Truth or dare? [MMFF]
St. Valentine
"I already told you! We can't go on like this. Either ... we change something together or ... we stop ... fooling ourselves." I answer quite loudly into the cell phone. My friend Kiba is calling me again. It's about us again. It's been going on for weeks. I'm sick of it! I have often said that we have to change something together. It just doesn't work alone. There are always two people in a relationship.
Our problem is that I'm being sent to boarding school - and I'm on my way there right now. Of course it's not a pretty thing. It's hard for both of us, after all, I'll probably have to go there for more than a year.
I am difficult to learn, as my mother uses to say. We fight every day. The door is slammed every day. Every day is forgiven in the end.
It has happened far too often. She is of the opinion that she can no longer slowly and that is why she is sending me to Dublin. Out of London. Away from her, from Papa and from Noah, my brother. She says I have changed for the worse. She asks where the old me went. What would be wrong with me. And inside, my answer is always:I don't know, mom. You tell me. You have to know.
Sighing, I look out the window. "How much longer do we have to drive?", I ask the chauffeur, slightly annoyed, who only says "Mh". Rolling my eyes, I comment: βIs the gentleman too good to answer?β Then I turn completely to the window, as if it were more exciting to watch the landscape rushing by.
St. Valentine, the boarding school that educates difficult and astray youngsters and brings them to success.
Honestly, they can do me. I'm sure everyone will be brainwashed there. It is probably some abandoned shithole where an ancient count once spent his last years bogging down.
After another eternity, we drive into a narrow driveway, which is more like a secret path and looks as if you don't drive it very often. That is probably why it is not paved.
And then a gigantic castle appears in front of us, but what makes me flinch is the barbed wire wall around it. "Sure we're right?" I ask, a little confused, and look in the rearview mirror.
"Yes, Madame. We are correct. St. Valentine's boarding school." Shortly after he says that, we drive through the open gates to the front of the entrance.
He gets out and opens the door for me until I get out myself and look at the front yard, slightly irritated. When I turn around again, a tall man suddenly stands at the entrance and smiles coolly at me.
"Welcome to St. Valentine's boarding school. Are you one of the volunteer students or are you invited?" He asks politely and with a cold undertone.
I slowly go up the stairs and towards him. When he asks me that, I look for my letter in my purse. "Loaded." With this answer I also hand him the white envelope that contains the invitation. He opens it and fishes out the sheet, unfolds it and scans it. "Well, I'm the headmaster Madara Uchiha. We are expecting another student and I guess ... she'll be here in a few seconds."
When he says that, I look over my shoulder and see another black car pass through the gates. There is a stop in front of the stairs, right next to the one I drove with. A blonde girl gets out and hurries up the stairs.
"I'm sorry! But I couldn't find the letter and yes ... I won't be late next time, I promise.", She gasps as if she had run a marathon in the best time. Then she notices me and smiles openly at me.
I return her smile slightly, finally the Direx asks us to follow him and we get into a large, bright entrance hall. I didn't expect it to be so beautiful here. After discovering the wall, I had a somewhat gloomy and malicious impression of the school.
It sounds very strange, but I had the feeling that something was wrong here and that I knew the place from somewhere. But I was sure I told myself that. Our entrance hall was the same color and built similarly. I probably just wanted to conjure up my home here.
"These are the other newcomers." I suddenly hear as we are walking through a door that leads directly from the entrance hall into the assembly and canteen hall.
There are five other teenagers in the room itself - two boys, three girls - and they are all very different types. At least at first sight. But one thing strikes me in particular, because his whole body is apparently covered by tattoos.
I only nod briefly in greeting - and get an equally brief nod in return.
"Now that everyone is here: once again welcome to St. Valentine's boarding school. I am now taking the liberty of saying goodbye, after all, you are also allowed to name all teachers. You will probably have problems with the division of the school at the beginning. Therefore you will get a so-called 'mentor' for the next two weeks. A teacher will answer questions, show you the way to the classrooms, sleeping quarters and the various halls and solve many of your other problems. I will now name the assigned mentor to you all.
Dominique Sanducci, Deidara
Giovanni Ribisi, Hidan
Josephine Taylor Ibrahim-Holmes, Konan
Chris Jackson, Anko
Nikolette Melina Le Roy, Sasori
Lillien Chevalier, Kakashi
Alice Alina Chernavin, with me "
He turns to a girl with black hair - I guess it's that Alice. The teachers around us occasionally go to their students. A red-haired, handsome young man comes to me. He extends a hand to me, which I politely take to shake it briefly.
"Sasori Akasuna.", He introduces himself briefly and coolly. He seems very distant and serious.
I guess that could be very interesting, because I'm rather loud and ... well, admittedly I'm a little mean. But that's not my fault. My big brother Noah is just like that and it just rubbed off on me.So all of a sudden. I am completely free from guilt!
"Nikolette Le Roy. But please just call me Nikki."
I'm trying to sound just as cool as him. But somehow it seems a little ridiculous - but it's also understandable, since it's just an attempt.
"I would suggest that I show you the rooms and then you can finally clear your room."
With these words, Sasori starts running, I trot after him. I have no other choice either.
We walk through endless corridors, the floor is made of white marble, which looks very noble, and the walls are painted a fresh apricot. The atmosphere is lively and relaxed. I even get in a pretty good mood and forget about my relationship problem with Kiba - what a miracle!
My mentor is still going on until we get to the end. "That is the stairs in the left wing. On the first floor you will find classrooms for the lower and middle grades. One floor above are the rooms for the upper grades and the final grades. 8th and 9th grades make up the lower grades, the 10th grade the intermediate level, 11th and 12th grade are the upper level and the 13th is logically the final grade. "
He turns to me and looks at me.
"The rooms for the science subjects are in the basement. The left wing is important for you, as the lower and middle grades are mostly in the western building. Of course, you can also use the main staircase. It is behind the cafeteria, where we were earlier . "
Then we go up the stairs to the third floor.
Sasori points to a couple of doors. "This is the sleeping area. Everyone has their own room, but you won't stay there very often." While he continues, we walk a little further until we stop in front of a door. A brass plate with the number '333' is engraved on it.
"This is your room. Here is your key. Put your things away first. I'll bring you a map of the school building, your schedule and the house rules. Then I'll show you where my office is and where the secretariat is." Sasori looks at his watch.
βI'll be back in an hour.β Then he leaves me and goes back to the stairs.
I then unlock my room and pull my suitcase behind me. My gaze wanders around the room. It's big, but utterly bleak. The walls are white, as is the furniture. From the small anteroom I go to the right room. I continue to examine it carefully. Lots of light comes in through the large window. At least one ray of hope - what a play on words.
"It's like heaven here," I say to myself with a slightly sarcastic undertone.
Finally I go back to the anteroom where my suitcase is still and open the door on the right. It's the bathroom because there is a shower in the corner and a sink is right in front of me. The toilet is in the back on the left. But what makes the bathroom special is the mirror that extends over the wall. So the small wet room looks much bigger. But here, too, it is kept in a simple white.I close the bathroom door again and drag my suitcase to the closet, which is on the right side of the room, on the left is the bed. It is an estimated four feet wide and six feet long. Lots of space to sleep.
I put my suitcase on it and put my things away.
I wonder how the other students are and why they are here. I would be particularly interested in the latter.
I've already clarified why I'm here. But I think it's total bullshit. This boarding school doesn't do it at all. This is a complete waste of time.
After half an hour I have unpacked everything and look around with satisfaction. Now it doesn't look so empty anymore and has gained a bit of expression. I have important photos on the bedside table, a few pens, brushes, paints and sheets of paper on the desk.
Then I leave my room to take a look around - completely forgetting that Sasori wanted to come back.
As I lock my room, a blonde-haired girl comes towards me. She's pretty, no question about it, but you can see her arrogance in the way she walks. She looks at me briefly, then moves on with graceful movements and unlocks two doors away from me.
One thing is already clear: I already hate this snipe. I just can't stand bitch. They are so annoying with their stupid behavior.
So I look around a little pissed off. Somehow I don't like school. The rooms - apart from the rooms - are absolutely beautiful and friendly, but I can't
