The beginning

The two girls walked seemingly aimlessly across the crowded square. Nor did they seem interested in any of the colorful rides or the fragrant stalls. On closer inspection, however, it was found that none of this was actually true.
While the first girl made her way safely through the crowd, the second girl looked nowhere near as relaxed. Again and again it looked around unsafe, with a mixture of shyness and anger on its beautiful face. Was that really as good an idea as it was made believable? After all, she'd been against it from the start. Not that she was afraid, it was rather oppressive to be here. With a look ahead, she was torn from her thoughts.
In the meantime, her friend had stopped in front of a round, white and blue striped tent. She looked at it with a steady, almost piercing look. Then she turned with a solemn grin.
"That's it. I am quite sure of it. Come over!"
Just as the girl was about to slide the curtain, which was obviously used as the entrance, it was pulled back.
"Wait! I don't think it's a good idea. "
"Are you scared?"
The first girl grinned almost nastily at his companion.
"N-no! Of course not. I just wanted to say that it's dangerous. You heard what they said. "
The second girl's voice now resembled a whisper, which amused the other. You could tell that she was not completely at ease with the matter. She gently stroked the girl's shiny black hair comfortingly.
"If you are scared, just say it! After all, I don't want to force you to do anything. But, you know, I really want to go in there to see it with my own eyes! If you don't want to come along, you'd better wait out here. It will certainly not take long. "
It saw the relief of the black-haired. So it turned around again without further ado and held the curtain tight.
"But you heard them ... these stories!"
Of course it had. But that hadn't diminished the desire to discover anything. On the contrary! Now the girl really wanted to see it!
It lifted the curtain aside without hesitation and was swallowed up by the blackness inside.
