Unverhofftes Wiedersehen
Clear words
The sight of the city from the sky was gigantic and so beautiful that Chihiro wanted to get off her saddle and let himself fall. She loved to fly, she enjoyed every minute and second that passed. But she was quickly pulled out of her thoughts when she heard a voice in her mind. It was Haku! Involuntarily she looked down at the dragon, which was trying to start a conversation with her.
"Chihiro, can you hear me?"
She wondered if she should answer him and decided to let him fidget - out of sheer glee.
"Answer me! I've been following your thought processes!"
"Yes, yes," she finally gave in. She turned briefly to Yusuke, who was clinging to her from behind. He was terrified of heights and therefore screwed up his eyes the whole time. At some point, however, he fell asleep, so Chihiro had to hold his hands on her stomach. It was quite an amusing sight as Yusuke accidentally leaned against Spirited Away.
Now she turned back to Haku.
"What do you want?"
"I ... I want to talk to you."
"And why?"
"It is obvious that you are mad at me. Is it because of my girlfriend?"
"I'm not mad at you ... just a little ... disappointed ... ..that is it ..."
"Because I couldn't keep my promise?"
"Yes."
For Chihiro it was as if there were worlds between them. Nothing he said reached her in any way. She just didn't understand why he hadn't kept his word, but only went to her because he had problems in his world. Yes, you could say that she expected something different. In addition, he had unexpectedly told her about his girlfriend. Wasn't that reason enough to be angry. And now she noticed herself that she had used the word "sour" - or was it rather jealous?
"I knew it ...", Haku's voice penetrated her head again.
Damn it! She had completely forgotten that he could hear her thoughts! Now he knew everything! But ... she wanted to show her cold side.
"Unbelievable that you tried that, Chihiro."
"So what? ... I had a reason for that!"
"Tell me what I've missed in the last few years!"
Unbelievable how he just brazenly tried to change the subject. He missed everything! Everything! How she had to find her way, how she had to deal with the death of her grandfather, how she had met her friends, how she had fallen in love with Yusuke. Everything!
“I'm sorry.” There was sorrow in his voice.
"And why didn't you keep your promise?"
"I wanted to do it, but I couldn't live in a world in which I couldn't be myself. I became Zinaba's student, met Airi and built my own life. You will be amazed when you see what I can do! ", he said full of anticipation.“I'm looking forward to it.” A smile appeared on her lips. You could tell she was right with him again. Although she had to hesitate a little about how quickly they got along again.
"Will you allow me to look at all of your memories of Yusuke? I want to know what kind of person he is."
"Why do you ask? You can already hear my thoughts."
"For this spell I need the consent of the" victim "."
"Yeah well, all right."
Suddenly Chihiro's eyes went black. She had to support her head. Suddenly she felt so dizzy that she no longer knew what was happening to her. She only noticed how she was getting more and more tired. It was getting dark around them.
When she woke up again, the first thing she saw was Yusuke's worried face above her own. "Chihiro, can you hear me? Chihiro!" From panic he got reddish spots on his cheeks. It seemed like he hadn't left her side the entire time she passed out. He gently brushed a strand of hair from her face. She tried to sit up, but he gently pushed her back into the pillow. She could see that he had red eyes and involuntarily wondered why he had been so angry, which she interpreted as the reason for the broken veins in his eye.
~ Flashback ~
Haku knew that after using the spell, she would lose consciousness. So he conjured belts on the seats of his sleeping passengers so that they could not fall out of their seats. Almost at the same time he was looking at Yusuke in Spirited Away's memories. Now he knew everything about him. And he had the faint suspicion that Yusuke was only taking advantage of his Chihiro. 'It is clear that he only sees Chihiro as a replacement for Tamao!'
When they landed, Haku rudely woke Yusuke. Still sleeping in his eyes, he was now facing Haku and had to answer his questions.
"Why did you ask Chihiro if she wanted to be your friend?"
"Because I like her?"
"But you like your Tamao a lot more!"
"How do you know that ?! She is no substitute for Tamao for me!"
“I didn't say that either.” Haku's eyes narrowed into slits. “I just thought it, but didn't say it.” 'People are so predictable! ", thought Haku in the meantime.
"A ... ..But I really like her ... ...", Yusuke stammered.
"Yes, it is possible that you LIKE her. But you don't love her - not like I do!
I know how much she loves you, how much you mean or mean to her. But you trampled her feelings by choosing another girl. Do you even know how you literally tore her heart apart ?! "
In Yusuke's stomach, anger slowly gathered "NO! I don't know! And unlike you, I don't live in the past, but in the here and now."And if you try to insinuate that I don't like her with all my heart and start to love her, then you won't live to see the next day! Do you understand?! I really don't want to have any trouble or argument with you, so I ask you to let me and Chihiro just live out our feelings. "
'Amazing boy ...'
"Well, Yusuke. I see that your feelings for her are real. But if I see that you should break her heart again, the same applies to you what you said to me earlier." Haku held his own Hand out. "Friends?", He then said to Yusuke, who struck without hesitation. "Yes."
~ Flashback end ~
Now Haku came up to the bed and put his hand on Yusuke's shoulder. "I told you she would wake up."
"Yes, you were right." Concerned, Yusuke looked at Chihiro again, who was looking at him curiously. "What happened?" She asked a little upset.
"I brought you into the world of spirits and gods. And you fell asleep on the flight here. We are now in my little house. Take a rest first. Then we can talk."
Said and done. Without further ado, Yusuke lay down in bed next to Chihiro and hugged her there. He just couldn't forget what Haku had said to him. That he likes and even loves Chihiro much more, that could not be possible, since Yusuke had seen Haku Chihiro naively tell about his girlfriend. Didn't that mean that Haku didn't love his girlfriend at all, but that she was just a cheap replacement for Chihiro. The thought made him uncomfortable. Because what if Haku tried to relax Chihiro for him? Did he really have to see a competitor in Haku?
'How sweet…. ', Chihiro thought as Yusuke wrapped his arms around her while lying down. She stroked his hair, which, in keeping with the trend from Korea, had grown a little longer and was colored a brown shade. And now he was her friend. How long had she wanted this moment. And now it's not just a dream, but a reality - a dream she will never wake up from.
Meanwhile, Haku has withdrawn in a corner of his little hut, from which he found magic formulas in old books and watched the lovebird. They seemed happy together. He remembered the moments, the days and months when his longing for Chihiro consumed him. And now she was so close to him, but so far. She had chosen another man. It hurt his heart to see her like that - with a stranger by her side. A knock on his front door got him out of his mind.
When he got up, he noticed that Chihiro and Yusuke were no longer in bed, but sat down at the dining table, where they talked cheerfully and made faces in between.A beautiful girl was standing in front of him at the door. She had long black hair that was tied in a loose braid. She was very slim and quite tall, but given the fact that Haku himself wasn't exactly the smallest, the girl's size was put into perspective again. She wore a simple kimono with a delicate floral pattern. In addition, her large eyes with the long and curved eyelashes caught her eye. Her lips were full and her cheekbones were high. All in all, you could say that she was the most beautiful girl he had ever met - but in a certain way that he couldn't quite explain himself, he found Chihiro prettier. In contrast to the beautiful girl, Chihiro looked more youthful, cheeky and "more human". Was it because he still loved Chihiro?
