Part 10 The past does not rest

"NNNNNNEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNN." Conny's shrill scream filled the whole area. She looked Jack in the eye one last time before it finally dissolved into dust. Belonga had killed him. He's dead, forever dead. The words kept echoing in Conny's head. She held her hands in front of her face as if she wanted to shield the pain from herself. She was trembling all over and she could barely stand on her feet. "Pull yourself together. You mustn't give up now," Buffy said. "I can't take it anymore, Buffy. I can't take the pain anymore." When she finished her knees buckled and she fell unconscious to the floor. "Conny, wake up again. We have to get her out of here. She won't wake up alone," Buffy urged. "We can't keep withdrawing," Vegeta snapped at her. “If we don't help Conny, she'll die.” “She's just passed out."" Not exactly. She's seen Jack die before and she can't take it again. So she has withdrawn into a kind of world of her own from which she cannot escape. "

Finally Vegeta saw that Conny had to help save the world. Goku teleported everyone to Dende's palace. "What can we do to wake her up again?" Piccolo asked impatiently. As she walked, she turned one last time to call Jack an idiot. "Wait a minute! I'm Jack! And you?" He called to her and followed Conny into the building.

The Z-fighters found themselves over the rooftops of Sunnydale. It was now night and only the street lights provided some light. Suddenly Conny came flying towards her. Just before she fell from the skyscraper, she caught herself and landed a little rough on her feet. She was clutching a stake and looked uncertainly in the direction of Jack. "I knew that you didn't have the heart to kill me. You are physically pretty strong, but your soul is your greatest weak point," he roared and grinned confident of victory. "I could kill you at any time. I don't care about you anymore, I'm just doing my job," she announced."I want to see that. Have you ever done something on your own? Certainly not. In the next instant everyone was back in the C.C. Conny entered the kitchen and drank a glass of water. Then she paused for a moment and thought for a moment. She felt how she was enveloped by a warm light and slowly all problems were resolved from her. After that, everything around her was shrouded in a deep darkness.
