Chapter 1: The new school

It was just after half past six when the alarm went off. Kagome, a 17-year-old girl from Tokyo, grumbled and grabbed the monster's switch-off button. Today was the day of the days. Today she was going to a new school. New school, new teachers, new friends. At least she hoped the latter.
"Kagome, get up, you're late for school."
The interesting thing about this school was that it was in the mountains, far away from civilization. It was a boarding school. Mixed colors. Demons, hanyous, people. That was what she looked forward to the most. Maybe the demons aren't as bad as her grandfather always told her after all. Kagome got up and stood in front of her closet, undecided. She knew this school cared about the outside world. Then Kagome resolutely took a yellow summer dress that went up to just below her knees and was decorated with small flowers. She left her long black hair open and after a good shower went into the kitchen, where her family was waiting for her. Her mother already had her handkerchief in her hand and was sobbing barely audibly. She couldn't believe that her only daughter wanted to go to boarding school. But she could understand. This school trained its students in their respective talents. Each in his own way. And that was why Kagome wanted to go to this school.
"Oh mom, everything will be fine. You will see, I'll settle in there quickly. And I'll come home for the holidays."
"I know, dear."
After breakfast, Kagome hugged her grandfather and little brother Souta and headed for the car with her mother.

Less than five hours later, Kagome and her mother arrived at the boarding school. It had a large driveway with a large fountain in the middle. It was still holidays, so Kagome and her mother had enough time to visit the huge area. First they went to the director's office. His name was Inu no Taishou and the founder of this school. When asked to enter, Kagome immediately realized that the headmaster was a demon.
"Good afternoon, Taishou my name."
"Good afternoon, Higurashi. My daughter Kagome."
Inu no Taishou shook hands with Kagome and asked them both to sit down.
"So, Miss Kagome, you want to go to our school?"
"Yes it is."
"Your grades are excellent. There is nothing against it. In which area do you want to go?"
"Singing and dancing."
"Hmm, yes, very nice. Good, good. I'll register you then."
Taishou got up and held out her hand to Kagome, which she took.
"Congratulations and welcome to our school!"
Kagome laughed heartily and shook hands with Taishou.
"Class starts tomorrow at eight o'clock and ends at five o'clock.You are in the 10th with Mrs. Kagura Takagi. She will also be your dance teacher. Your singing teacher is Miss Diaz. You will live in a small house near our park together with Sango Haijima and Ayame Kagoshima. I'll show you your new home now. "
They went down the long main stairs of the boarding school and along a small pebble path to a house at number 14.

"Kagome, my dear, I'll go now."

Ms. Higurashi hugged her daughter, kissed her on the cheek, and headed for the car. When it disappeared behind the embankment, Kagome unlocked the house and carried all the luggage inside. She climbed the stairs with her suitcases and bags where a small hallway was waiting for her. There was one room on the right side of the hall and two on the left. She recognized this in the rooms facing each other, nameplates of her two roommates, Sango and Ayame. The room next to Sango was hers and Kagome already had a name tag on her door. She opened her room and was amazed. In the far right corner was a large four-poster bed with a red curtain. The walls were white and wine red, and around the wall of the bed was a border of ballerinas and musical notes. There was a bedside table and lamp next to her bed. On the opposite side was a modern wooden desk where a laptop could be found. A music system was also available. On the left wall she found a movable wardrobe and her own bathroom. Kagome put her luggage down and ran back downstairs. Once there, the kitchen and living room were in one and another bathroom. There was also a room under the stairs, but it was locked. If you went through the living room, you came into a slightly larger garden with a Hollywood swing and lots of deck chairs.
Suddenly Kagome heard the door of the house unlock. A girl with long brown hair and a sporty figure came humming into the house, took off her summer coat and took off her shoes. When she looked up, she was staring at Kagome. She came up to her and held out her hand.
"Are you Kagome?"
"Yes, I am."
"Oh, a warm welcome to our house number 14 and to the school! My name is Sango!"
"Many Thanks."
"Say, what field are you in? Martial arts? Hunting? Yoga?"
"Um, singing and dancing."
"Oh."
"And you?
"Martial arts and demon hunting."
Kagome nodded and asked Sango what was in the room under the stairs."Each house has a room that is divided into three further rooms. In the first room there is a recording studio for the singing area. In the second room there is a small exercise hall for martial arts and in the third room is the area for the yoga freaks. You can I use the recording studio best. I can use the practice hall and Ayame, who comes back tomorrow, can use the other room, but she only uses the garden. It's a bit strange when you see and experience her for the first time, but when you get to know her better you quickly realize that she is a dear person and a good friend. "

In the evening, Kagome and Sango took a walk around the campus.
Sango told her new roommate everything she needed to know. Of course also about the boys at school ...
"Yes, who is there? Oh, that's right, there we have Koga. Koga is a total womanizer; always has chicks around him. But basically he's very nice. Then we have Sesshomaru. He's our ice block. Kagome listens intently.

"Half demons."

"No. Sesshomaru is a full-blooded demon. His father separated from his mother when she slept with her personal assistant."
"So Inuyasha is ..."
"The direx remarried. Her name was Izayoi Takahashi. She was human. That's why Inuyasha is a half-demon. Izayoi died six years after Inuyasha's birth. She had a serious car accident."
"Does the director know that his son is being teased?"
"No. Sesshomaru wanted to tell her father, but Inuyasha doesn't want to."

It was half past ten when the two new friends came to their house. Both wished each other a good night and then each went to their room to prepare for tomorrow's introduction.
"What should I wear?"
After a long rummage in her closet, Kagome finally put out a floor-length, light dress with green patterns and black, open shoes with a small heel."That should work."
The girl took a shower in record time, was forced to blow dry her long, black hair and lay down in her cozy bed, where she quickly found her peace.
The next morning, Kagome woke up very early. It was just eight o'clock and the party wouldn't take place until eleven thirty. She decided to get ready, buy rolls and set the table.
"Good morning, what can I do for you?"
"Good morning. Um, I would like four normal, two poppy seeds and two basket rolls."
The baker smiled, took a bag of rolls and filled it with Kagome's wishes. After the young girl paid, she set the table at home. Sango also woke up and was very happy about the breakfast that her roommate had already prepared.

It was eleven thirty and Sango and Kagome headed for the gym where the induction ceremony was taking place. For the first time, Kagome saw the rest of the boarding school students. There were strange characters in it, she thought, but everyone was friendly with one another. Only one stood in the back and looked sadly over the crowd. A boy with black trousers, a gray shirt, silver-white hair and ... golden eyes!
"Hey Sango!"
"Yeah what's up?"
"Who is that over there on the wall?"
"Hm? Oh, this is Inuyasha!"
