Whisper in the dark - Old things get dirty

"Boss..."
The secondary guard's whisper was barely audible and yet Tsuna seemed to have understood her. Carefully he put his hand around hers, feeling the deep cuts in the fragile hand. Chrome winced imperceptibly when she felt the 10th Vongola's sweaty hands. But even though it caused her so much pain, she was glad to have the affection of her boss - her good friend.

The bell struck three times after the large clock hand had barely noticeably stepped to 12. It was over, they had won this fight.
Tsuna's gaze turned over the rubble of the district, which had been completely destroyed in the clashes. Then he turned to his subordinate. There were deep cuts on her porcelain-like body and her right leg appeared to be broken. No trace of the other guards.
She felt him squeeze her hand and closed her eyes.
"Let's find the others, Chrome .."
"Yes, boss .."
"You should call me Tsuna .."
He gave her an exhausted smile and she tried to smile back, but failed.

Pain - incredible pain.
That was the only thing Hayato could feel at that moment. His eyelids fluttered briefly before opening his eyes fully. That it was still dark in spite of everything had to mean that it was already night. A low, relieved sigh left his lips before he carefully straightened up. Again the pain shot through him, again he had to clench his teeth in order not to cry out.
He looked at his arm, from which part of his humerus bone was peeking out, grumbled something unintelligible, and then turned his gaze to the pool of blood. It was his blood, and quite a bit of it. Hayato was surprised that he was still conscious and tried to get up completely.
Tsuna, he had to see his boss.

Only now did I notice that a bone was sticking out of his leg and making it impossible for him to stand at all.
"Crap!"
Immediately he grabbed his chest and felt the almost dried blood. Every movement caused him more and more pain. He couldn't go on, but collapsed again. This time, however, he was caught.
His gaze turned up to the face of his greatest arch-rival.
"Yamato ..."
Yamato Takeshi grinned, as always. But the fight had not passed him without damage either. Out of the corner of his eye, the Vongola boss's right hand could see the cuts on the other's face. Would they heal?
"Don't die, Gokudera ..."
"I won't, I could never forgive myself ..."
The silver-haired man closed his eyes again and allowed the other to support him.
"I know.."

"Hibari, Hibari!"
"Nhh ..", Kyouya uttered and allowed his little, yellow friend to make himself comfortable on his chest."Hibari, Hibari!"
"Nhh," he uttered again and opened his eyes a crack to look at his friend. "I'm still alive, don't worry .."
Hibird spread his little wings and fluttered wildly on the cloud guard's chest.
"Chrome, Chrome!"
Slightly surprised, the seriously injured man sat up and turned his head backwards. In fact, it was Chrome who came running up to him and kneeled next to him.
"Are you all right, Hibari-san?", She asked worried and Kyouya nodded.
Her blouse was soaked in blood, so it wasn't hard to see her sigh of relief.
His black eyes wandered further over the woman's body, saw the deep wounds and finally got stuck on the leg.
"You shouldn't run with a broken leg .." he said monotonously, but looked at the woman almost reproachfully. Her whole body winced when her eyes met his. Hibari stood up immediately, almost too hastily. But he didn't show his pain and looked down at Chrome. She tilted her head to one side, almost as if she were ashamed. A kind of squeak escaped her throat as the bigger one pulled her into his arms with a jerk.
"Hi-Hibari-san!"
"It would be irresponsible to let you walk with a broken leg ..."
She looked at him in surprise as he heaved her into his arms. But then he noticed her look and added:
"Don't think I'm doing this for you .. I'm only doing this for Sawada ..."
"Still, thank you ..."
He snorted and a slight smile - which even Chrome couldn't see - crept onto his lips.

The ambulances of the Vongola family were already in place when Ryouhei and Lambo could also be rescued. Both were unconscious and things were so bad for Lambo that he was immediately driven to a hospital by ambulance - together with Gokudera, who had meanwhile passed out again.
A few minutes later, Yamato was reluctant to be driven by ambulance to a hospital, because he would rather help to rescue passers-by and other people. But after he was told that he would not be of much help anyway, he climbed into the second to last ambulance, in which Ryouhei was already coming to his senses. Both of you and Chrome were finally driven to a hospital, where their wounds should also be treated.
Tsuna looked at the horror that was being offered to him. He swallowed noticeably and then turned to Hibari, who didn’t show anything.
"It's not over yet, is it?"
Hibari didn't look at him and stroked the soft fuzz of his friend Hibird.
"Would you ask if it wasn't so?"
With the uneasy feeling, Tsuna got into the last ambulance and Hibari closed the doors behind them both.
As the next ambulance passed them, the Vongola boss's thoughts were still on the battlefield. It wasn't over yet, because he still had this uncomfortable feeling.
And his feeling was never wrong -Unfortunately.
