Fanfic: Shinoah.

Chapter: Alone in the rain

Shinoah had tried to contradict Ace for a long time, but he didn't even hear her. He had lifted her in his arms and now the two were in the middle of the forest. "Ace! Are you listening to me at all? You CANNOT bring me home. That won't work. Besides, I can do it on my own. You ..." But Ace covered her mouth. He looked at her urgently with his black eyes. “Can't you just be quiet?” He put her on the floor in front of him and put his hands on Shinoah's shoulder. "I won't let you walk through the forest alone in the dark with a totally broken knee. If something happened to you, I could never forgive myself. So please, just be quiet." Shinoah was so touched that she had forgotten to To breathe. 'He's worried about me!' she thought to herself and her heart pounded. 'Why do I feel so different around him? So safe, almost happy? 'Her eyes rested on his and Ace smiled gently at her. Shinoah brushed too long a strand from her face and then the two paused for a while. Their faces came closer, she could feel his warm breath on her face and their lips were only a few centimeters (is how you write it? XD) apart. Ace's hair fell on her face and tickled her lightly and the moonlight made its way through the thick branches and leaves of the trees. Now there was only an inch of space between their lips.
But suddenly Shinoah just turned around.
And then she ran away. She ran like her life depended on it and paid no attention to her leg. It hurt so much. It hurts so badly.
She couldn't explain why she was doing this. 'How so? Why am i doing this? 'she thought desperately. She wanted to stop, but she couldn't. It just didn't work.
Ace called after her, but she blocked him out. His voice, his eyes, his lips - his everything (haha his everything. Good German: 'D).

She had been walking for a while, and suddenly her foot got stuck in a root and she fell down with her face in the middle of a puddle of mud. It cracked and she screamed. But she didn't have the strength to get up, so she lay there for a while. Her knee was bothering her and her heart was pounding like crazy.
Then it started to rain. At first only a few, then more and more raindrops fell from the sky, silently until they hit the treetops and the leaves beneath them gave way. Her hair was slowly getting wet and it was getting cold. Shinoah was amazed that the treetops let in so little light and so much rain. Slowly she propped herself up. She stumbled to the creek two meters away from her, 'washed' her wound and cooled her apparently broken knee in the cool creek.
Tears ran down her face as she was already soaked. She sniffed. “Why does something like this always happen to me?” Desperate, she crouched down next to the stream. Her whole body was trembling. She looked so harmless, so fragile. Like a little deer.
The rain pelted them loudly. Shinoah sobbed silently to himself. The moon shone treacherously (actually I wanted to write something else, but the word didn't occur to me: /) down on them, through the dense treetops.
The wind was blowing and slowly it was getting cold.

Ace was confused. 'Why did she run away? Did I do something wrong? 'He just didn't understand. It was like a locked door to him.
'First I think she wants to kiss me, and then she runs away without saying a word. If she had told me why, I would surely have understood her. '
His stomach growled again, but he paid no heed.
The rain dripped down from his hair, ran into his face, over his nose, his lips to his chin, where it finally dripped down.
Now he was standing alone, in the middle of the forest, dripping wet from the rain, and didn't know what to do.
