shops and businesses, restaurants, boutiques with beautiful clothes, a library and many other shops. Always careful not to draw anyone's attention to me, I walk through Suna at Matsuri's side.
Not only the many shops made this place so beautiful and inviting, but also the smell that wafted through the streets, some I could not assign, with others I knew immediately what it was.
In front of a not too conspicuous, but nevertheless chic restaurant, Matsuri finally stopped and motioned me to enter. I pushed the door, which consisted only of a curtain, aside and stepped inside. A wave of the most varied of aromas came towards me and enveloped me, I stepped into a warm-lit room with many small tables. On the walls there were lamps, which were surrounded by a red lampshade and thus spread a pleasant orange light, which was good for my eyes after the strong sunlight outside.Matsuri went to the reception desk, after five minutes a waiter appeared and asked politely: "Have you made a reservation?" Matsuri shook his head. "No, I haven't, but I'm here on behalf of Kazekage, I have a guest with me and I would like to show you Suna's most famous and popular restaurant," she flattered him. The waiter glanced at me, but I avoided eye contact, then nodded and motioned us to follow him. He led us to a table in the middle of the room. "Can't we rather have a table a little further on the edge?" I asked, trying not to make my voice sound as gentle as usual. He stopped short but then nodded again and headed for a smaller table further away from the rest of the guests. I thanked him with a nod and sat down across from Matsuri. The waiter got two cards and handed them to us, then left again. He didn't seem to feel really comfortable in my presence, even if he had tried not to show it. But as a vampire he certainly hadn't recognized me.
My gaze wandered through the restaurant again and I caught many men staring at me, their looks were almost drawn to me, they couldn't really do anything about it, but I still wished they would stop. My gaze caught on a man who was sitting on the other side of the room in the shadow of a wall, his gaze was fixed on me and never let me out of my sight, even now that I had caught him doing it. He didn't look particularly dangerous, but I still felt the urge to leave the room. I felt a bad feeling, a feeling that said to me: 'This guy is going to cause you trouble. ' Who was that? "Everything okay? ". Matsuri's voice tore me from my thoughts. Reluctantly, I let the man out of my sight, but I didn't want to worry her, so I gave him one last scrutinizing look and now turned to Matsuri again. "Sure. It's really great here." A small smile crossed my face, and she smiled again. Then she looked at her card, I did the same. There was quite a large selection here, everything sounded great, but in the end I only ordered one salad.
The waiter was just wounded again with our order after he said that it would not take long. The announcement that they were sent by the Sabakuno seemed to have worked. My attention was back on the man from the shadows, who continued to stare at me. A cold shiver ran down my spine, I was used to being stared at and he wasn't the only one staring at me, but my feeling just told me that there would be trouble. I averted my eyes and looked at Matsuri instead. "You .. can we go again?" I asked her, slightly uncertain."Why is that? It's going great, nobody recognized you!", She answered softly and smiled encouragingly at me. "Yeah, but I'm kind of uncomfortable ... I don't know". Again my gaze wandered to the other side of the room and the strange man's cold gaze was still on me, another shiver ran down my spine. When I looked at him more closely I had the feeling that I had to know who it was or what he wanted, but it didn't occur to me. He wore a long black coat and black trousers underneath, his face was covered by a black hood, only his eyes were visible and glared at me. For a brief moment our eyes met and I could see a shimmer of red in his eyes, he flinched slightly and shortly afterwards I could see a slight, barely visible smile on his features, as if he had been waiting for something that had just happened.
Did he realize I was a vampire? And if so, what would he do now? "Matsuri?" I asked again and my eyes flicked to her for a moment. She looked at me confused, she probably couldn't even make out the man from here, but my eyes could do that without any problems. "Matsuri, I want to go. Now!". My voice sounded more like an order than a request, but I knew that, but I was getting nervous. Confused, she looked at me: "Okey, if you want that, we would like to pay please," added herself a little louder so that the waiter could hear it.
My gaze flicked once more to the table at the other end of the room, but I was horrified to find that it was empty, no one was sitting there anymore. At the back of the table I looked around the small restaurant, but the stranger was nowhere to be seen. Finally a cellar came and Matsuri quickly paid for the untouched food. As soon as that was done I jumped up and pulled Matsuri to the door. I looked across the room one last time, but the stranger stayed away.
