Part 2

Enemies and friends
"Kllllllllllllllll", it suddenly sounded next to Bryan. The sudden and surprising whirring ripped the boy out of his thoughts in a flash. He looked around puzzled and first had to determine what was going on around him. He had just stepped through a narrow archway when the noise began. Only when a uniformed man stood in front of him with a device that looked more than strange did he understand. Without realizing it, he had walked through the apparatus that was set up at every airport to ensure security. It took Bryan a while to remember why he had hit him of all people. He had to carry something metal with him. He remembered that a man in uniform had spoken to him about it a few seconds ago, but he had just shaken his head. This could not be explained by the fact that he was sure not to carry a metal object with him, but simply because he had only heard his voice and not her request. This happened to Bryan a lot. When he hid himself in his world of thoughts, his surroundings moved into the background. Strangers then looked at him suspiciously and thought he was a weirdo. Friends often referred to Bryan as a dreamer. And this term fit like a fist. If the security man hadn't stepped in front of him and spoken to him, Bryan would have just kept walking. The airport clerk repeated his question as to whether Bryan was not carrying a metal or dangerous object with him. This time Bryan reacted more alert and reached into his trouser pockets. His suitcase couldn't be the trigger because it was on a kind of conveyor belt. It had been x-rayed and found to be harmless. It looked different with its owner. Bryan couldn't find anything until he remembered his neck. He had been wearing a pendant since he was a child. You might think that nobody could be so forgetful, but Bryan was not difficult to understand, just dreamy. He quickly pointed to his pendant and the security man asked him to remove the piece of jewelry. Bryan had more of a problem with that. He never took it off. Even if someone had come and threatened them with a knife and said, "Give me your pendant or you will regret it!", Bryan would not have thought of it. There were two simple reasons for this. For one thing, he was strong. Not strong, like a muscleman who spent every single hour training himself in a fitness club and drank liters of milkshakes, but different. Bryan had a strength that was hidden from normal people. He would have to
Security people can resist, but he thought it best to stay calm. He took the trailer off and took two steps back so that he was back in front of the archway. He took a big step, but this time there was no whirring. Not only Bryan was satisfied, but also the security man. He handed the trailer to Bryan, who grabbed him in a hurry. Bryan wasn't interested in the fact that the security man might seem strange. That was reason number two. It was a hinged piece of jewelry. It was one of these, inside of which there was space for two different pictures. Bryan hung the chain around his neck as quickly as possible and walked on. But the security man called him back again. Bryan growled, feeling provoked. However, when he saw that the man was holding his suitcase in his hands, he pressed his lips together and brought out a brief thank you. He hated himself for his constant daydreams, but at the same time there was nothing else for him. No stop! That wasn't entirely correct. Of course there was something else for him. This "other" was in his chain. He clipped it on and checked that it wasn't damaged. The pendant was almost circular, but when opened, both halves formed a heart. Bryan had been confronted with it enough, of course. Some boys from his old school grinned maliciously while the girls found it just romantic. It had a different meaning to Bryan. The pictures inside were - as expected - him and the picture of a girl. Both pictures weren't particularly big, and neither had the time good for their quality. But Bryan thought it was okay. If someone had said to take a new picture of himself and his girlfriend, Bryan would have just waved his hand and smiled. He has been wearing the necklace since he was 10 years old. In other words, half his life. He had just turned 18 a few days ago, which he wanted to celebrate with his girlfriend. That was one reason why he packed his bags, got on the next plane, and flew to London without stopping. But as I said, there was a reason. There were at least ten more important ones why he had interrupted his vacation. Well, one of them was of course to see his girlfriend again, which was a very good one. However, he also knew that he would not only run into her in London.

It was exactly two days ago when Carol called him. As with every phone call, Bryan immediately cut her off and told her how much he loved and missed her. It was almost a ritual for Bryan. He didn't feel embarrassed knowing that Carol felt the same way he did. She usually returned his sentences, but not this Monday. When he saw her hesitation, his heart began to race. Before he could call anything into the receiver, Carol spoke up. "I'm fine. Excellent even."

she hurried to say. That made Bryan a lot easier, but he wasn't satisfied. Something was in the bush. "What happened?" He asked now. Carol hesitated again."How soon can you come to me?" She asked. Bryan replied that he could be with her in two days. His flight ticket was originally registered for next week, but he was able to have it rebooked. However, there had to be a reason for Carol's sudden request. "It has nothing to do with us," she said slowly. Someone who overheard the conversation would have understood what was meant by that. Bryan is different. He had been waiting for a call like this for some time. However, that he came from Carol surprised and horrified him. He had expected to hear an unfamiliar voice, but now Carol seemed to take over that part. "He contacted you?" Bryan asked uncertainly. Carol was slowly confirming it. Bryan growled. "And I thought he'd already died." Carol quickly admonished him not to say such a thing. "He gave us our strength and our lives!" She persuaded Bryan to be stubborn. He knew that all too well. "He was with you?" Asked Bryan with a stutter. "No," replied Carol. "That means .... Not personally. It was a girl. She was as old as me. Maybe a bit older, at least ..."

"Was she one of us?" Bryan interrupted her. "Yes ..." Carol replied weakly. "What did she say exactly?" Bryan asked further. Carol had to think twice to reproduce everything exactly as her visitor had said it. "The time of the meeting has come. All 6 of us would soon meet in one place. I should bring you here, she and ... HE want to speak to you.", She said. "Hmm.", Bryan only remembered at the moment. Then he took a deep breath and continued. "He definitely wants us to use our abilities and fight. He's definitely got an opponent he can't deal with personally, that's why he wants us. If this girl shows up again, tell her that I'm on my way. And that she's not you No matter what opponent is waiting for me, I will not let you get injured or even killed. ", Bryan said so firmly that Carol was speechless for a moment. "Come on as soon as you can.", She had said before hanging up. Normally she would have thrown "I love you" or "Take care of yourself" at him, but this time she forgot. Bryan couldn't say it either. He thundered the phone down and marched excitedly into his room. It was three years since he last talked to "him". He had said then. "A lot has happened that I can't explain to you. But now, my children go. Lead your own life, I don't want to stop you." Bryan thought he would never see "him" again, but now the opposite happened. "He" would be waiting for him in London. He had called Bryan and Carol over.

Bryan took a deep breath when the sliding door closed behind him and he stepped outside. He had left the airport terminal behind and was now back in his old home.Until three years ago he had lived in London. Together with Carol. Then his family had to move, which Bryan had fought against. But he had to follow. He and Carol called, chatted, and emailed each other as often as possible. Bryan couldn't claim that he was particularly rich, but still he visited the love of his life regularly. The boy waved a taxi, some of which were parked at the airport exit. He threw his suitcase on the back seat before getting in himself. He gave the driver Carol's address and the taxi started.

"Ok, you had the milkshake and you had the cola!" Stuttered Jas as he put the glasses off the tray. One even wobbled, which could be an indictment for Jas if he made any mistakes. To his surprise, everything seemed to be going well. The guests thanked her, paid, and even gave a tip. Ten euros. If the drinks hadn't already cost 9 euros 20, Jas would have even given them a thank you. As it was, he just nodded to them and took the next order. "I'll never get rich that way.", He groaned and wanted to continue working. When the door to the cafe opened, however, he interrupted it again immediately and put a short break. "Hey, buddy, are you interested in a top waiter job?" Jas asked with a fake smile. "Did you already think about it on your first day?" Asked Kevin, surprised. "What about the 'That's an easy job where you don't have to think a lot and get paid well'?" Jas rolled her eyes. "I didn't know then that people were always chatting to me about something." Jas protested, half seriously. Then he saw uncertainty in Kevin's face. "Ok, what did you do?" Jas asked grabbed his friend's shoulders and pulled him out of earshot of the guests. "Well, if it's because of Emma's birthday, it's only in July, so don't worry." Jas tried to calm Kevin down quickly. However, the look on his face only stiffened you. "Did you forget your anniversary?" Asked Jas, but then remembered that his two friends hadn't been together for a whole year. "Uh, Valentine's Day? International
