The storm
I woke up in the middle of the night to a scratchy sound.
I blinked in the darkness, irritated.
The whole room shook below me and my table on which my self-designed maps and sea maps were, slid past me.
Muffled screams reached my ears
A storm!
There was a state of emergency on board and the navigator of all people was asleep?
> As always, I was not woken up! <, I thought and pushed aside my covers.
The ground was cold.
I would have loved to lie down again, but instead I got to my feet and changed. Keeping your balance in this swell was almost impossible. I kept bumping into a bookshelf or other furniture that I couldn't see in the dark.
Sighing, I made my way to the door, but didn't take my eyes off the desk for fear it might slide towards me.
Outside I was greeted by an icy, biting wind.
In the next moment I was hit by a wave that had piled up over the ship and I stumbled back a little bit.
When I heard a laugh I looked up.
There he stood, our captain, with his straw hat, which he held on so that he would not be swept away by a strong gust.
"Ha, ha, ha! Did you see that?", He held his stomach with laughter.
Usopp added: "Yes! Now she looks like a doused poodle!"
I glared at both of them and carefully walked over to them, every now and then I stopped and held onto the railing.
Suddenly a huge wave built up in front of me, but I was too far away to hold onto anything. I looked around in panic. A thunder made me flinch and the lightning that followed made sure that I saw the water masses more clearly in front of me than I would like.
I was paralyzed.
Something like this had never happened to me!
The next moment two strong hands touched my Talie and pulled me to safety.
Meanwhile my hair was stuck to my forehead and blocked my view.
However, I felt that someone was nearby and that I was standing with my back to a wall.
Just as I raised my hand to get a clear view, a hand beat me.
He stroked my cheek and tucked my hair behind my ear. My eyes caught a rain-soaked face. I looked up hesitantly.
"Namischatz! Are you okay?", Sanji whispered in my ear.
A pleasant shiver ran down my spine.
"Of course everything is fine! I'm not made of sugar!" I replied snuggly. My heart was racing in my chest and I prayed that he didn't notice that I was blushing.
A gentle, loving smile crossed his face.
"HEY! Schnitzelklopfer! Stop flirting! I need your help here!", Zorro's annoyed, deep voice reached my ears.
"Make yourself useful ...", I managed and he disappeared from my field of vision with an amorous look.It felt so good to be wanted by a man like him, but I would never tell him that.
The fish people just pushed me back and forth. There my ass was ... sorry, not looking at the tail fin, but here ...
By shaking my head I drove away these stupid thoughts and finally I met Luffy.
"Real wet t-shirt party, eh?" Said the straw hat boy, grinning when I reached him. I ignored this comment.
"Why don't any of you wake me up? Where are we?" I yelled at him over the noise.
"No ahem!" He replied with a shrug and felt my evil look on him.
I perceive movement in the corner of my eye. The darkness was again divided by lightning. Zorro, Coper and Sanji were fighting with a sail. Something was wrong, it couldn't be caught up. With tremendous effort everyone pulled a rope and shouted orders at each other, which in turn led to an argument.
"Climb up the mast and see what's going on up there!" Sanji shouted to Zorro.
"I don't take any orders from you, you're ONLY the cook here!" Was his answer, which probably sparked the argument.
"Great! Then it's your fault if we capsize, master toothpick!"
"What was that???"
"MASTER TOOTHPICK!"
Both let go of the rope and the little choper was torn into the air and desperately held on to this one. The brawlers threw more nonsensical insults at each other as the sea raged around them.
Luffy laughed to himself again. In the meantime it seemed a bit crazy to me and I shook my head back to my room, there I wanted to calculate our position. Just as I got to the brawlers, Zorro pulled out his swords.
Immediately I wanted to end the argument, I took the swordsman by the shoulder and mumbled the following in his ear: "Do you like your new swords? The ones I have STRETCHED for you? If this ship really goes down I will charge you TRIPLE PLUS INTEREST!"
I literally heard how he swallowed and knew that the arguments were over for the time being.
With quick steps I disappeared into my cabin, changed my clothes again and grabbed a towel that I put around my shoulders to avoid my new T-shirt getting wet again.
