Fanfic: Whispering In Your Heart

Chapter: Slept bad?

I woke up frightened and looked around. I had a nightmare. A terrible one.
I just couldn't remember what happened in it or why it was so terrible in the first place. My hair was stuck to my forehead and I checked my watch.
Not until three in the morning. I decided to take a shower.
I got up quietly and carefully stepped over the boys, got some comfortable things out of my suitcase and padded into the bathroom.
The water was doing incredibly well and I relaxed a little. If only a little.

When I got out of the shower, it was just four o'clock and I went into the kitchen, got a Coke from the fridge and wondered why I couldn't remember what I had dreamed of.
Normally you have to know why you woke up frightened and then even feared to lie down again, but no matter how hard I tried, I could only remember the beautiful golden meadow and the forest shimmering in different shades of green, the rest fell to me just not one anymore.

I sat on the window board and watched the sky change color. First a light dark blue that got lighter and lighter and slowly turned pink.
When it was orange, I decided to make breakfast.

I fried eggs and bacon, made sandwiches and baked a cherry pie. It was good that Eddy had brought some food and stuff over there last night. It was just nine o'clock when I heard someone go softly up the stairs. It was Jake. I wondered when he had left, I hadn't heard.
He went into the bathroom. I put everything on the table in the kitchen and woke the other three.
As I learned yesterday, Jake is the oldest, he'll be eighteen in a few days and the other three were seventeen. I didn't get sick for six months and that annoyed me a little.
Shane had dark brown, almost black hair, Nick had blonde and Mike had dark blonde hair. Jake's hair was chocolate brown.

We ate together and I put a plate aside for Jake - who had moved back down to his guitar - otherwise the others would eat everything up and he would start the day hungry.

I had just eaten a sandwich and an egg by then Nick and Mike had already eaten three sandwiches, loads of bacon and four fried eggs. I was really amazed because not even my classmates at home had eaten that much during lunch breaks. Maybe I just hadn't noticed.

They sat down in front of the television and watched another soccer game, I went to do the dishes.
Jake stood next to me and ate. He was drying the plates when I was done and we heard the boys shouting.
[b]"Tooor!"[b /]
I smiled and he went quickly to see who had scored the goal and in the process I put the plates away.We tried to get along. Well, at least I tried.

It was only a week and a half ago when I came here, but I felt like I'd lived with them forever. It was really funny with the boys, I could annoy them if they did something wrong and nag them if they couldn't get their asses up to help us again. Then I always had to suppress a laugh when they gave me funny looks. It was fun and I could tell them everything, for example I could tell them about my family or all the schools I went to.

While I was talking they would look at me and they wouldn’t always get such a strange look and they wouldn’t just say "mhhhh" or "ahaa" ...
They also told me about themselves, all four had known each other for a long time. I also learned that our fathers, even mine, went to school together once and are best friends to this day.
That's why the four of them lived together because their daddies all had to work far away and a lot, just like my father.

Eddy is Nick's dad and he is the only one who ran a successful company around here, so our fathers agreed and decided that we can all stay in Eddy's care, even though he only comes anyway for example when he brings us food or something.

So we are most of the time without parental supervision, because Eddy trusted us in some messed up way;). He actually believed we wouldn't do anything. He told Jake to worry about us since he's the oldest, although he was just childish at times, but I've been helping him since I got around.
We did the housework together and cook for the others, because otherwise they would call a pizza service every day or come home with bulging bags from McDo ...

Worst of all, although I got used to the boys - even Jake - not their constant snoring. I started to get along with Jake. I still didn't know why he hated me the first few days, but he got nicer to me too. We didn't talk much, but we began to understand each other. But sometimes the boys were really weird, once I woke up again - suppressing a scream - and the house was empty. Not a soul.
They weren't home until noon and they didn't want to tell me what they'd been up to, no matter how much cih nagged and scolded and asked. Jake was actually the funniest, he was very moody, sometimes he was nice and polite to me, then he was totally withdrawn and another time he was aggressive again, almost quarrelsome. Also, I still had the feeling that the color of his eyes was darkening. I couldn't explain it to myself, even the excuse with the light or something no longer worked.I didn't even believe myself anymore.

In general, I always had to fall asleep first, otherwise I could forget about it right away, and at the moment I always woke up early. I still had the same nightmare, woke up drenched in sweat and then couldn't remember what I had dreamed.

We were watching some series on TV and I nodded off in the first ten minutes.
I felt someone cover me up and tired I turned to one side and went back to sleep.

"It will happen whether you like it or not, Jake. It will be just like ours."
"Shane, I know that, but it's worth a try, I don't want her to be like us, it's bad enough that we always have to keep everything from her."
"You're right, either we'll tell her or we'll throw her out, maybe nothing will happen then ?!"
"But she is a girl ..."
"Yes, no!"
"... but she is a girl and it is possible that it is not the case with her ?!"
"Nick, shut up," came the chorus.
"It has to be like that, it happened to our fathers too."
"Yes, FATHER, Mike, FATHER !! Not MOTHER!"
"Jack doesn't have a boy, so it has to be her, she is the oldest of his children:"
"She's ADOPTED, damn it!"
"Still he is her uncle of some degree, they are related."
"Yeah, but HE IS NOT YOUR DAD!"
"Think about it, look at her family, who else have children besides her mother and Jack? She is the oldest in the generation that has no idea, no matter who had the child, she is the next in the Order, even if it only belongs indirectly to Jack. His own child is only eleven. "
"We are also the first of the generation in our family, Nick it doesn't work, it is her."
"Sure, look, she hardly sleeps anymore, has nightmares and her eyes are changing."
"But I think your brown eyes are better than that."
"Hey look, it's already happening, then at least Shane and Jake can't throw you out."
"Sure, I wouldn't have let her go anyway, even if I had to hit those two green and blue."
"Yeah, you wouldn't have made it anyway."
"Oh yes, should I prove it to you ?!"
"Have a seat? Nothing and nobody is being beaten here."
There was a long silence. Everyone had their own thoughts, and yet they all revolve around Katie.
"Who is telling her?" Asked Nick.
"Always the one who asks!", Mike tried to lighten the mood a little.
"Jake?"
"Yes, I'll tell her, but only when it's time," he sighed.
"Sure, dude, I'm sleeping now, afterwards she wakes up again and screams the whole place. Before that, I want to get at least a little sleep."
"Yes, night."
"Clear"
* Schnach *
"It's typical, Nick is happy that he doesn't have to do anything."
"Tzz"
* Snore *
"Mike is the same ..."
"Tell her soon," Shane whispered sadly.Long silence.
* Snore *
"Always, dude"

I woke up once again with a pounding heart.
"Hey, you slept badly?" Jake whispered to me.
"Ever since I've been here." I answer tiredly and rub my eyes.
I wanted to get up and go out so that the others could go back to sleep, but he looked at me so hard that I crawled under the covers to him. It was comforting to lie next to him, I snuggled closer to him and dozed off again. He took me gently in his arms and I felt his heartbeat. His even breathing and the soothing * bumbum bumbum * made me fall asleep again quickly.
I woke up sleepily to find that today, for the first time in a long time, I slept more than a few hours. Still dazed from sleep, I sat up and stretched. I was lying alone in the room, I looked at the clock in amazement. Half past one already. I got up slowly and walked around the house to see where the others were. There was nobody in the house, even when I called for them nobody answered me. I shrugged my shoulders and took a shower.
Today I decided to make spaghetti carbonara. It smelled heavenly when I started cooking. Happy and well rested, I whistled happily to myself. The loud footsteps on the stairs could hardly be overheard.
"Wohaa, ey, what are you doing there? Smells so delicious."
"Jake has never managed that before." Nick added ironically with a sidelong glance at him. he jokingly punched him in the side and got a couple of plates. Today they decided to show me the city, I was happy that we did something together.

In town I dragged her to the nearest movie theater and we watched some action movie, then I dragged her from shop window to shop window and tried to persuade her to go shopping with me. Everyone just shrugged and I left it at that. Then we went to eat ice cream. I ordered a huge chocolate mug and spooned it into it with relish.
"Hey, be careful not to get fat," Mike said with a laugh. I glared at him and continued to eat, insulted.
"Yeah, you didn't just take a little pellet either.", Chris had ordered a cherry mug, Shane was eating spaghetti ice cream, Nick had ordered a huge * Whatever-It-Is * mug, I really didn't know what that should
