Chapter: A POEM FOR MOTHER'S DAY

Today (May 11th, 2002) I wrote a poem for Mother's Day for my mother and I didn't want to withhold it from you. I don't know if I'm good at writing poetry, but you can let me know in your comments. ^^

Dear mum
<br />
<br />
For your mother's day you want me to write a poem
<br />
I sit here and think
<br />
But I wonder from which point of view
<br />
I will leave you to write.
<br />

Should it be about wishes, dreams, requests?
<br />
There is so much I could write to you.
<br />
I think about it, but don't want to change it
<br />
There's only one thing I really want
<br />
<br />
satisfaction
<br />
<br />
Satisfaction with what i'm doing to you
<br />
You should be proud of me
<br />
And that I laugh again for you
<br />
And no matter how small what I do.<br />
<br />
I want to improve
<br />
But that doesn't happen overnight
<br />
And no longer gossip about you
<br />
I'm sure I still give you a lot of worry.

You wanted a poem
<br />
But is that even one?
<br />
It was written from my point of view
<br />
Maybe it's not after all.
<br />

I did not write you any wishes, dreams, requests
<br />
It is an extraordinary poem
<br />
Such are my customs
<br />
I write what I think and do it from my point of view.

<br />
But I wish you a nice mother's day,
<br />
Be carefree for a day
<br />
This is what I always tell you
<br />
And it's all the other way around.
