Teana Prinzessin der Finsternis

How it all started ...

Prologue: How it all began ...

Atemu, Crown Prince of Egypt fell on his bed. He had been studying all day. Shimon, his teacher didn't give him anything. After all, he was about to become Pharaoh. Soon ... Tomorrow, actually, but Atemu still hadn't really realized the whole thing. Until now he was used to a quiet life. Of course, he had always been prepared for his future role, but to rule as Pharaoh was something completely different. In the last few weeks Atemu had already got a little foretaste, which he didn't want to taste at all. He had gotten off that evening and he was so happy about it! Do nothing for once ... Just sleep. Atemu could feel his body relax and he was just about to fall asleep when the door to his room was thrown open and a little brown-haired girl hopped into the room.
"Prince!" She exclaimed excitedly.
"Mana", Atemu groaned.
So much for rest! Even if Atemu was happy to see his best friend again ... At the moment he just wanted some peace and quiet and that was just not possible with Mana in the hall. Since he knew her from childhood, he knew about her chatterbox. Mana was a good-hearted person, but she could still be terribly annoying at times. Mahado, Atemu's best friend, whom he also knew from a young age, was driven mad here and there by Mana. She was his apprentice magician, but the fact that Mana did not always take it exactly with the laws - in contrast to Mahado - and constantly talked before she thought, often brought herself into ugly situations, which Mahado, as her teacher, paid for had to.
"Prince, you have to get up now! Come on!"
Mana crawled up to him on the bed and pulled him up by the arms. But Atemu didn't even think about going. As limp as a sack of potatoes, he plopped back on the pillows.
"Oh come on now!", Mana grumbled, crossed her arms over her chest and pouted!
"Mana please let me sleep! I haven't really rested in a long time!"
"Don't tell me. Your father wants to see you. I should just bring you this message."
"My father?"
In seconds, Atemu was sitting upright in his bed. Mana nodded towards him.
"Yes, you should come to him, he said. Well, I'll go again now. Mahado is waiting for me," she just grinned and then disappeared out the door.
"Oh no", Atemu grumbled and fell back only to get up a few moments later and go to his father. When he arrived in front of the door, he told the guards to announce his arrival and shortly afterwards he stepped into the apartment of his father, the Pharaoh. At least today.
"You wanted to speak to me, father?" Atemu made himself known as Pharaoh Aknumkanon was busy with a few papyrus rolls."Yes. Come here, my son and make yourself comfortable"
Atemu nodded and then sat down on one of the many seat cushions. Aknumkanon finished his work and then sat down with his son.
"Tomorrow you will be Pharaoh," he said simply.
"Mh," said Atemu.
"You are probably not looking forward to it that much"
"It's a big job," Responded Atemu.
"Mh, yes it is. Is that why you worry?"
"I don't know if I'm up to it," replied the Crown Prince honestly.
But the Pharaoh only smiled at his son's fear.
"The doubts you have are quite normal," interjected the Pharaoh.
"Really?"
"Really. You have it, I had it and my father had it and his father before"
"Oh yes?"
"Yes. You just can't show them to anyone!"
"I do not do!"
"Then you have nothing to fear"
Pharaoh took his son by the shoulders and looked into his eyes.
"My son, you are now seventeen years old and you have learned so much in all these years"
"That doesn't necessarily mean that I'll be a good pharaoh"
"Atemu, what are the most important requirements for the Pharaoh?"
"Hu, the clear speech, Wadji, the authority, Heqa, the leadership and Sia, the comprehension"
"And how do you rule?"
"By keeping the mate, that means order, law, truth, wisdom, authenticity, sincerity and justice," the Crown Prince rattled off by heart.
"And what you just told me is all that is necessary to become a good Pharaoh. Keep it in your heart and you will not fail! Besides, you also have your friends. Especially Mana and Mahado are behind you, as well also your uncle Aknuadin vizier of Egypt and me too, of course! We will be by your side if you need help! Always! "

And with that conversation in mind, the next morning, Atemu was crowned the new Pharaoh and he vowed to do his best.
