Lia was a 5 year old girl. Lia slowly approached the red-haired boy. She had watched him all day and realized that he was treated just as badly as she was. When Lia sat down next to him in the sand, she noticed that he was crying.
"Why are you crying?" She asked. The boy looked up in shock and then pointed sadly at the children playing. Lia understood. "And what's your name?" Lia asked further. "Gaara," he said, "and you?" "My name is Lia," she replied. "We don't want to play with them either.", Lia said and pointed to the laughing children in the playground. "Why not?" Asked Gaara, surprised. "I don't know!" Lia admitted. "And why don't they want to play with you?" Lia asked curiously. Gaara's expression turned sad again and he looked down. "Because I'm a monster!" He said, pointing to a symbol on his head. "Hey, I have something like that too!", Lia stated and pointed to the seal on her right arm. Gaara's face brightened when he realized that they weren't that different. "Wait here, I'll be right back!" He shouted and had already disappeared behind a few houses. Five minutes passed before he came back. He was holding a ball and smiling at Lia. "Do we want to play something together?" He asked.
But before Lia could answer, two Jonin stormed out from between the houses and shouted to each other: "We have to pull the monsters apart!" Gaara and Lia looked at each other briefly and ran away.
Lia woke up screaming. She sat sweating in her bed and looked fifteen again. Her friends Maro and Akio kneeled next to her and talked to her well. "Is it going again?" Akio asked her. "Yes, it's okay!", Lia assured them. "I just had a nightmare!" She lied. Now Maro and Akio went back to their beds and fell asleep. But Lia knew that she would not sleep peacefully that night.
