Detective Conan Destiny

Outside, Conan had already pulled out his cell phone and was dialing a specific number.

"Hello?" Answered a female voice on the other end.

"Jodie-sensei, I need to speak to you.
Haido, former office building of the Aonuma group - makeshift headquarters of the FBI in Japan
Why did he take so long? James had wanted to be back from the American embassy an hour ago. There were problems? Was the investigation in jeopardy? Jodie knew how hard her boss was struggling. The FBI was not responsible in Japan. The only reason Agent Akai was allowed to investigate in the first place was because of Sharon Vinyard. She was an American citizen and had endangered national security. It became particularly difficult when the CIA officially acknowledged its investigation. It would have been easy to pull the FBI out. Especially after losing one of their own people. But they really didn't have that, right?Akai was alive, her Shu was alive. And there he was. He was walking right in front of her with his back to her.

"Shu!", Jodie shouted energetically and picked up the pace.

Akai stopped and looked at his partner expectantly.

Jodie just couldn't understand his composure. She had listened in disbelief when James told her that Akai was fabricating his death so as not to endanger Mizunashi Rena's disguise. Why hadn't she been told? Wasn't she trusted?

"Why ... why are you pretending nothing happened? Shu!" She shouted emotionally.

She had only seen him again a few days ago, and there was hardly any room for a conversation. The FBI was forced to retrieve Bourbon's body, the person who she finally learned had twice posed as her partner. She had been fooled and knew why she hadn't been told anything. She hated herself, but James and Shu were right. She didn't know if she could have played that naivete back then in the bank when the enemy agent was sitting right next to her.

"It's our job.", Akai replied in a cool tone.

Jodie shook her head in disbelief. Was that all? Didn't he have anything more to say to her? They'd been partners for 10 years, but the FBI agent's expression showed no remorse.

"What ... what makes you different from gin? Or from bourbon? The mask was wrong, but wasn't it completely identical?" She snapped at him.

So she made an impact.

"I'm not like these people," he replied in a firm voice.

Jodie admitted she was only too happy to believe this. Was it your job? Cheating and lying to each other? Yes, he was probably right. Would she be able to do that as well when he had done? Then a completely different thought occurred to her. She had absolutely no right to complain. It was she who persuaded James to fly to Japan to arrest Sharon Vinyard there after Homeland Security filed a report that the hit man was currently working for a Japanese organization. Since she was a child, Jodie's obsession with that person had not gone away.

Again she was in the room with the window open.

Her father was lying there again, bleeding on the floor.

Again that woman with the black baseball cap and blonde hair. The woman who killed her father, the director of the FBI. That had been the main argument with which she had been able to convince James and their superiors. Shu had stood up for her and finally the undercover investigation took place, which lasted almost three years. What had she done to her partner? Shu acted out his death for her, but wasn't what she had done much worse? She had robbed him for three years, and even when vermouth came to New York to kill him, she felt guilty. And then the person who meant most to him in the world died.Akemi Miyano.

He had loved her and it wasn't until Jodie's obsession that she was killed. She saw her own guilt every time she looked her partner in the eye. Even when she faced Shiho Miyano, sherry. Without her she would still be alive today. Mizunashi Rena would still be alive. With her they had lost their only connection to the organization.

Akai continued on his way without saying anything else. Jodie left it at that too and then her cell phone rang. When she looked at the display, she was surprised. Then she answered.

"Hello?

"Jodie-sensei, I need to speak to you," said a familiar voice.

"Ah! It's you cool kid!"
Beika - Unknown villa
He loved his goldfish, very much. How long had he had it? And how long would they live? Would he watch her death or would he leave this world first?

His leg ached just as it had for the past 10 years since that accident. He needed a stick to walk properly.

Exhausted, he collapsed on the green upholstered armchair in his study.

Someone entered the room, he seemed to have forgotten to knock. It was a man in a suit, he looked very reserved.

"Morofushi-kun, please sit down," he asked the man.

He followed and sat across from the old man. He poured him a cup of tea and the namesake of the famous Japanese strategist was happy to receive it. He had only left the crime scene a few minutes ago and was amazed that he had got here so quickly.

"It's hot," warned the man with the walking stick.

However, Koumei fended off.

"I like it hot," he replied.

The man with the walking stick nodded and looked out the window.

"Bourbon is ..." he began, but Koumei finished the sentence with a nod.

"The FBI is currently in possession of his body.

The old man also took a sip.

"Then the time should now have come to move our plan into the final phase. You know what you have to do?", He wanted to know.

Koumei nodded and finished the tea in one gulp. Then he got up.

"I promise it will be done today."
Beika Block 6 - In front of Takahata's apartment
It had been impossible for Conan to wait in front of the crime scene. He stood at the end of the street and kept checking his watch. Then the time came. The silver FBI agent's car stopped in front of the apartment, just behind the police tape. Conan drew attention to himself and the agent strutted towards him.

"Hey! Cool kid!", She said piously, but Conan's expression showed a tremendous seriousness.

"Jodie-sensei! You have to find out everything you can about Takahata-san. Why he could be a possible target of the organization.", He said without greeting. Jodie's expression stiffened too.

"Is that really true? And what tells us that brandy is one of the organization's code names?"she asked.

But for the little detective that seemed certain.

"This woman is said to have only murdered business people and government employees. Strange course of action for a mere serial killer, don't you think?" He asked sharply.

Jodie finally nodded. They were clearly contract killings.

"All right, I'll take you to our command center, it is not too far from here. There we will discuss our next steps with James."

Conan didn't mind and together they strolled back to the silver car.
Shinjuku, unidentified building - 4 years ago
"FBI?" Vodka asked in disbelief.

Gin nodded slowly.

"The information is correct. One of the agents hiding in the warehouse had this on his vest."

Vodka rocked his head in confusion.

"But ... we're not in America here, right? What are you doing here then?" He asked into the room.

Gin couldn't help but grin.

"You're here for the boss's darling, of course. I told him vermouth is not good for us."

"But ... your skills are remarkable!" Objected Vodka, but his partner just shrugged his shoulders.

"Anyway. Rye has some information about us. Even if we are unable to wipe out the entire FBI, the boss says that at least we shouldn't let Akai escape for his betrayal."

Vodka understood what he meant. Rye must have been reporting to his colleagues the whole time, and the entire organization now had to change its approach. Different meeting places, different cell phones, everything. He could understand the boss that he wasn't very pleased with it.

"But ... how are we supposed to find him? And his colleagues from the FBI?"

But gin surprised him.

"He will check out of the Ryoka Hotel exactly tonight. After that, his colleagues will take him out of the country in a private plane," he told him.

Vodka, of course, immediately chopped up where this information came from. Gin had not been idle and had Rye shadowed when his promotion was imminent. He didn't just share an apartment with his current flame, Akemi Miyano, Sherry's sister. Every now and then he went to that hotel, but Gin thought nothing of it. He assumed Rye had a girlfriend or was looking for some other fun there. But now it was clear to him that it was his secret hiding place. There he apparently got in touch with his friends at the FBI. He must have feared retribution from those I betrayed.

"And ... how do we end it?" Vodka asked further.

"With me," said a voice.

Another person entered the room and dropped into a chair. He was a skinny guy, with leather clothes and sunglasses. Vodka always made fun of him for not taking it off even in rooms.

"I hope you do your best. Calvados."Gin warned him.
Shinjuku - Ryoka Hotel
Bribing a bellboy had paid off, otherwise Calvados would have had to wait all night on the roof of the building opposite. But he was focused and ready. Just like his AK-47 was. At exactly 7 p.m. Moroboshi Dai wanted to check out of the hotel. That was Rye's alias, whether he wore it inside the FBI doubted Calvados. But it didn't matter anyway, because it was 6:59 pm.

A family left the hotel. He eyed the father, but he looked nothing like Rye. Then two old men, seniors. A Japanese, a foreigner. Maybe they had celebrated or were related by marriage. There was nothing unusual about them either. Then a man who was completely wrapped in black. His face was covered by your wide hat.

"Gin, please come! I think I have rye, but I can't confirm.", He reported.

Gin told him to wait, Vodka, who was posted near the entrance, had a better
