Chapter 1: Seen.
It was a starry night and the moon was bright and beautiful in the sky. Ace sat with his back to a palm tree on the beach and stared out at the sea, on which the sky was reflected. "It almost looks like there are two moons," thought Ace, lost in thought. Everything was quiet until he suddenly heard a stick crack behind him. "It looks beautiful, doesn't it?" came the voice of a girl behind him. Unable to assign the voice to a face, he turned and paused. 'If that's not an angel ...' thought Ace. In front of him stood the most beautiful being he had ever seen. Her long black hair waved like silk in the shallow wind that came from the sea and her green eyes glittered in the moonlight. She had short bangs. She had a blue ribbon tied around her left upper arm, and several brightly colored bracelets were wrapped around both of her wrists, which jingled softly with every movement. She wore a yellow - black striped top and knee - length Capri pants, which emphasized her perfect figure. "May I sit down?" she asked, cocking her head questioningly. "With pleasure." He smiled at her and gestured beside him with his left hand. She smiled back and stared into his jet black eyes. "May I ask what your name is?" Ace asked after she sat next to him. She smiled. "You may. I'm Shinoah." "Shinoah .." Ace repeated the name in his mind. "And who are you?" Shinoah finally asked. "I'm Ace." he just replied and smiled sweetly at her. He couldn't say more at that moment, as he was so overwhelmed by her. 'He has a beautiful smile.' Shinoah thought, hypnotized by his smile. Ace had one hand behind him to support himself, the other was resting on his hat, which was lying on the soft sand to his right.
For a while they just sat next to each other and said nothing, then finally Shinoah broke the silence: "I'm very sorry, Ace, but I have to go now. Maybe I'll see you again." And then she was gone into the forest behind Ace. "Bye, Shinoah." Ace whispered.
