Summer challenge

When Tony Stark opened his eyes, it was dark around him. Still a little dazed, the inventor sat up and ran his hair tousled from sleep. Why was he lying in the back seat of a car in the middle of the night?
While Tony's brain slowly resumed its work, it first stretched extensively. As comfortable as the leather seats might look, they really weren't suitable for sleeping. Somebody should consider this when designing.
The light of the numerous stars barely penetrated through the tinted window panes, although they seemed to shine so much more strongly in this place than in New York. The dark interior of the car was immersed in stillness, which was strange because, as far as the billionaire could remember, he wasn't alone here.
Still thinking about the back pain caused by the impossible upholstery, Tony opened the car door to look for Natasha, who had definitely not been with him in the SUV. But in the next moment his foot sank into the ground without great resistance, so that he landed face first in the snow, unprepared and extremely inelegant.
"What the heck?" Muttered the inventor, suddenly wide awake. He quickly fought his way out of the snow, he was logically damn cold, and tried to get the result of his thoughtlessness by quickly knocking off his clothes.
Only a few seconds later, Tony realized that that was easier said than done, because during his fall, quite a few had gotten into his thin summer jacket, where it had already started to melt. In summary: Tony Stark was thrilled.

Slightly annoyed, the billionaire slipped out of his damp jacket and threw it onto the place that had been his bed just a moment ago. “Hey Natasha, where are you?” Prepared this time, Tony waded through the almost knee-deep snow. Oh, the agent was pretty ready for something!
Maybe he should have left his jacket on, wet or not, it was bloody cold. His breath threw little clouds with each breath. Where on earth was he here? Far and wide there was nothing to be seen except trees. Tony corrected himself, there, leaning relaxed against a tree and talking on the phone, stood Natasha Romanov. When he stepped closer, she ended her call and tucked the cell phone in her snow pants. Why was she properly dressed for this weather?
“This is not Miami!” The agent gave him a mocking smile.
"Just tell me." After a few moments in which the otherwise embarrassed man in front of her did not reply, because the only damn thing in the T-shirt was it was really unbearable in freezing temperatures, she had pity on him. "There are warm clothes in the trunk. Maybe you should put them on, otherwise you will freeze to death before we get to the others. We're almost there."
"Wait, wait, almost there? Just admit that you got lost on the way to Miami. I told you to let me behind the wheel. How can we be almost there, please? As far as I know, it's in Florida No snow in mid-May? ”Tony's incomprehension was written on Tony's face despite trembling limbs. Natasha sighed deeply as if it were the most painful task in the world to drive Tony to the Avengers vacation spot with Tony. Well, maybe it was.
Romanov grinned at the thought that she was happy to have knocked out Iron Man's alter ego for the trip as a precaution. With this memory she endured Stark's whining until they got back to the car and her companion hastily put on their warm clothes."So, now plain language, where are we here?" Rubbing his hands, Tony dropped back into the car seat, but this time at the front, where there was heated seats.
“Just before Wainwright, Alaska.” The man nodded.
"Alaska. I see. Hold, stop! Did you say Alaska?" Again the former Playboy earned a condescending look.
"Can we go on now, or would you like to keep repeating my words?"

Reluctantly, Tony put the seat belt on so the agent could depress the accelerator. Something told him that she wanted to get there as soon as possible. He had many questions, far too many. "Did you knock me out?" He indigned after a second of silence.
"I call that self-defense. I may have lost at the straw, but that doesn't mean that I have to listen to your talk the whole trip."
For a moment the billionaire thought about sulking, but then decided otherwise, his head asking too much for answers. "Okay, we're in Alaska. Would you mind telling me why?" Because actually the Avengers had decided to take a vacation in the sun. Actually, Tony had burst out with the idea and had not experienced a complete rejection. Steve hoped that the new Avengers would grow together, most of the others just hoped for a free, relaxed vacation without unpleasant surprises. So he, who had financed this vacation, did not understand why instead of the beach and cocktails, snow and cold awaited him.
"Change of plan." In moments like these, Stark cursed the former SHIELD agent, but only internally, of course.
"What does change of plan mean here? And who did you just call?" A pleasant sigh crept from his lips as he put his stiff fingers over the heater in the dashboard.
"Clint. He asked where we were staying. The others are all there, unfortunately there is almost no reception out here." Tony accepted that as an answer for the time being.
"Tell me, is this change of plan the reason why we had to drive here by car instead of comfortably with my jet? Does this waingedöns not have an airport?"
He let his gaze wander critically out of the window. The road they were driving on, was it even designed for cars? Actually, it didn't look at all trustworthy. Although, if he trusted someone to reach their destination despite adverse circumstances in deep snow, it was Natasha Romanov. Not that he had a choice, even if it were different.
“Wainwright has a public airport as the place is isolated from the overland route at times.” Unimpressed, the agent continued to press the accelerator, despite the fact that she had just admitted that this route was not recommended for cars. Tony had to take care not to clasp his freshly thawed hands in the handle on the door.
"Why don't we take a jet again?" He pressed out between his teeth as the car skid around and took a sharp right turn.
"Otherwise[style type =" italic "]he[/style]will see us coming."

Before the inventor could inquire more precisely, he was distracted by the sight of countless electricity pylons, which rose darkly into the night sky. What time was it now?
Wainwright was evidently not a big place, only now could he make out the small settlement of cottages. Whether the buildings in front of you were really as colorful in daylight as you sometimes saw in the television films or brochures? At the moment they just showed themselves in different shades of gray, which had as much charm as Tony had to admit.“Is that the whole city?” Let's be honest, here the population was nowhere near the thousand mark. "Where is the band waiting for us?" He continued undeterred. Somehow he had to take revenge on his comrade for the stunning action.
Natasha paid no more attention to his questions, she already knew something like that from him. Just as she knew there was no point, even worse, trying to force him to quiet. The billionaire was delighted that the agent would love to shut him up.
"Next time I'll take double the dose!" Threatened Natasha as she rushed past Steve, who had stepped out of the house to greet her. He wanted to send a punishing look at Tony, but he just seemed to be in thought and didn't even notice him. Atypical for him, the captain thought.
“All right?” The super soldier leaned one arm on the car door, which creaked slightly as a result. His counterpart startled and put on a most charming smile, not that Captain America would pull.
"I just wonder what is going on here all the time, and of course who is not allowed to know that we are here."
Steve was irritated, he hadn't expected that. "Didn't Agent Romanov tell you? I thought you knew." Tony sat up in front of his comrade, a little annoyed.
"The only thing I know is that I spent the last hour in a car that crashed over unpaved roads as if we were on the Nürburgring and in deep snow. Anyway, I thought I was in Florida, then I had to but after my deep sleep I realized that my planned vacation was moved to Alaska without further ado. I was not told anything! "
The captain raised his arms soothingly. Strange, Tony was in a really bad mood, even though he seemed to have been in such a good mood earlier. But what was it that surprised him, the inventor was often a mystery to him.
"We took this route when we learned that Doctor Banner was here," reported Steve. He could literally see the other person's face brightening.
“Bruce is here?” The man's forehead was already furrowing again. "Didn't Fury say he's swimming somewhere in Fiji? What is he doing here in the cold?"

A little absently, Tony turned the empty coffee cup in his hands. Bruce was here, hard to believe. They hadn't heard from him since he'd flown away in the Quinjet in the form of the Hulk. Apart from the fact that if Fury was to be believed, he should have ended up somewhere near Fiji, of course.
Either Tony had grossly overestimated the director, or maybe the physicist had moved once more. Lonely places, or those where one could help, attracted him almost magically. This place was certainly no exception.
“Hey Tony.” James Rhodes collapsed onto the sofa next to him. Somehow, the billionaire couldn't quite believe that his friend was actually a new member of the Avengers. When he thought of the Avengers, nothing against the newcomers, he saw the picture of their group of five in New York stopping the Chitauri army and mad gods or eating shawarma.
“Do you know what's the worst?” Grinning, Tony's arm went to the back of his seat. “The only thing I have with me is sunscreen.” Rhodey just shook his head, that was typical Tony. If he didn't want to, a reasonable conversation was out of the question. Still, James
