Die Bergwölfe

The stranger

The sun was just rising on the horizon. It was a cool, but also a beautiful morning.
While the pack was just waking up, I was standing in front of the cave and waiting for us to leave. Slowly my troop got on their feet and four big wolves came to me. We went out like every morning to get food for everyone. I sat on the white wolf while the other wolves were already climbing down the mountain on which our cave was located. It was well hidden and only tall, graceful creatures made it up to our cave. Unfortunately the cave was rather easy to reach for creatures with wings, but we haven't had any problems with creatures like that for a long time.
Lucie, our white she-wolf, also started the descent, I would have come down that way too, but it was a lot faster that way. Four legs were better than two. The others were already waiting for us downstairs. There were two brown and one black wolf. We started looking for a good snack for our pack, which is not always easy with a pack of 36 animals. But that has never been a problem until now and it shouldn't be. While I was climbing a tree to get an overview, the four waited under the tree. I had discovered something, it was a kind of deer, only bigger. These animals were not easy to kill, but so far it has always worked quite well as well as this time.
We brought the loot back and I took a tour of our area.
I was walking along the border of our territory at a speed I could easily keep up with my wolves when the smell of blood rose to my nose. The smell was faint but it came clearly from the north. I thought about getting reinforcements, but went on my own anyway. Luna noticed it anyway when I walk too far away. Luna was my sister, but she didn't take human form like me, she was still a wolf. But she always notices when I stray too far from the pack. I followed the smell for about 1 kilometer, then I came to a clearing, on this stand a village. But it has been uninhabited for a long time and nature has already recaptured the area. But there was a strong smell of blood here. I followed the smell into one of the crumbling shack. In a corner, hidden in the dark, sat a man, he had a cut that ran all over his right arm. He didn't seem to be conscious. At first I was undecided because he was a wolf demon. We mountain wolves were related to them but had little to do with them. But it didn't really matter, he was a wolf and wolves help each other. The others won't be thrilled, but I'm the pack leader and I decide I'll help him. I went to him and picked him up, I dragged him out of the hut.I was right about Luna, because two brown wolves were approaching the clearing.
They weren't thrilled when they realized he was coming with us, but they didn't stand up. Unlike my sister. We approached the cave and a sand-colored wolf came running. He growled when he saw the wolf demon on Ricos back. I calmed her down and tried to explain to my sister, but she still disagreed with me. "Bring him back !! He's not one of us. Those wolf demons only bring trouble!" she gave me the expected lecture. I smiled and just said, "Wolf is wolf, besides, I'm the pack leader and I decide who I help and who not. Sure Luna!" She just snorted and turned around and disappeared into the forest.
Meanwhile the pack had come out of the cave curiously and suspiciously examined the wolf demon, who was still lying unconscious on Rico's back.
At the foot of the mountain there was a small cave where I brought him in and first treated his wound. It was big, but thank God it wasn't deep. It will heal quickly.
I took a closer look at it. He was of normal build and had short black hair. He wore armor and fur on his arms and legs, but that was normal for wolf demons.
