Fanfic: The Reality
Chapter: Together
Now Jessica had him here, Kanon.
It always seemed like a dream and intangible. Because not only his manner was almost aloof, but also the society that surrounded him.
Then Jessica came across the termparents. What would you say and, above all, think after your arrival?
"Ka -...", she raised her voice again, but Kanon had stopped as before.
As Jessica walked closer to the boy, she realized that he was standing in front of a bakery with huge eyes.
The twinkle in his eyes was obvious and studied every treat in the shop window.
"Shall I buy you something from here, Kanon-kun?" Jessica asked him in the middle of the pounding rain.
Kanon winced involuntarily. He had not only turned his thoughts elsewhere, he had almost forgotten the milady.
Kanon quickly ran to her side and bowed his gaze.
"Ojou-sama ... I'm just a piece of furniture, don't forget that." It was the same as always and Kanon knew perfectly well that Jessica hated the expression the servants used to talk to. The blonde couldn't quite dispel her displeasure with a puff, so they both ran on automatically.
What Kanon's eyes didn't see was how Jessica pressed her thin lips tightly together.
// Just a piece of furniture ... //
His black blood dripped to the ground like liquid lead, leaving a black trail.
Just like her, he was starting to run out of breath. In the middle of a clearing he stopped and looked up to the treetops, which let down some light.
Her smile was once just as radiant, he thought, and gave his heart the luster it had long since lost.
An ironic grin played skillfully on his lips the moment he realized that he was somehow similar to Kinzo.
His foot stepped aside to continue searching for her. But that was no longer necessary. Far up in the air, hanging on a "spear", there he was now, pale around the wound where that object pierced.
Her powers were more outstanding than expected and also made things appear that appeared out of nowhere.
"Why ?! Why did you kill her?", Her voice rang out shrilly.
His eyes were far too cloudy to capture certain facial expressions of her, but the silhouette revealed them.
"You ... get it wrong ..."
Just as powerless as he was hanging there was his voice, which faded away in a few seconds.
"Shut up! Y-you ... are a murderer!"
"Ojou-sama?"
Now it was Jessica who was startled.
"Sorry Kanon-kun."
Jessi's mind had been filled with weird things lately, which naturally distracted her. Nobody had told her about it. But ... what was it?
Jessica had already grasped the doorknob and finally opened the door, which strangely wasn't locked.
A stifling air came towards the two, which was to infer that no one had aired since Jessica's disappearance.Brisk steps made their way to the living room.
"Father? Mother?" The girl had been unbelievably afraid of getting into trouble and having to let go of Kanon. But now they were alone.
Kanon himself, meanwhile, couldn't believe his eyes.
Otherwise he only knew the villa. Jessica's house was so small and cozy that he found this to be a luxury.
Kanon wanted to behave inconspicuously, but with the things he was allowed to see, the curiosity was no longer reticent.
"How many servants do you have here, Ojou-sama?"
In the villa they were already very busy with all the work to make it look as beautiful as it is here. How many people did the blonde need then?
But if this had been Jessica's only worry, she would fare a lot better now.
Her head felt like it was going to burst any second. Gar the veins pressed against the top of her skull like freshly cast metal and made Jessica's senses increasingly blurred.
A desperate smile was reflected on Jessica's lips when she saw how Kanon had immediately jumped up to keep her from the impending fit of weakness. He talked to her and still Jessica didn't hear any sound.
Once again her heart beat violently in the silence that formed around her, then everything suddenly went dark. Darker than the dead of night ...
It rattled violently and as soon as this sound had disappeared, Jessica's eyes opened.
The ground felt fluffy soft, she was in her bed. In front of that piece of furniture was the self-proclaimed canon, armed with a cup of tea.
"Kanon ..." she muttered. Jessica felt her throat start to burn and as if by coincidence, the cup was carefully pressed into her hands at the same time.
In this brief moment, both fingers brushed each other, which could not have been colder.
Startled, Kanon drew back and looked away.
"You slept all day, my lady, and passed out." Kanon mumbled half-heartedly and didn't waste a second turning his gaze to her. It wouldn’t be wrong, but this unstoppable blockage was there.
Jessica choked on her tea, startled.
"What?!"
"Milady, you have the night-", Kanon tried again, but Jessica jumped madly out of bed and waved her arms.
"We have to go to school!" She yelled through the apartment on the way to the bathroom.
Kanon remained in Jessi's room, puzzled. The girl had probably noticed that her parents were still gone and also the fact that Kanon had already prepared everything. He had put her to bed, made breakfast and secretly also tidied up the little chaos over which Jessica ruled.
But the young man himself hadn't closed his eyes. What was it all here anyway? Kumasawa had once told him about the game of hide and seek and would he compare it to this ...Little did Kanon know that his sarcastic streak would briefly revive, but what he did know was that Jessica had said something meaningful.
"We're going to school ..." his tired voice repeated dully. At least he had to inform Genji about it and stormed to the phone in the living room.
At the villa he only had to press redial ...
So, too, did Kanon.
Involuntarily his gaze brushed a note next to the device.
[I]Me and Nat ... to ... 17.3. ... 16:00 ... Konhou ...
Some parts were smeared with ink and thus illegible, but Kanon immediately understood what this would amount to.
Jessica's parents wanted to go somewhere today, but why didn't Jessica know?
"Gay hotline 1000, how can I help you sweetheart?", It sounded at the other end of the line and completely ripped Kanon out of his thoughts. He wasn't sure what a "gay" was.
Kanon simply derived it from Genji, but why he gave himself such a strange nickname and greeted Kanon with "sweetie" ... no, that was too much strange all at once, even for the red hat.
As soon as the confused boy wanted to report, Jessica stood in front of him like freshly peeled from the egg.
"I'll call you Genji again later.", Kanon muttered into the receiver and hung up. The boy was left with nothing more, because his hand was hastily taken.
"Who was the canon? My parents?"
The black hair nodded reflexively. He didn't want Jessica to be worried.
Everything was okay and just needed to be checked, but she wouldn’t find out about his afternoon schedule.
Jessica grinned broadly and they both stepped out of the house, not knowing that today's school day wouldn't be the only new event.
Kanon firmly gripped the small piece of paper he had taken with him.
Whatever her parents were up to, it was bad. And Kanon would find out what too.
