Fanfic: Leben und Tod
he should let him go. "He needs time alone."<br />
<br />
Chichi, Gohan, Videl and Son-Goten went to their bedside next and desperately asked Bulma to come back to them. Everyone was forced to tears despite trying to be brave. Chichi and Videl were hit very hard. Son-Goku squeezed his wife's hand and tried to comfort her. After a while he took her aside and hugged her tightly. Gohan also tried to comfort his wife by putting an arm around her shoulders.
<br />
<br />
The rest went to Bulma one by one. Nobody focused on what they were saying because it was private to each of them.
<br />
<br />
Trunks and Bra were the last. They quietly walked up to Bulma and hugged her while warm tears ran down their cheeks. You could hear the word "Mama" coming out of their mouths over and over again. Bra turned pale, but she dealt with the pain courageously and stayed with her mother until Trunks took her hand and went out with her.
<br />
<br />
Son-Goku went to Bulma's bed nervously.He was holding her hand, it was so cold. "Bulma," he whispered, "You are one of my best friends, you mustn't just leave. Wake up. You have to get well, you have to!" Gohan put a hand on his shoulder, but he pushed it away. He kept talking to Bulma until Gohan pulled him away from the bed and looked deep into his eyes, which were full of tears. “She left,” he whispered, his voice failing. The soundless "beep" of the machine filled the room with cold. Son-Goku knew that she had just left, her aura was gone, but he didn't want to admit it, he didn't want to lose his best friend, who he had known since childhood.
<br />
<br />
Outside the door one could hear the terrible screams of Bra and the loud sobs of Trunks. They had also felt their aura die out. Chichi also collapsed in tears, but this time Goku couldn't comfort her either.<br />
<br />
Vegeta stood on a cliff, unable to move, staring blankly into nothing. She was gone. The woman he had loved so much was gone. She had left him and left him alone. His knees trembled and he collapsed. Tears filled his eyes and dripped onto the cold floor. He was on the verge of desperation because he no longer knew what to do. His life was falling apart before his eyes and there was nothing that could hold it together.
<br />
<br />
<br />
Bra was crying. Her heart seemed to be tearing. Trunks had hugged her tightly, but that didn't calm her either. The rest just stood there without moving. It was all quiet. No one could be heard except for Bra.
<br />
<br />
Everything seemed like a dream. Doctors and nurses stormed into Bulma's room and tried to resuscitate her. Everyone prayed that she could be saved, but everyone also knew that she too had gone forever and that nothing could help.<br />
<br />
“She went where she is happy,” said the doctor when he and the other doctors had tried everything, but in vain. Trunks turns to him. "You with your little practiced sayings. Get out of here!"
<br />
Surprised, the doctor left the waiting room in which everyone had taken their seats. Tears ran down Trunk's face. His eyes were full of hopelessness and pain.
<br />
<br />
<br />
Later they all sat in a café. It was slowly getting light again. Nobody said anything. Everyone could see the loss. Black circles formed under her eyes from tiredness and sadness. Vegeta still hadn't shown up. Nobody knew where he was. Nobody had seen him since he left the hospital. You couldn't feel it either, since it had extinguished its aura.
<br />
“There must be something we can do.” Videl stirred her tea with a spoon.
<br />
"No, unfortunately not.The Dragonballs can only revive you once (that's the way it is in my story) and Bulma has already been dead. "Son-Goten stared outside, where the rain pelted the roofs. Shortly after Bulma died, it had started to close raining and has not stopped since then.
<br />
Again it was quiet. Nobody spoke, nobody could utter a word of comfort.
<br />
<br />
Son-Goku played in his mind's eye all the beautiful moments with Bulma, how he had got to know her and how they went together to search for the dragon balls. 'I wish I could undo all of this.'

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ (Flashback end)
<br />
<br />
It had been a day since the funeral. Vegeta had only come back shortly before the funeral, but no one knew where he was. At first you thought he would have trained somewhere to get other thoughts and let his anger and sadness out, but then you would have felt his aura and it was not found in the whole 2 days that he was gone.And shortly after the funeral he disappeared again without anyone being able to find him.
<br />
<br />
<br />
It was early when Goku woke up. He saw that Chichi was still fast asleep snuggled into his arm. She had had a nightmare that night, as in the previous two nights, that did not let her sleep. Again and again she dreamed of how a car raced towards Bulma and she couldn't help her, even though she was only 1 meter away. Every time she woke up screaming and drenched in sweat when the car drove into Bulma.
<br />
Son-Goku gave Chichir a gentle kiss on the forehead, slowly pulled his arm out from under her head so that she did not wake up and got up. He dressed quietly and left the house. It was still dark outside, but he didn't care. He needed fresh air. Without a goal he flew straight through the darkness until he suddenly could feel Vegeta's aura. But something was wrong with him. His aura got stronger and stronger until it suddenly weakened again to a minimal level, so that you could hardly feel it anymore.'Oh god, Vegeta, he won't ...? 'Son-Goku quickly flew in the direction in which he could feel Vegeta and found him kneeling on the floor. He was covered by countless wounds that he had inflicted on himself and directed his hand, in which an energy ball appeared, on himself. “Vegeta!” Son-Goku grabbed him quickly so that the energy ball hit a rock behind them and tore it into a thousand pieces. "What is that supposed to mean ?! Have you gone mad?" Son-Goku grabbed his friend by the shoulders and shook him, but he just looked at him with empty eyes. “Leave me alone and get away from Kakarott.” “You just wanted to kill yourself!” “So what? You don't care.” “No, it can't. I can understand that you miss her, but we all do have to deal with her death. "Goku let go of Vegeta, who sank back to his knees. "Listen, she was my best friend and I loved her very much too, but my life goes on, I've understood that by now, and yours will go on too."He knelt down next to Vegeta on the floor, put his hands on his shoulders and looked into his eyes." You also have two children who need you. You can't just let them down that easily. They both suffered enough when they lost their mother, especially Bra. "Son-Goku emphasized the name Bra because he knew that Vegeta reacted to him, after all, she was his little angel." Besides, Bulma would certainly not want you to do any stupid things about her. "
<br />
Silence. Nobody said anything anymore. After a while, Son-Goku got up and wanted to leave, because he thought it wouldn’t have worked anyway to talk to Vegeta, but suddenly: "Wait!"
<br />
Son-Goku turned back to Vegeta, who slowly stood up too, but stared at the floor. "I hate to admit it, but ..." Vegeta lifted his head and looked Goku straight in the face. "... you are right. I ... thank you." Then he flew away quickly.
<br /><br />
It wasn't long before he got home. He was hardly in the door when Bra and Trunks came towards him. Bra hugged him tightly. "Finally you are back, papa. I missed you." Yes, Goku was really right. His family needed him now. And he needed her too. He picked up Bra and looked at her sweet face. His life went on and in his daughter he would always have someone who would remind him of Bulma, the woman he had loved all these years, and at some point he would see her again, but there was still a lot of time until then.
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Days, weeks, months and years passed as Vegeta stood and looked at her grave. He often thought about whether she was happy where she was now. He placed a red rose on her grave and turned to go. One last time he looked at the tombstone on which "Bulma Briefs, born 733, died 783" was written in large letters. "I love you." was the last thing he said, then he left.<br />

That was it. I hope you enjoyed it, even if I certainly didn't quite meet the characters.
