I hardly know anyone who is like you. You were always there for me. When I am sad, all I have to do is see you and I was happy again. You shone like the sun. And with these rays you warmed our minds. Your laugh was like a thousand sunny days and your eyes sparkled like the stars in the clear night sky.
You were there for me when I was finished Without my having to ask, you sacrificed yourself for me, you gave me good approval. I didn't need to say anything, you just took me in your warm arms and took away my grief, filled me with your radiance. Just like you did with everyone, whether you knew them or not. You had a good heart, a very good one. Because often enough I have watched you help people, regardless of yourself. You would have given your last shirt to help someone. But your warm smile and your love for people were mostly enough. And if not, you gave up your last shirt. It was your arms that pulled us all out of the deep pit of misery.
For this I have always admired you, for your selflessness, for the happiness that you carry deep within you. You were one of the few people who were at peace with themselves and the world, for whom nothing could ever ruin their day.
Only today did I find out how much I was wrong. I wish I knew sooner I wish I had noticed how much you needed our help. I've only ever seen your smiling face, but never your deep sadness. I did not realize that you felt the same way as we did, that your smile was only made to love the world and that as soon as you turned around, you gave in to your grief.
