Chapter: Shredded under the earth

It had been a month. Hidan and Kakuzu haven't been with Akatsuki for a month. It wasn't because they got out or went on vacation. No, the two were defeated a month ago. In plain language the two were dead as a couple. My name is Namine Zutoko, but most people just call me Nami.
I want to tell you a story, my story to be precise. I'll tell you how it came about that I am what I am now. A bloodthirsty Jashinist, well more precisely a Jashinist.

As I said before, Hidan and Kakuzu haven't been there for a month. I had to admit that Hidan's absence really hit me. The two of us had always got into each other's wool and sometimes hit each other bloody, but still we had become what they call friends. Yes friendship. I still don't really know what that actually meant. I didn't know anything like love, security or care. Even as a small child I had to go through difficult times, but that doesn't matter at all at the moment. Akatsuki was part of me and I was part of Akatsuki. At first I didn't like it at all, but later it was even fun to be a member. You should know that I did not become a member of my own free will. Just like my good buddy Deidara, I was more forced and blackmailed than anything else. But since I didn't have any other life anyway, in the end I didn't really care. I wasn't assigned to a real team because it just didn't work out, that's why I was on that team once and on the other team again for the next mission. This gave me variety and was able to find out more about each and every one of them. Yes, but when I came back from a mission a month ago and learned that Hidan and Kakuzu had died, I just lost my temper. It was just a shock. How dare that stupid Jashinist just die like that. For a long time I just sat there staring holes in the ceiling, but then suddenly something very important occurred to me. Hidan was a Jashinist and Jashinists were immortal, so he couldn't be dead. Or was I wrong? Maybe it was still lying around somewhere. Nobody had actually told me exactly HOW Hidan had died. I didn't really care about Kakuzu, I never really had much to do with him. I decided to go to Pain and just ask him. I found him when he was stopping Deidara to jump Tobi in the air. "Pain I have to ask you something?"
* BOOM * too late Deidara had blown his clay animal right next to Tobi. "DAMN DEIDARA!" shouted the leader furiously, shaking the dust from his cloak. “It's his own fault,” the blond-haired man mumbled and grimaced. "Deidara Senpai you'd better practice aiming."Said Tobi who was standing next to his Senpai." Deidara, I am warning you. If you want to argue, I don't really care, but not in here! Go outside and blow everything up there. "
“As far as I am. Come on Tobi, I'll blow you up outside.” Deidara said and dragged the mask wearer with him, who naturally tried to free himself from the grip in vain.
" And what do you want?" the orange-haired leader turned to me. "I just wanted to ask you something. Have Hidan and Kakuzu's bodies been found?"
Now he looked at me thoughtfully. "No. I suspect they took Kakuzu's body to Konoha and Hidan. Who knows, I'm not exactly sure what happened to him. You must have incapacitated him, most likely his body parts are scattered around somewhere."
The idea was just disgusting that Hidan's body parts were just lying around in the way. "But he should still be alive. If we find him he can continue to work for Akatsuki."
Now Pain narrowed his eyes and sighed in annoyance. "You're still grieving. Stop worrying about others, Akatsuki members don't do that. They are not your friends, they are your work colleagues."
"Why should I worry about Hidan? I don't give a shit what is wrong with him, this is about Akatsuki. The fewer members we have, the more assignments the others have to take on, and that sucks." show and most of all I could often not tell the truth. I had something called pride and honor and it was extremely important to me that those two things weren't hurt. I just can't show things like weaknesses. It doesn't matter. I was just bored and needed someone to argue with. “Sure.” Pain rolled his eyes.
"Where did you fight?" I poked on.
"In the area between Konha-Gakure and Iwa-Gakure. They fought in the dead forest. If you really want to find Hidan you can be prepared for a long search. I am very sure that you will not find him."
Well, those were the last words he said to me as a mortal. Especially with the last sentence he was so wrong. If I wanted something, I got it, no matter what it cost. I poked Zetsu from who told me everything about the area and then I was gone.

I think I was on the road for about two days. I never thought that this area was that far away. When I finally got there, the greatest search of my life began. It was like looking for a needle in a haystack. I searched the whole dead forest, but somehow I found nothing. No chopped off hand or a head grumbling angrily. But it just had to be somewhere. I went deeper into the forest where the trees looked much more alive, the leaves were green and the bark was still brown as it should be.Exhausted, I sank down on the floor and looked bored at the surroundings. Nothing but trees were ... stop! Wait what is that There was a big pile of stones back there. Immediately I jumped up again and ran over to the little hill. It looked like someone had buried something here. Maybe a sweetheart. I didn't think about it for long and I was already clearing away the earth and stones. Maybe it was a valuable scroll or a valuable amulet. While I was thinking about what might be underground, I didn't even notice that I was shoveling away something very important. Not with a shovel, no with my hands that were now full of earth. Pretty gross, but I had to keep looking for the treasure. I grinned and wondered how I might buy my way out of Akatsuki when I suddenly felt something soft on my hands. Suddenly I looked into the hole and screamed. My right hand had scooped something weird free. I couldn't see what it was, but there was something extremely human about it. It looked very skin colored. OMG °. °. Why do I only get this idea now. It was so obvious. Someone had buried a corpse here and it was my turn to shake it up. I cried out in disgust and quickly butted the whole earth back onto the corpse. I wiped my hands on my coat and threw up in the meadow. That was just too disgusting. I sat pale as a sheet and stared at the pile as if hypnotized. But suddenly I heard something. It sounded a lot like a mumble. What was the matter now? It wasn't loud at all and if you didn't listen carefully, no one would hear it. Oh crap, maybe the corpse wasn't dead yet? Well then it couldn't be a corpse -.-. I got up quickly and began to shovel away the earth. If someone was really still alive, I had to help them, it was just too cruel a death. I wasn't that nasty either. And again I discovered the skin, but I stayed strong and kept buttering. *. * there was only one arm. Oh shit there was only a single arm. Ok, stay calm where was the rest. I pulled my hand out of the hole and looked at it. It was a muscular arm and it had a ring on one finger. It was clearly an Akatsukiring, I recognized that immediately. Maybe ... no that was impossible. Nevertheless, I shoveled faster and faster and found more and more body parts that pointed to my theory. It was Hidan. It could only be Hidan's dismembered body. I had already found his two arms and one foot. I strained to continue digging when suddenly two purple eyes glared at me angrily. I screamed, startled, but quickly composed myself. I grinned and shoveled the rest of his head free. He must have spat out a dozen dirt. And how could it have turned out differently, did he begin to complain? "Why did it take so long?"
"I don't know what you mean," I said sardonically. "It doesn't matter, please get me out of here. IMMEDIATELY."
"Huh. In your situation you want to give me orders? I could also throw some earth on your head again." I said and finally enjoyed having someone to argue with again. And above all, I enjoyed the fact that at the moment I was in control of his fate. Hidan was so angry that his whole head turned red and he closed his eyes so as not to cry with anger. "Don't worry, I'll get you out. On one condition."
"And what would it be?" he asked annoyed, expecting the worst. “Say PLEASE.” I didn't want to hear any more at the moment. "Are you kidding me? Get me OUT of here right now!"
"Even if I did that, you wouldn't get very far. At the moment, you my dear only consist of a fetched head that is filled with earth."
Now he looked around somewhat startled. Didn't he really notice that he no longer had a body? "Damn shit I totally forgot about that. I'm going to kill that bastard for it."
" Whom?"
"That guy from Konoha. He blew me to pieces and then buried me alive," he said and you could see the sheer blind hatred in his voice. "I'll help you kill him." I heard myself say without steering it. I didn't know why I had just said that and Hidan also seemed a bit confused. "Now we have to think about how we can patch you up again. After all, Kakuzu can't do it."
