When Tsunade entered the room again, the indescribable feeling of exhaustion and tiredness came over her again. Her body felt as heavy as lead. With every step she had to breathe deeply so as not to sag. The atmosphere in the room didn't help her stay awake either. It was dark, almost pitch black. Only two lamps in the middle of the room cast a faint light on the body that lay below them. He lay there motionless. If Tsunade hadn't known better, she would have thought he was death. But Sakura was alive. The paramedics had bandaged her entire body by now, which only reinforced the impression that she was dead. It was seldom that a ninja was injured so badly that it had to be completely bandaged, but with her student it was essential.
From the side she noticed a slight nudge. The Hokage turned her head slowly and heavily to the right. Shizune looked at her with a serious face, then fixed her gaze on Sakura and walked past Tsunade to her. Her steps echoed in the room. She stopped at Sakura's feet and slowly went to the ground. Tsunade followed everything with alert eyes. What did her student say again? A seal had been found on Sakura. She frowned, perplexed. Why hadn't she seen it during the examinations? Seals were usually clearly visible and virtually impossible to miss. Especially when extensive medical examinations have been carried out. A throat clearing ripped the Hokage out of her thoughts. She looked back at her two students. With a slight nod, Shizune indicated Sakura's right foot. With heavy steps she moved towards it. She was more than just curious what she would see now. She came closer and closer to the spot the Konoichi was looking at.
She knelt down and looked at the underside of her student's foot. But she couldn't see anything. Wounded, she frowned and took another closer look - nothing. Unsure, she turned her head to the right and looked at Shizune.
"I'm sorry, but I can't see anything."
Her student looked at her skeptically, but then something seemed to occur to her.
> Of course not, please excuse me. The seal is only visible through the chakra.
> Do you already know what kind of seal it is?
> It is a sealing of a mind, a very powerful mind as it seems. I haven't even seen a seal like that on the nine-tailed man.And then the way it was kept hidden. There really has to be a ... <
> It's okay, I got it. Is there a way to remove the seal? <
The Konoichi played uncertainly with her fingers. Tsunade assessed her with her gaze. After a few seconds the answer rang out and when Tsunade heard it, her blood was freezing in her veins.
> We can break the seal. It would take some time, but it would work. However, we cannot guarantee that Sakura would survive. <
There was absolute silence in the room. The Hokage could no longer think, no longer move, no longer breath. After a seemingly endless eternity, she found her voice again. She was just a whisper.
> Is it necessary to remove this seal? <
> We cannot say that. So far she has lived quite well with it, but no one can say whether it will harm her at some point. We don't know what exactly was sealed. <
A thousand thoughts shot back and forth in Tsunade's head. She couldn't really believe any of them. She just didn't know what to do. On the one hand you should loosen the seal to find out what is hidden behind it, because as Shizune said: sooner or later it could harm Sakura. But on the other hand, her student was still far too weak for this operation. What on earth was she supposed to be doing?
With an effort she got up and slowly walked towards the door. When she reached it, she put a tired hand on the handle. She took a deep breath before saying in a choked voice:
> Prepare everything. We will loosen the seal. <
And with these last words she turned the handle, opened the door and stepped out.
It was night and the residents of Konoha Gakure were already sleeping peacefully in their beds. Except Naruto. He was still walking aimlessly through the winding streets and alleys. Too much shot around in his head for him to sleep. He looked morosely at the sky. It was clear with stars and a full moon. Sakura had always loved those nights. His hands, buried in his pants pockets, clenched into fists. The second time Tsunade came out of the operating room, she had just walked past them without a single word of explanation. After that, he'd been sent home like a little boy. He should take a rest. But how on earth was that supposed to work?
The whole time his thoughts were on his best friend. Right now she was alone in the hospital room wrestling with her injuries. It made him so angry that they wouldn't let him see her. Didn't anyone understand that Sakura needed him now, after all they were a team - no, they were more than that and that's exactly why he had to go to her.
Naruto's gaze fell to one side. Without realizing it, his feet had carried him to the hospital. For the fifth time that day. He sighed heavily and closed his eyes. The sight of Tsunde shot him in the head. That worried look that also reflected fear and indecision. He didn't even know the Hokage like that. Otherwise she was always so sure of everything, no matter what came or what decision had to be made. Does this fear and indecision have anything to do with this seal? If so, why did it frighten the Konoichi so much? Involuntarily he held onto his head. Definitely, and absolutely, way too many confusing thoughts. He just couldn't keep up.
> Ah, I finally want to know what's going on damn it. And I finally want to go to SAKURA. <
He was almost shouting her name to heaven. But the only answer he got was an owl call.
When the blond boy opened his eyes, the first thing he noticed was a knock on his door. Sleepy and with half-open eyes, he sauntered to the door. The moment he opened it and Sai wished him a good morning with a mock smile, he first had to yawn.
> What do you want Sai?
> Yamato sent me. He says I should tell you that the seal that was found on Sakura will be loosened in a moment. He thought you might like to know. <
The Uzumaki looked at him in disbelief. Had he heard right then? One would soon ...
Before he had even finished thinking this thought, he stormed past Sai, ran down the stairs and ran like a madman towards the hospital.
When he finally reached the hospital dressed in pajamas, he immediately spotted Tzunade, who stood there together with Shizune, Kakashi and two other ninjas and apparently made final agreements.
"'OMA TSUNADE', Naruto shouted before he even got to her. The Hokage turned around.
> Naruto. I don't have time now. I have to ... <
> Is it true what Sai said? Do you want to remove the seal from Sakura? How so? And what kind of Siegl is that anyway? And ...
First perplexed and then angry, he looked after the Hokage. Again he hadn't been told anything. Again he had been treated like a child. Just sucks.
