they have to be special tones, but I couldn't imagine which ones. Don interrupted my thoughts: "Just listen, maybe you will notice something."
And so we closed our eyes and listened to the night. Crickets chirped. An owl was singing and a moment later the bells of the church tower rang. It sounded very different when you focused on it. We let the bells ring and then continued to listen into the night. There were crickets again. Suddenly I heard something. Something that seemed strange to me, but I still knew it from somewhere. It was the chirping of two songbirds! At this time of year? And since! This noise. It was the sound of a waterfall.
"Do you hear that too?" I asked Don and Natsu, who answered with a soft "yes". I took her hands. Slowly we followed the sounds, and they got louder and clearer. We didn't care where we ended up in the end, because we had a wonderful feeling. We trudged on through the snow, and soon we felt the white mass under our feet was diminishing. We had been walking for quite a while, always careful not to open our eyes.
Now it sounded like we were standing right in front of the birds and the waterfall. We perceived a kind of light that rushed past us within seconds.I still held Don and Natsu's two hands tightly in mine.

Suddenly it got warmer. The wind didn't feel cold anymore, it was more like a gentle breeze that tickled my cheeks.
I opened my eyes very slowly and couldn't quite grasp the picture before me.

Finally, I thought. Our real life would finally begin!
