Games World I: Charlie und Pikachu (Remake)
5 years later
A small town in the middle of nowhere. Around them a huge wall that is supposed to protect them from the dangers of the outside world. Only animals and beastmen live in this city. There is no living being there without fur, it was rightly called "Furrytown".
The wall around this city was not there for nothing, because outside the city there were many looters who roamed and plundered cities, above all the dreaded Lizard Gang.
This gang had even left a few cities in ruins.
But despite the wall, the Lizard Gang dared to aim for Furrytown as their next destination.
Soon a group of lizards could be seen in the distance, led by a charmander, an upright lizard with a burning tail and orange scales. In old age they developed into mighty dragons, but this Charmander was still far from that. She was wearing a kerchief on which a flame was depicted behind a skull, the symbol of the lizards.
The leader was called Blaze Charmander and was quite a daredevil who was always looking for trouble. His gang always stood behind him and unconditionally did whatever he asked.
Not much later they were standing in front of the city gate. Only one person stood in their way, a raichu with a scar over his right eye. You could imagine Raichus like mice with pointed ears and orange-yellow fur, as well as a long, thin tail that ended in a kind of lightning-shaped symbol.
The Raichu wore an old black leather coat and a wide cowboy hat on its head.
Blaze Mouth twisted into a wide shark grin: "What, is that all? In front of you is the dreaded Lizard Gang, 30 strong men, each one an elite fighter and ready to follow me unconditionally. And I, Blaze Charmander, lead them, one of the strongest Glumandas in the world. And what do you oppose me? A single man, a Raichu! That's probably a joke! Who are you anyway? "
"My name is Rex Thunder. There is only one person with me as everyone else has hid in their homes in fear. I am not in a high ranking of fighters, nor do I lead anyone. But I'll still get your ass to step."
Blaze's grin wavered briefly, but he was unimpressed: "Oh yes? You say someone else accompanies you? Well, I only see one here, you. And now we're going to finish you off. Come on guys, attack!"
The lizards began to move, their forked tongues hastily flicking forward again and again.
Soon the first of them fell into the dust and the others stopped.
"What theā¦"
A pikachu stood in front of the lizards, it was wearing a sweater, its hood pulled over its face. It was holding a sword with the word "Yakuzo" on it.
"Where did this fat bastard come from?" Blaze asked angrily.
The Pikachu winced at the word "fat man"."Who do you call fat here, you lousy lizard?"
Blaze grinned when he knew he'd hit a sensitive nerve: "That's what I call you. Fat fattening pig. I bet you always feed yourself full in the evenings."
Rex saw that his son was about to freak out: "No, wait Pika!"
But he didn't hear, but ran towards the leader of the Lizards with his sword raised. He angrily pushed the other lizards aside and when he finally reached Blaze, he gave him the worst spanking the Charmander had ever seen.
Defeated, the Lizards hid back to their base.
Rex looked at his son and sighed: "Pika, I told you that you have to control your emotions! The next time your impulsiveness could mean the end of you."
"Sorry Dad."
"All right."
Rex took his pocket watch and opened it.
"Ah, I have to go. They need help in Portland, the looting is rampant there. Can I count on you to take care of everything while I'm away?"
"Sure, I'll protect the city, let's protect the apple of my eye!"
"And take good care of your siblings. Charlie in particular needs a helping hand."
"Sure, I'll do it. When are you coming back, Dad?"
Rex looked into the distance of the desert. He had no idea when he would be back. The situation there was more serious than he had told Pika, but he did not want to worry him.
"I hope to be back soon, but it can also take longer. Let's say a few months."
Pika Pikachu bowed his head sadly, but his father brushed his hair encouragingly.
"Hey, cheer up champ! You drove the Lizards all by yourself today! If that's not an achievement, then I don't know either."
Rex moved away, it seemed as if he was walking directly towards the setting sun.
His revolvers gleamed in the sunlight and Pika somehow thought of a cowboy movie.
Soon after, he was home again. When you saw the city from the inside, you couldn't believe that it was in the middle of the desert.
Pikachu, most referred to him by his middle name, had two siblings, his brother Charlie, a Labrador puppy (the only one who had inherited his mother's appearance) and Sparky, a little Pichu who always wore a bow in his hair.
Both were absent at the moment, which allowed Pikachu to rest a little.
He hung his sword over his bed and sat on a chair. After dozing for a while, he felt like playing a few video games.
He turned on the old SNES console and played Super Mario World.
He and his siblings particularly enjoyed playing this game and still they hadn't discovered all the secret levels. It was as if this game was a huge level hole, with new levels dropping in again and again.
"Come on Mario, jump over the lava! Argh, fell back in!"
That annoyed him every time, Mario usually jumped too far or too short.Or not at all, it happened before.
Soon after, he put the controller down and turned off the game.
He went briefly to a special drawer where the city's most prized possession was kept: the gold notes.
These notes ensured that there was always music and sound in the city. They were very sensitive, but Rex had simply stuffed them in the drawer with the words "That is where they are least suspected."
Pikachu didn't care, but he liked to look at them and when he ran his finger over it very gently, he heard a soft sound that varied from note to note.
And even now he touched her and the sound delighted him every time.
Pikachu looked at the old clock on the wall and wondered where his siblings were. It was getting dark and neither of them wanted to stay away that long. He wasn't worried, they were smart enough (even Charlie) to know that they had no business being in the desert. So he went to bed and tried to sleep.
Little did he know what adventures awaited him.
