Chapter: The escape

Well, the idea came to me when I was watching "Speed" the other day. I just tried to implement it somehow. Just read it ... have fun!

1 - The escape

With narrowed eyes, Kagome watched As Inuyasha was fighting a youkai. The demon was strong, no question about it. But slowly it turned out that Inuyasha was inferior to the youkai. The demon struck him with a tentacle and hurled him onto the earth. Inuyasha slid even further on the ground. He lay motionless a meter or two in front of the other.
"Inuyasha!"
Miroku, who was carrying the unconscious Sango in his arms, looked at the half-demon briefly, then looked again at the approaching demon.
“What do we want to do? What should we do?” Shippo shrieked in panic, held his head and kept walking in circles.
"Dying?" Suddenly came from Kagome, who was holding a slightly weakened Kirara on her arm. She was still the calm person.“Don't talk nonsense!” Inuyasha snorted and got up heavily, “I saw Shippo as more optimistic.” And that was even true. For some time now, Kagome had been freaking out whenever they thought they couldn't get out of it alive. And that was actually quite often.
"And what do you suggest?" She asked calmly.
"..."
"Great! So we're going to die after all," joked Kagome.
"Baka! I'll keep fighting!" Inuyasha yelled at her.
"Forget it, Inuyasha!", Miroku interfered in the battle of words between the two, "You are still battered from the last fight and so you won't make it against the demon!"
"COULD YOU FINALLY DECIDE ?! THE YOUKAI IS ALSO HERE !!!" Shippo's hysterical voice made them aware of the seriousness of the situation again.
"Does anyone have any suggestions?"
"I have one.", Kagome answered still calmly.
"WHICH ONE? GO! SAY!"
The youkai was almost there now and raised one of its tentacles."FLEE !!" With a jerk she had turned around and dashed away.
"Good idea," said Miroku before he ran after Kagome, still with Sango on his arm. Shippo and Inuyasha started moving too.
The youkai's tentacle hit the ground with full force. The earth began to shake violently and a huge crack formed parallel to the fleeing people.
Suddenly Kagome slid to a halt. The rift the youkai had started had overtaken them and cut them off. A huge abyss gaped in front of them.
Miroku didn't see it because he was looking back and crashing into Kagome. They could only just keep their balance.
"Ah, Kagome what's going on?" He asked.
She pointed down.
"Oh...!"
"INU YASHA! THE GORGE !!!", Shippo shrieked hysterically, who had clung to Inu Yasha's Suikan.
Inuyasha had to dodge the tentacles lashing out at him, but managed to answer Shippo screaming.“I SEE IT! I AM NOT BLIND!” Instead of slamming Miroku on the back, he hit the ground behind Miroku.
"Kirara!"
No sooner had Kagome finished the call than the small demon cat transformed into a giant fireball to its original size. They all got up quickly and immediately the demon cat started moving. They flew away over the wide gorge, but when they looked back, they saw that the demon had jumped the abyss with one mighty leap.
"Great. And what do we do now?", Kagome asked calmly, "Hanging out the youkai is not possible and Inu Yasha cannot defeat him either.
"That actually means: that you didn't let me. I would have finished with him already!" Said the half-demon.
"Oh," said Kagome belligerently, "Since when have you let us tell you something?"
He was about to answer when Miroku, who was sitting in front of Kirara, turned to them and Inuyasha cut off the word: "People, stop arguing!That won't solve the problem either! "
Inuyasha saw that Miroku, for better or worse, was right and refrained from making a comment. So they flew on for now. Everyone wondered how the demon could escape without getting killed.

2 - The black hole

"Guys, we should come up with something. Kirara was still weakened from the fight, she can't hold out flying for long either.", Miroku said after a while.
"In any case, we can't land. The youkai is still behind us."
"Chikuso!"
"So die after all, or what?" Asked Kagome.
"STOP the nonsense! YOU'RE STILL MAKING ME INSANE !!!", the Hanyou yelled at her.
"ACH YES ?!" came back from Kagome, at least as loudly, "AND YOU JUST MAKE ME SICK !!!!"
"Hey, Leu-", Miroku began again, but was interrupted:
“KEEP YOURSELF OUT!” This time they both yelled at Miroku together.
Angrily, he crossed his arms and mumbled to Shippo, "If someone should stay out of it, they'll always agree!"Shippo nodded in agreement.
"I heard that!"
"What is that ?!" Shippo suddenly shouted and stopped the others from arguing.
Everyone turned their heads forward, where suddenly a black spot had appeared in the sky. It also got increasingly windy. Miroku frowned. He had a guess. He looked down. There was a wide plain there. Nothing was there. He swallowed.
"What do you have Miroku?"
"I think there's a black hole up there," he replied.
"Like in your hand?" The kitsune asked and looked at Miroku.
"Much more powerful."
"And now?" Shippo turned pale, began to whimper. The wind got stronger and stronger.
"I don't know. We can't go backwards and Kirara is too weak to escape the pull now."
"NANI ?? !!!" came from his friends.
And then they were drawn in by the black hole.

They were received by a pitch-black vortex. They whirled around wildly. There was nothing to hold on to anywhere.The suction was pulling on them so hard that they thought it would tear them apart. They screamed wildly in confusion. Miroku pressed Sango tightly to his body because she was still unconscious. Shippo shrieked wildly and clung to Kagome. Kirara had turned back weakly. Kagome had managed to get hold of her in the deadly vortex and held her tight.
Their screeching was suddenly interrupted by a loud roar, which later turned out to be a scream from the demon. It was now also in the black hole.
And then the tearing and tugging got so bad that they all passed out. It got even blacker than it already was.

3 - arrival

A cool breeze came up. Inuyasha was lying on his back, all four people stretched out, and his nose was just smelling a delicious smell. It smelled so damn good of frames. He dreamed that Kagome had cooked hundreds of servings of frames for him alone.And she kept putting a new bowl in front of his nose. In his dream, however, she was only dressed in underwear (Really! Spanner!).
But then suddenly a hell of a pain ran through his face. The half-naked Kagome and the framed bowls disappeared without a trace. He was forced to open his eyes now. Miroku, Kagome, and Shippo leaned over him and looked at him with concern. Sango was probably still passed out. When he saw Kagome's raised hand, he realized that she had slapped him.
"Nani?" He muttered disoriented.
"Phew. I thought you were dead," Shippo uttered.
Inuyasha ignored him. Groaning, he straightened up again. But he still had the smell of frames in his nose. "Where are we?" He asked.
"We do not know."
"And why does it, damn it, smell like frames here ?!"
"That's typical again!", Kagome crossed his arms angrily. "We don't know where we are and the half-demon only thinks of food!", she screamed, but then stopped," Wait ... did you really say frame? "
Inuyasha did not understand Kagome's change of heart. "Yes why?"
Without another word, Kagome ran to her backpack, which was a few meters away from them. She rummaged through it a bit and took out binoculars. With the binoculars in front of her eyes, she looked around.
"JUHUUUUU !!"
"What's the matter with Kagome?" Shippo asked, more to himself than to his friends.
"You should know that by now, whenever we are about to scrape it off, she goes completely crazy.", Inuyasha said.
"Or Kagome is right and you made her really sick!" Shippo mused aloud. In response, however, he only got a head nut from the said Hanyou.
Kagome had meanwhile grabbed her backpack again, shouldered it and picked up the unconscious Kirara before she ran to her friends and tripped over there. "What are you waiting for?" She asked impatiently."Would you kindly explain to us why you are walking around here like a frightened chicken?" Inuyasha growled.
"Osuwari!"
BUMM!
"What was that for again, you stupid woman?" He scolded her.
“You know that yourself,” she replied angrily, “You said it smells like frames here, but since I definitely didn't cook frames and nobody else can cook frames in the Middle Ages, we must be in my time! I was also right in my assumption. There's a motorway service station up ahead, that's where the smell comes from.
"Sounds logical.", Miroku argued, now also got up and took the still unconscious Sango in his arms again. With quick steps he tried to catch up with Kagome and Shippo, because Kagome had stomped away furiously and Shippo had followed her again. Inuyasha had no choice but to follow his friends again.
They had long since forgotten the youkai who had followed them into the black hole.4 - The emergency

After a while they reached the motorway service station. It was a huge metal building and there was a gas station right next to it with an entrance to the motorway.
Kagome considered whether they should go straight into the rest stop, after all, the group looked anything but normal. She glanced at the group. But there was nothing here to change the way it looked a bit. So she just shrugged her shoulders, pushed open the glass door and let the others enter behind her. Her friends were amazed when they entered.
She directed her friends to sit at the table. But she also noticed that some passers-by were giving their friends strange looks. Meanwhile she disappeared to the buffet.
Inu Yasha's nose was by no means wrong. In fact, there were miso frames. She ordered four servings (Sango wa still passed out, so only four). She quickly paid for the frames and returned to the table where her friends were waiting
