Between Love and Hate
to move and saw the Uchiha getting closer and closer. The sleeves of his shirt hung at his waist and he was free of the upper body. But it wasn't Sasuke then she knew. She had recognized him just by his Sharingan.
Two claw-like wings were emblazoned on its back. His skin had turned a strange dark color and his hair was long and blue. It scared her to see him like that. And then he shot at her at that speed. He also made no move to stop. "Sakura!" he shouted. Blood ran out of his mouth. And yet, even though he had ordered it, she could not move. “Sakura!” He got louder. But she still didn't move. Your bad luck. If she died, it wasn't his fault. Even if that didn't exactly make him happy. He activated his chidori without much effort and without finger signals. Slowly, as if in slow motion, he drew back.
Sakura was startled. She was right. He would kill her.She closed her eyes fearfully. "Sasuke." she whispered. He ran on. She bit her lip. He ran on. Untouched. Then he was just before her. And he struck. She waited for the pain. But he didn't come. Instead, she heard a gasp behind her and felt blood on her body. She didn't dare to open her eyes and kept them closed. She just stopped. But then she felt an arm come over her right shoulder. Sasuke's arm was on her left shoulder and she couldn't do anything else but stay where she was. There was someone behind her. She heard the man's gasping breath.
“There won't be a next time.” She heard a faint tap.
There was happiness and relief in that voice. She had never heard Itachi talk like this before. And certainly not Sasuke for a long time. The man behind her lost his life and with him his balance. He fell forward and pulled her with him. Sakura stumbled slightly forward and was now in Sasuke's arms. And yet she didn't know what worried her more, that a corpse was standing behind her or that she was lying in the arms of the Uchiha. She opened her eyes and was startled again.
Sasuke was scary in that form. Naruto had once told her that this was level 2 of his time. She thought it was funny that he was so close to her and looking at her like that. So emotionless. He had just killed his brother. Itachi must have tapped his forehead, because there was a circular spot that ran down his cheek on his eye. He didn't let it show that Heachi's last words had surprised him. He looked down at her. She looked up at him. His face was spattered with blood. The red went well with his pale skin and his Sharingan.
"Sasuke .." she whispered when she found her voice again.
"Your revenge .." She could hardly believe it. He had got his revenge.
He nodded.
"Yes, Sakura." she definitely heard him say.
Then there was silence.
Only the everyday sounds of nature could be heard.
They were interrupted by an all too familiar voice.
"SASUKE!"
