When Akemi woke up the next morning she could still feel the horror of the nightmare in her limbs. She got such nightmares almost regularly after her parents' car accident. Aoi always told her to see a doctor. Akemi had to smile. With Aoi, the doctor was the solution for everything. For example, when Hiromi was lovesick once, she wanted to send her to the doctor, too, whereupon Hiromi yelled at her and told her to put her stupid doctor somewhere else.
After Akemi had washed and made her bed, she had a quick breakfast and grabbed her school bag and jacket, which belonged to the school uniform. She quickly took another look at her alarm clock that was on her bedside table and then left the apartment. As soon as it was locked, someone yelled behind her: "Why doesn't the damn key go in! I'm in a hurry!" With a smile, Akemi greeted Aoi who scolded her door, only to find out that she had the wrong key in her hand. When that was finally resolved, the two sprinted out of the house and ran down the usual way to school. Akemi and Aoi both lived in the same apartment house, which was why they went to school together. Otherwise Akemi would probably never go to school with Aoi, as she was almost always late and so they ran (like every morning) in a panic towards school.
When they finally arrived Hiromi and Reika were already waiting near the main entrance. Masses of students streamed through the gate, so Hiromi and Reika were forced to stand five meters from the school wall. After they had all greeted each other and Aoi and Reika had already started the first argument, they entered the school premises. The school consisted of three large buildings, two of which had three floors each. The building right at the main entrance was the main building in which all the classrooms, specialist cabinets and locker rooms were. The second building had no floors and was divided into two large and four smaller sports halls + at least twelve cabins for changing. The third building was only accessible to very special students. Schools that were compatible with a certain system.
The Magiccolour system (also called MC system)! Boys who were compatible with this system are called magicians and girls are called magicians. Aoi, Akemi, Hiromi and Reika were all four compatible with the MC system and therefore went to this building every Tuesday for training. But now they had to go to class first, after all they wrote the big math test today. When they finally got to the classroom, Akemi immediately went to her seat in the back row and made sure to unpack as inconspicuously as possible. Most of the people from her class were already sitting in groups at their usual places and, as usual, it did not take long until Hiromi, Aoi and Reika took their seats next to Akemi's table."Take a look at Naomi!", Aoi already blasphemed. "Yes, she looks slutty with this new crop top!", Reika added her mustard. "You're just jealous because you couldn't afford the top when we were in town the other day!" Hiromi countered calmly. "Are you now on their side?", Reika said to herself in a rage. This resulted in the usual argument: Aoi and Reika were outraged by Hiromi's behavior and Hiromi just rolled her eyes and pretended not to care.
The maths work wasn't as difficult as expected, but nevertheless Ake-mi caught Reika more than once turning around and trying to learn from Akemi or Hiromi. With Aoi it wouldn't have been worth it anyway, because Aoi is unfortunately just stupid when it comes to math. On the other hand, she is a real ace in history and English, which she unfortunately repeatedly messes up with verbal errors.
Well, in any case, it was that time again in the geo-hour. Time stood still! A voice announced itself through the loudspeaker: "TO ALL MAGICIANS: IT'S THAT AGAIN, PLEASE ARRIVE IN THE THIRD SCHOOL BUILDING! THE TRAINING BEGINS!" Then everything was quiet again. The others and even the teacher were all petrified while Akemi, Aoi, Reika and Hiromi left their things and went towards the third building. Aoi couldn't help but see the petrified Naomi with her lipstick putting a smiley face on Naomi's forehead. "Come on!" Akemi called after her.
After they stood in front of the gate of the building all four put their hands on the large metal gate. "Team4 has arrived!" They all shouted at the same time and the large gate opened. They now entered the huge, white marble-lined entrance hall and went straight to the door that was on their right. Behind this door was a room that was fully equipped with modern technology and had several glass showcases. Now another voice answered from the loudspeakers that were attached to the ceiling. "The downloads are complete, please pick up your MC systems and go to the corresponding glass showcase!"
Now a small drawer opened from a metal desk and presented four different metal bracelets. That was the MC systems. Aoi who was the magician of the plants took the dark green shiny bracelet, which had red leaves as a pattern. Hiromi's bracelet was dark blue with light blue wave patterns on it, as she was the magician of the sea. Reika's bracelet was orange with brown animal designs. Unlike all other MC systems around the world, Akemis was white and had intertwined gold and silver patterns. After everyone had picked up their MC system, everyone went into the labeled capsules. Aoi said Fiona, Hiromi Elira's, Reika Fauna and Akemi Silver's.These were their code names as no one except their teammates were allowed to find out their true identity. "Ready?" Asked Aoi. "Ready!", Confirmed the others and all put on the programs at the same time.
Now each of them turned in a shimmering shower of sparks and assumed a completely different shape. Akemi's long blonde hair turned white (which also got her codenamed Silver) and her ears sharpened, her blue eyes slit, and the intertwined pattern of her MC system spread all over her body. She also wore other things now, namely a light turquoise short dress that ran together behind her back and white leggings. The MC system had meanwhile turned into a bracer with a black display that regulated Akemi's magical power. It was only there for that, because there were many more people with magic than you might think. Unfortunately, very few of them are compatible with the MC system. For those who are not, it is forbidden to use magic because it would end in certain death for them, because they could not control the magic, so most of them are not even told about their magic power.
"Oh man! How I hate that elevator!", Reika's angry voice called Akemi out of her mind. Reika wore a crop top, which was orange just like the skirt that went with it. The only thing she didn't like about the transformation was that her hair didn't even reach over her shoulder anymore. Hi-romi's and Aoi's hair hadn't changed at all, although Aoi's side braid looked very strange, but it went perfectly with the short, dark green dress. Hiromi, on the other hand, wore a longer dress with long sleeves and a light blue fabric belt at the waist. "Are you ready Team 4?" Asked the voice from the loudspeaker again. "READY!", All four shouted in unison and they dissolved in the glass showcases!
When Akemi opened her eyes again, she found herself in the middle of a large arena made entirely of metal. "What training session do we have today?" Asked Aoi. "I would like to try the 8!", Suggested Akemi and folded her hands in a silent "please" because she was the only one who was able to cope with training unit 7 at all. "Oh man! How did we deserve that?", Reika grumbled, who couldn't cope with training unit 6. "Try is better than study!" Said Hiromi Akemi. "Then that would be settled! Training unit 8, please!", Aoi called into the hall and waited until a voice said: "Ready! Training unit 8! Start!"
Immediately red flares shot from every corner of the hall. All four skillfully evaded them, even if Hiromi and Aoi only narrowly escaped them, as they were not as fast as Reika and Akemi. "Formation 4!" Akemi shouted. Everyone ran as fast and carefully as possible to the middle of the hall, now they stood up back to back and closed their eyes, they relied entirely on their ears and thus determined the direction of the light balls."I'll start-ne! Cover your ears!" Reika shouted. Aoi, Hiromi and Akemi immediately covered their ears and Reika stretched their hands in the direction of a couple of approaching balls of light and shouted: "Sound waves of the bat!" Then their MC system entered: "Ready my Master!" of himself and directed the necessary magic into Reika's hands. When Akemi opened her eyes, she saw how the balls of light faded and their sources gradually exploded. "I can't do all of them alone!" Shouted Reika and ended her attack. Her magic was exhausted for the time being and her MC system glowed red, which meant that her magician servants had to build up again first, which could take about two minutes.
So Hiromi continued: "Wave of the oceans!" She shouted and jumped into the air. As with Reika, her MC system said: “Ready my Master!” Then Hiromi stretched out her arms and a huge wave formed, which sent her to the opposite corner of the hall. Other spheres of light and sources were destroyed, but the disadvantage of this technology quickly became apparent. Hiromi used up so much strength that she couldn't pay attention to the balls of light. Aoi started to help and shouted: "Looping tendrils!" Then her MC system confirmed the action and huge tendrils grew and shot at Hiromi to protect her. "No! Stop Aoi, it's too late!"; Akemi shouted, avoiding several flares at the same time. The vines did not reach Hiromi in time, because Hiromi was already hit and dissolved. She would now be sent back to the glass case and there would have to wait for the others.
"Damn it!" Shouted Aoi, forgetting her cover. Reika quickly rushed between her and another flare. Hit, she also disappeared.
