When the storm finally subsided to a drizzle, the Konoha ninjas were able to continue their journey. When they arrived at the border to Kumo, the first thing they noticed was that there were an astonishing number of guards on patrol.
They were checked and asked for their destination and mission. "Our job is secret, it's only business of the Raikage," Gai replied to the impolite question. "If you don't reveal your assignment, I can't let you pass, I'm sorry," he said ironically, with a sardonic grin on his face. As expected it got too colorful for Lee and he ran straight to the border. Just before that, half a dozen Ninas stood in his way. He would have attacked her without batting an eyelid if Neji and Tenten hadn't stopped him.
Meanwhile a heated argument raged between Gai and the guard. He thought they were not confidential as they did not give any information about their trip. In an inattentive moment, the guard slipped out important information, which he immediately regretted. "Nobody is allowed to enter the land under the clouds without getting a permit, as one could assume they are working with the killer gang!" "What is this killer gang?" Gai asked innocently. “This is neither your problem nor that of Konoha is going away!” Slowly you saw the Taijustsu trainer getting impatient. He said politely, "Even if that is not our problem. We have to go to Kumogakure on an important political mission!" 'Too bad that nobody recognizes us here ...' not only he thought to himself.
The two argued for a while until another guy from the guard came and interfered. He finally found a solution that both were more or less satisfied with. A carrier pigeon was sent to Konohagakure on his orders, confirming that Team Gai could not be dangerous in any way.

Rin bent down and listened. Your sister couldn't have come very far! She had just started running! 'She is really good! I haven't heard or seen anything yet, but I also thought that she couldn't hear or see me. 'She grinned to herself. But as if the thought had betrayed her, a branch cracked behind her. In a flash she turned around and pulled out a kunai. But it was only Kai. He smiled soothingly. "Did you find her?" he asked in a whisper. Rin said no, shaking his head. Then she felt something sharp on her throat. "Ha! I've got you guys" She saw that her twin brother wasn't better off either. Ryu's short sword set at his throat. She grins arrogantly as if she had won.
"Think," said Rin and Kai as if from the same mouth. From one moment to the next everything happened very quickly. The kunai's handle went slippery as if a layer of water had surrounded it. The katana's handle got scorching hot.
Now it was up to Rin and Kai to grin. Ryu let go of the guns and was kicked hard in the stomach.But instead of writhing on the floor, it evaporated. Ryu had snuck behind the twins during the seconds the two were inattentive.
She quietly pulled two kunais out of her pocket and threw them. Perfectly targeted. The kunais flew close to the ears of the two and tore them open. Ryu won! For the first time she had won against both siblings! Only two days after she was so miserably beaten up by her sister in taijutsu!
But their joy was short-lived. The two fizzled out like they did before. "What the ...?" She really wasn't prepared for that! Ryu gave a startled groan as a long sword was placed around her neck and a kunai was pressed into her back.
"Manno, I almost ...!" the girl complained, but her brother intervened. "The trick with the bunshin was really good. Let's stop. You should always end the training with some success, no matter how small."
"You always make your big talk," his older sister threw in and punched him loosely in the shoulder. "Ouch are you crazy?" her brother exclaimed not without being able to hide a malicious grin. “What that wasn’t sure… you wimp!” This battle of words ended, as Ryu had already suspected, in a half-hearted fight.
Only when the two were interrupted by a small electric shock from Ryu's direction did they stop. Rin grinned and helped her brother up. As always, she had the upper hand in such fights.
"Let's go eat," Ryu nagged when the two nodded again. The further disagreement was resolved by another electric shock. Finally, the three of them sat peacefully around the campfire and ate.
"Your Raiton is really annoying" her brother suddenly began. "Would you like to swap a chain with me? Then I can give our dear Rin electric shocks!" Ryu laughed and said no. "How am I supposed to settle one of your quarrels with Katon or Doton? That still works best with Raiton!"
