Jake wasn't there. He was back on the first floor playing the guitar. I liked the songs he was playing.


"Hey, there is another bathroom upstairs, you can take it if you want." Nick told me and pushed me towards Mike.
"Really? Thank you.", I said, very excited about having my own bathroom now, and looked at Mike, who had caught me and got me back on my feet.
"But the house is not completely renovated yet and you have to sleep with us in the living room.", Mike confessed to me with a grin.

I looked at him with my mouth open completely perplexed:
"You can not be serious!"
"Sure, otherwise I wouldn't voluntarily lie down in the same room with those snoring guys.", Shane said with a laugh, punching Nick in the side.
Speechless, I took a shower and wondered where I should sleep now.


I slept on the couch.
They had decided that on their own and of course I submitted, because on my first day here I didn't want to start an argument with the others.They sat in front of me on their newly laid mattresses and played a shooting game on the PlayStation.
Shane and Jake were really good, winning four out of ten games each. I lay down and watched them mindlessly.
Soon after, my eyelids became heavy and I slipped gently into a peaceful sleep. I saw the beautiful colors of the meadow and the forest in my dream and was just happy.
I'll get used to Jake, too, at least I think.
