Chapter 2 - Seduced into sin with spirit and mind….
My steps slowed and I crept through the damp grass, free of any telltale noises. I heard the loud pouring and splashing of water, as if I were standing right next to the running water, what a soothing sound game was only accompanied by the tugging from the tall grass. Tree sap, green leaves and moss. Moist earth and, centuries-old, old tree bark. The scent of the forest tickled my wet.
I put my head back slightly and closed my eyes to inhale the relaxed smell with relish before my eyelids opened again in amazement. I turned around in surprise when suddenly I heard a familiar presence near me. My gaze wandered up to the huge water cascades, which fell impressively into the deep valley of rock, into this restless, large lake, hidden in the middle of the many trees of this forest. I struggled effortlessly through the wild bushes of overgrown ranks and branches, could make out a familiar figure in the immediate vicinity of the place where the gigantic waterfall flowed.
I ran the last few meters until I came to a stop behind the tall person's strong back.
"Father."
"Daughter, did you find what you were looking for?" Said his rough voice, but he didn't turn to me.
For a barely noticeable moment a picture appeared before my eyes - my beloved old music box in the boy's guarding hands. The sight of this mental memory made me restless and tingling, warm tingling twitched through every single fiber of my fingers ...
I should be damned if he couldn't feel this desire coming from the darkest depths. My body was in the process of betraying my most well-protected innermost being.
"Not yet.", I answer and while sharp fingernails dig into the skin of the palm of my hand, I slowly stepped around him.
He wore a black cloak around his shoulders, nothing unusual about himself, but at his feet I discovered a strange body lying in the wet grass. At first sight this was nothing new to me, so I nudged the limp and lifeless body with my foot to see who this time had run into my father's hands and into his doom.
'But that's ...!'
I could literally feel my father's eyelids narrow and look down at me, punishing me with resentment.
"Is something wrong, daughter?"
I unconsciously shook my head and his eyes, dipped in the color of the blood, looked at me questioningly, just like mine, while I also tightened my grip on the small, silver and cross symbolic pendant in my right hand for a brief moment."Apparently you needed him more than your brother did."
A sigh from the mouth of the older man on my right side made me sit up and take notice.
"Who was this man? His smell still sticks to you and it is similar to that of the poor girl.", My father asked calmly, but this did not subside my anxiety when a diabolical smile appeared on his lips.
"And I find out he's ... still alive."
'What…? Tsukune ... here ...? '
Startled, I realized my father's words ... along with that seductively sweet smelling fragrance.
I already heard a rustling, something moving through the tall grass. I was unable to come up with a single sensible thought, too many unknown impressions poured in on me. Only my instinct, the desire to protect something important or even precious, guided my actions.
'No, that can't happen! '
The gentle wind brushed my face as I sprinted past my father, trying to beat him. But what should I do? For a long time my strength wasn't enough to be able to bring anything towards him. Only with my agility was I able to outdo him, yet not able to stop him.
My gaze fell on the small point in the dark, which I was getting closer and closer to. And a brief moment later, so quickly that time didn’t know, I recognized his face. Tsukune!
Paralyzed by a jumble of emotions of sheer horror, horror and fear, he just stood there, unable to move, to understand, while my father and I rushed towards him. My hands reached him and fingers closed around his left upper arm, whereupon I pulled Tsukune to the side and positioned myself protectively in front of him.
"Devil Woman ?!"
"Is that the thank you for trying to save your life for inexplicable reasons?"
A surprised gasp stole from the dark-haired boy's mouth when I suddenly felt a strong draft on our right and instinctively dragged him further to the left. I took another step to the left, away from the large, bare fir tree that stood a few meters in front of me. I saw my father snap out from behind the massive trunk of the fir tree, heard the rustling of the individual branches.
A movement at such a speed that the human eye could not see it. So I noticed how Tsukune gasped sharply and his breathing suddenly quickened uncontrollably after I was able to push him another piece to the side just in time. Even if I had only narrowly escaped the dangerous hand of the older man, I heard the sweet scent of Tsukune's blood and could see from the corner of my eye how he covered the injury on his right shoulder with one hand.
'Father will kill him! '
I let out a sharp and audible growl as I looked into my father's face and the triumphant expression on it.
"You seem at a loss, daughter."For a split second, I closed my eyelids to look resolutely into the blood-red eyes of my counterpart, even if this struck me as rather ridiculous due to my clear inferiority.
"You think so ..." I remarked bitingly, while I could hear the rush of the waterfall behind my back and smell the smell of the water.
I could feel the boy flinch behind me in shock, while suddenly I felt the other, cold hand of my father on my cheek and tender fingers caressed my skin.
"I know it."
A choked scream and another flinch from Tsukune's side when the older man's other, free hand suddenly shot forward.
"All because you had to follow that stupid girl." I shouted angry and pushed the boy behind me a little bit after I had managed to tear myself out of this intrigue of a caress.
Surprised, he stumbled back a few steps, whereupon I could hear the slight splash around his feet as he got into the damp water on the bank of the large lake.
'This is the only chance ...'
He wanted to escape from the wet cold around his feet again, but I grabbed both of his arms when my father's next movement, betrayed by the air around me, already noticed and tried to escape its effects. His attacks were no longer solely dedicated to Tsukune ... because if he would at least catch me, it would only mean certain death for this young person.
My hands placed his fragile body in my protective care and I pressed his head carefully against my chest, at the same time tightening my grip on his torso. I shifted all of my weight onto my left leg, leaving the ground beneath my feet as I started a powerful leap with Tsukune in my arms.
I felt the cold wind gently brushing my skin, heard the indignant, growled utterance of the old man as I prepared myself for what would come next, subconsciously burying the nails of my fingers in the other person's clothes.
A great fountain of water rose around our bodies after we hit the still and flat surface and sank into the dark depths of the lake.
A pain-distorted sound escaped my throat and the water in my lungs prevented further noises from occurring, all sounds ceased. The water paralyzed my entire body, captured it in its carrying waves. It burned unbearably, as if my body were going up in cold flames.
I felt how my grip on the boy loosened, he was being driven out of my arms. With heavy arms I wrapped around my own aching body weakly and closed my eyes, feeling how every single fiber made me suffer agony.
With a lot of effort, robbing me of my last strength, I managed to open my eyelids, but what I saw, I could only recognize with cloudy and blurred contours. An increasingly thick veil obscured my vision.
The only thing I still noticed was this pleasant closeness ...
This strange but familiar warmth ... Tsukune ...

Deepest darkness!
So far, she has been with me all my life, every moment of my existence.
No matter how hard I try, it determines my heart and soul. Is this cold, unfeeling loneliness my predetermined fate, always omnipresent? Will she sing this sad song to me forever?
The only thing I want is to escape this numb darkness. To feel this pleasant warmth again ...

A voice penetrates me in a whisper, like a breath of wind. I know it, but I am unable to assign it to its host. The loud rustling of a mass of water reached my ears and a light, even tender pressure on my right shoulder made me wince. I propose in that direction, nothing more than an instinctive reflex. But instead of fading with the thick fog around me, the pressure got stronger and shook my body incessantly.
I noticed the faint blinking of my eyelids, whereupon I squeezed them together only so that they would slowly open again and looked into two dark eyes, widened with worry, fear and slight relief.
'Tsukune ...?'
