Chapter: And the raindrops are still keep on fallin '...
The brown-haired girl sat with her arms crossed on the bed in her room and looked defiantly at her mother. "I'm not tired, I won't be able to sleep. Mom, believe me ..." The mother replied: "Come on, it's after midnight. When are you going to try to sleep?" Her daughter gave her a mischievous look, and then said: "Well, I'll try to sleep if you tell me a story beforehand!" The adult looked at her puzzled at first, but the little girl's expression was dead serious. "But make an effort ..!" Any normal adult woman would now have shown her daughter the bird and asked how old she was. However, she rolled her eyes briefly and began to tell. And she knew exactly what kind of story to tell.
Once upon a time, in a country that probably didn't even exist, there was a girl named Celine. She hated her life, nothing but everything else in the world, if she wanted to end it. But it wasn't possible for her. Yes, she did what everyone wants - to be immortal. Yes, immortality ... it was the only thing that could have made her life worse, and it was seemingly impossible, but it really had happened. But how it came about is a different story. This is much more about her brother, Larik.
The day started completely normally. As always, Celine packed her things for school, said nothing to her parents and left the house without breakfast. Believing that later, as always, she would have the only reasonable conversation of the day with her brother. Everything was the same at school. The usual shouts, the usual pranks ... she'd learned to ignore it all. But her brother, the only person who was always on her side, even though he was so small and so helpless ... he wasn't there. Otherwise she always saw in the course of the day - they were at the same school, only in different grades - but not today. She then convinced herself that they had gone on a short-term excursion or something like that.
...
Finally the bell rang at the end of school. Celine quickly got the school building behind her. The 15 year old was in a hurry to get home than ever. She had such a bad feeling that it almost made her sick. Halfway through her pocket, she fished the key out of her pocket and ran down the asphalt, keeping pace with a cyclist who was eyeing her with amazement.
Out of breath, she arrived at her house, Sophie- Scholl-Strasse number 35, and threw the door open. Her mother, in shock, dropped the package the postman had left for the neighbors. "Ce ~ Celine, little one !! Has something happened?" Instead of answering, she stormed past her witness into Larik's room. The window was open, the bed rumpled as usual, and a mess on the desk. His satchel was gone, so he must have been to school.
...
Her mother had followed her, grabbed her shoulder and repeated: “What’s going on?” The person he was talking to turned around, walked past the adult and said angrily: “If you’re only half as smart as I am, you’ll come by yourself on it. " and added quietly "How can you be so stupid ...". But instead of trying to understand, Ms. Isawa slapped Celine in the face. "How was that?" She asked rhetorically and went downstairs indignantly. The black-and-blue-haired one just sighed and rubbed her sore cheek. // It was typical of her again ... // She got up and went to her room. "At any moment Larik will come home.", She kept saying to herself and looking out the window where she could see the entrance of the house. When her mother called to eat, she ignored them.
...
Desperate, she bit her lower lip. // Come home at last! It is now 3 p.m. Please come home, you idiot! // she kept repeating. Slowly her tears came. But there was no point in crying now. Nothing was said yet. Suddenly an idea occurred to her. // sure, that's completely obvious! // Celine got her cell phone outside and dialed Larik's number. But instead of the hoped-for sign of life, she heard the doorbell ringing from the next room. "No !!" she called and let her head fall on the table.
In the evening after a long time the family sat together in the living room ... Celine and her mother looked at each other with hatred. She just hated her mother, she hated her !! How could she fail to see that something had most likely happened to her son! Celine couldn't take it any longer. She jumped up and walked out of the room with feigned calm if they thought she was going to the bathroom or something. She first looked for him in his favorite places, then she walked back to school, finally she looked all over the village - but she looked in vain.
At the same time, the phone rang at the Isawa family's home. The man of the house answered. "Yes ...?", He said, slightly annoyed, because he didn't want to hear anything from his boss or something if his son has disappeared. But instead of a perfectly normal employee, a police officer spoke up. "I'm sorry to have to tell you, but ..." The man hesitated. "... her son Larik was found dead today at 2:25 pm. The corpse is so disfigured ... but if you still want to see it ... come here." The father of the dead child, stunned, dropped the phone . He immediately informed his wife about this, and in astonishment he just hung up the phone and drove off with his wife.On the way they saw Celine wandering the streets and picked her up. Nobody said a word. Not even the bad mother, no matter how bad. Even she was calm now. Well, there was a difference. The two adults knew that Larik was dead and Celine had no idea where the journey was going ...
Sleepily, the mother asked the brown-haired: "You, may I go to bed ...? I'm too tired ..." Her daughter looked at her disappointed and urged her to go on. She would definitely sleep after that too. The person opposite sighed loudly and went on talking.
When they finally arrived, they were met by the officer,
who was already on the phone. The young Celine was slowly realizing it ... but she still didn't want it to be true. Only when she saw the corpse, the brown hair, now dyed blood red, the clothing completely torn and the body disfigured by innumerable wounds. The contrast between the color of the dried blood and the pale skin of the corpse ... a chilling sight. Celine immediately fell to her knees. Tears of sadness, anger at the person who may have done this but also, tears of the probability that she will never see him again. This is possibly what makes people able to forget all of this. They know that at some point they will die too and see the person who just died again. But with her it was impossible. She would probably never get over it.
So many feelings were mixed up in her at that moment.
Fear, sadness, envy. All of these were negative feelings, which at that moment pooled in salty tears and dropped onto the earth, only to evaporate like normal water.
...
"And how does the story end ...?", asked the brown-haired, who was already close to tears, with sympathy. "When Celine wakes up again, she is in her bed. Her mother feels guilty and wants to give her a present. She gives her a little dog. As a souvenir of him, Celine calls him Larik. Of course she didn't know his life either was for eternity, but suddenly she was sure of one- As long as she thought of Larik, he too was in a certain sense immortal. And the thought of him will never go away. "
"And that's all?" Said the girl, who was a little disappointed. "Well ... actually the story ends with a young lady going to bed!"

Well that was my OS. As I have already written, I was not so sure about her and I need your opinion. I personally find the story a bit strange ... isn't it, isn't it?
Well, I just got the word out about what's going through my head at the moment ... I'm very defiant myself at the moment and don't want to go to sleep at all ... and Celine's story has haunted me for ages anyway.I hope you enjoyed it in spite of everything and I didn't waste your time ~
