Ein verändertes Leben

Fabian = big trouble

A few more days have passed and not much has changed in our class and the new ones have not attracted much attention either. That means Washiza didn't attract much attention. Fabian was exactly the opposite. He was noticed in class, during recess, and he was always involved in some kind of brawl. Strictly speaking, he was a total hothead. Washiza was more to herself and was often sidelined. Now and then he held Fabian back when he wanted to interfere somewhere, which always ended in a fight for him. I haven't spoken a word to them yet, although I actually want to get to know them a little better. It was the second big break and we were standing in the snowy school yard. I bit into my lunch break and looked over at Fabian, who was playing a mix of soccer and kick-boxing with a few other boys. How can they have fun with someone like that? , I wondered. "Hey, Lyndsay!" Romy called. I followed the voice and almost fell over in shock. Romy was playing this idiotic game and she seemed to be having a lot of fun. "What are you doing there, Romy?" I asked puzzled. "I play foot boxing !!! That's awesome! Join in!", She asked me. I didn't even think about it. Such a stupid game. They knock each other out and think it's funny too. "No! I'm going to the kiosk! Do you want something too?" I asked her. "Yes! Um ... a cheese roll! Ouch! Are you crazy? That hurt! Well wait!", She shouted when Fabian kicked her shin to get the ball. I just shook my head, got my money and made my way to the kiosk. Just before I entered the school building, I noticed a person in the corner of my eye. That's Washiza, I thought. He stands there all alone. Hmm ... should I go see him? I asked myself and after a moment's thought I decided to go to him. He stood leaned against the wall and watched the others play this weird game. "Hey ..." I said carefully. He gave me a cool look. "Why are you standing here all by yourself?" I asked further. He still looked at me coolly, but then said in a calm voice: "I like to be alone." "Why don't you play football like the other boys?" I persisted. "Why should I. Besides, it's not football. They hit each other's heads." He's right, I thought. Suddenly we heard a loud scream: "Ahhh! Are you not really tight anymore? Let go of me immediately, you weirdo!" I and Washiza became attentive and looked in the direction from which the scream was coming, namely from the soccer field. When I looked in the direction I was shocked. Fabian had another boy in a headlock. They didn't seem to be doing very well. I heard a low but very distinct grumble from Washiza. Then he set out to get Fabian away from the other boy. He made it with ease and sipped Fabian behind him by the hood."You bum! Can't you even hold back?" The black-haired man began to scold. "That guy started!", Fabian defended himself. The boy who was put in a headlock by Fabian just showed him the middle finger. Fabian turned bright red and wanted to storm the boy, but Washiza held him so tight that he could no longer move. "If you storm the boy now, you have a problem with me, Fabian," he threatened in a low but very serious voice. Fabian swallowed and then decided to calm down. Oh man! , I just thought, why is Fabian just such a weirdo? I then made my way to the kiosk. When I got back to Romy, I saw her holding her leg. "What did you do?" I asked ironically. "I played a totally idiotic game," she said, and I had to smile with glee.
