Fanfic: Auf bestimmte Zeit, verstanden Rothaar?
Chapter: prolog
It was a calm day, in the middle of the North Blue, embellished by the big yellow sun, which gave this day a pleasant warmth. The sea stayed calm today, exercised a real restraint. Only one thing was noticed on closer inspection, the small, rather poorly tinkered raft, which was surrounded by water. There was no island to be seen far and wide. And you were lying on this raft - for four days.
You wanted to start a new life because your home island was invaded by pirates. You secretly stole away and really made it. You survived the pirate attack, only one problem was ahead of you. You were somewhere on the Northblue, just wanted to go to the next best island and take a little temporary job to make ends meet for your fresh start. But where was the next island? As far as your gaze allowed it, you could only see the brilliant blue water that gathered to form this gigantic blue. Unfortunately, you didn't see a small green spot, but to be honest, as long as you still had some provisions that you had poorly collected on the way to the beach when your home was attacked, you didn't care at all. In the next few hours or days, an island would be in sight.
Slowly you got up and squinted out of small slits, the sun was high in the sky and blinded you because you had just said goodbye to the dreamland. You didn't care that many dangerous things could have happened to you in the last few hours in which you fell into sweet dreams. You wasted no thought on the fact that a sea king, even if they were rare in this area, a storm, your immersion in the cool water or other accidents, you wasted no thought. Apart from the fact that both the Grandline and the four Blues were littered with islands surrounded by an indescribable amount of water, the worst thing for you would have been to fall off your raft. After all, you couldn't swim, which was really a problem given the amount of water around you. But the strangest part was that you hadn't tasted a devil fruit, no, you just couldn't swim. You were never taught. To let such, in your eyes, unimportant things stop you was out of the question. Why also? When it came to things like that, you were literally bubbling over with exuberant optimism and an almost pathological serenity. You had often got yourself into trouble with this, but luckily your keen mind had always found a solution to jump off the knife edge again. But that you repeatedly put your luck to the test was an act between madness and joie de vivre, but you have always succeeded so far, which is why you showed a slight pinch of cockiness in some situations. But why shouldn't you have fun in your life either?
In the meantime the minutes and hours passed more and more slowly and what time it was approximately you could only tell from the sun. Well, at least you could distinguish between day and night, otherwise guessing the time based on the sun turned out to be extremely complicated. A terrifying growl made you look up hastily and cast your gaze dreamily towards the horizon, which took on a soft orange color, but suddenly the deep growl sounded again. You looked around perplexed so that you could find the source of this annoying noise that frankly scared you a little. That noise echoed in your ear a third time until you realized that it was your poorly filled stomach. All of a sudden, at your own planned streak, you started to laugh. However, you fell silent when your feeling of hunger put an abrupt end to your laughter, because it was not in the mood for jokes, but wanted to be satisfied. The only thing left in the way of provisions was an apple and a piece of bread. Damn it! You had to reach an island in the course of the next day, otherwise it would be tight.
