Chapter: Mirror of my soul

She had walked for a long time, wandering aimlessly through the streets of the city. Had fought through the crowds without looking back. She didn't want to see if they followed her, she didn't care. This time she couldn't. Didn't want to anymore.
Panting, she stopped and looked at the dark sky as the first drops fell to the ground. The noises of the city center could only be heard faintly, only the soft rustling of the leaves in the wind, and the increasingly frequent raindrops could be heard. She remained motionless for a few seconds, her gaze fixed on the sky, then she put her shoulder bag on the floor and her cardigan over it. The cool wind and the cold wet didn't bother them. Finally, she pulls her glasses off her face so that her tears could unite with those of heaven.
In a way, the picture looked peaceful. But the moment of peaceful calm did not last long. “Why did you run away?” She could hear her mother's voice and her father's puffing behind her, but she didn't move. “I asked you something!” With a firm grip, her mother's hand clasped her slender wrist and turned her around.
Her daughter's eyes looked back worryingly empty, even if tears were still running down her cheeks. “How long have you had that?” The mother stared at the girl's arm in disbelief. She felt the four straight wounds under her fingers. "Why did you do that? Why did you cut yourself? Tell me!"
The girl put a smile on her face that didn't reach her eyes, which was nothing more than a bad mask.
“You're two weeks old. I'll never forget it, your biggest argument.” The bitter words didn't seem to match the smile that still graced the face. "Why? Tell me why!" The voice sounded aggressive, even if only a hint of it could be felt.
"These cuts are the mirror of my soul. Wounds that heal slowly, but never completely disappear. Nevertheless, scars will remain. As long as they still heal, anyone can tear them open again in the wrong places and make them bleed. You don't need new ones, the old ones will hurt that way too. But when they have become scars, they only hurt in memory, but no one can tear them open again. They remain a memento of that time. "
Her vacant gaze had given way to a melancholy one that was still fixed on the angry faces of her parents. "Why do you give such a shit? You're sick! It's all your father's fault!" Angry, she let go of her arm and turned to the father. "My fault? You have forgiven it! You are an idiot! Tell your mother about it!" The man looks at the girl promptly. “No, don't listen to him. I'm right! It's true!” Still smiling, she shakes her head.
"I endured your every argument, no matter how it hurt.Accepted that you threatened father to kick her out, but you can't make me choose between you. "
The girl turns around. “So that the wounds can heal, they must not be opened again and again.” Gingerly she picks up her jacket and bag and leaves.
"I wonder when they will heal."

Hello everybody.
I'm putting myself on thin ice with what has been written, right?
Mh, to explain: After most of the episodes of the anime 'Itazura na kiss' I had this spontaneous inspiration for the shortfic.
Hope no one is mad at me.
