Wandelnder Mond
Chapter 1
When I walked through the front door, there was a whole group of people at the entrance, looking at me like a museum attraction. Probably because of what I was wearing. Well, maybe I should have seen beforehand what people are wearing, a witch's robe might not be the right thing.
Before that, I went to school in Crystis, the magic world, and these clothes were the most normal in the world for me, but because my mother had to come back to the human world, I have to get used to it. That was really annoying. My mother didn't want to stay there because she didn't get the witch genes of her tribe herself, but my father belonged to one of the most powerful wizarding families. My brother Elias left out the gene. It annoyed him anyway and he didn't want to. He kept making fun of me when something unusual happened.
I was suddenly completely torn from my thoughts when a madwoman came up to me and tugged at my robe.
>> Would you please leave that? << I asked in a friendly tone at first.
She looked at me and said: >> What kind of freak outfit is that? Are you a witch? << She started laughing out loud.
>> Just laugh, I'll curse you as soon as I have my crystal back. <<
She kept laughing, and now even louder.
Unbelievers, I thought. That kind of thing should be punished, but if Mom caught me doing it, or found out, I'd be house arrested for life and witches don't exactly die young.
I think my father once mentioned that he has an aunt who is over 200 years old. I still had a long life ahead of me.
Suddenly the school bell rang. I ran into the bathroom and used my magic to get a new outfit. Now I was wearing dark blue jeans and a red top.
>> Go ahead <<, I said to myself.
When I got to the classroom, the teacher looked at me a bit punishingly because I was 5 minutes late, but when he found out that I was new here, he calmed down a bit and just said that I was definitely lost. Not knowing what to say, I just nodded.
In the first lesson we had physics, how boring. Who cared. People are all so gullible that they had no idea that rainbows were made with magic. For this world, there was always some idiot explanation.
When the story came up in the next hour, things got a little more exciting. Mrs. Norbert, our history teacher, even talked about witches, but supposedly they were burned in the Middle Ages. What nonsense, I think of the millions of people who burned them for allegedly being witches, maybe 300 witches were there. I laughed inwardly. It was so ridiculous here.
When the doorbell rang at the end of school and everyone stormed out, I was about to watch the lunchtime classes when I suddenly bumped into someone. All her books were scattered on the floor, including mine.
>> I'm really sorry about that. Wait, I'll help you. << I said and picked up her books and gave them to her. It struck me that their course schedule included a lunchtime course called Mythology.
>> Are you taking up mythology? That's cool. I find magic and
something totally cool. <<
At first she just stared at me. As if I had some ugly pimple on my face.
>> Yes, but I don't know yet if I'm going. It depends on whether there are many there. <<
>> I don't think there are many. Most of them no longer believe in things like vampires and elves and that sort of thing. <<
>> Yes, maybe you are right. If you want, I can tell you where Mrs. Bixby is. <<
>> Bixby? << I asked surprised.
>> Yes why? <<
>> Does she have shoulder-length red hair and crystal blue eyes? About
1.70 m tall? <<
>> Um ... yes. <<
I sighed and rolled my eyes. She was really crazy, then I smiled.
>> It doesn't matter. If you want, we can meet again at the lockers after lunch. You can show me where the course is taking place. <<
She nodded and said goodbye.
So I went to the cafeteria and ordered an apple. When I was at the table I didn't want to get up again to get a knife so I did some magic. At first I had looked around that nobody was watching me, but someone had seen me.
A girl with auburn hair came running up to me and stared at me. At first I thought she was like that chick in the hallway who made fun of me, but then she grinned at me and it got really scary ...
