Chapter: The Fluc - Part 9
Sorry that you had to wait so long.
Part 9 is a little shorter. Hope it hasn't gotten too bland in a few places. I really had writer's block for almost 3 weeks. * head shake *
Talked enough. I hope you enjoy reading.

Part 9

She stared at him with big eyes. Did she hear right? Elite academy? And should she go there? Lydia shook her head in disbelief. "You can not be serious."
“Yes it is.” Zarlek grinned. "You can be really happy, little one. No alien has made it there before you."
Torn between joy and horror, Lydia stood there. Her dream of being like the Z-Fighters seemed closer. ; but also the danger of becoming a monster. Cold chills ran down her spine at the thought. She shook her head indignantly and concentrated again on her upcoming school visit."And when should I go to the academy?"
"Your entrance exam is in half an hour ..." "WHAT? And why am I only finding out now?" Zarlek looked at her slightly sourly. "It would be nice if I could also know what you are planning for me." Angrily, she crossed her arms and turned away.
"Come on now. You have time to pout later." Zarlek grinned and dragged her out of her room, gripped by the arm. He encountered little resistance ...

-------

... Lydia rolled her eyes. Should that be your opponent? 'Pretty tall guy. Almost looks like nappa. So little intelligence. ' she thought disparagingly, but did not rely on external judgment. Her counterpart grinned back, sure of victory. Every viewer could see the mutual rejection well.

"Don't disappoint me. Do you hear?" Zarlek called to her from the edge of the ring. His face clearly reflected his concern. "Against Ra'àel[Ra'äel spoken]no candidate has yet passed." muttered Pear[jap.Pear]Zarlek too. Pear, the head of the academy, personally supervised the entrance exam this time. For an average warrior, he had come a long way in his post.
"Why did you want to let the little girl fight against Ra'àel so badly?" he now asked the general. "The king's orders. You know how he is."
“Yeah, I know.” Pear nodded his head slowly. "His son would be here today if he hadn't disappeared."
"When can I finally finish them?" it rang from the ring. Ra'àel pointed impatiently at Lydia.

'GREAT. From the rain in the eaves. 'Lydia thought and grimaced. Not being able to stop exercising was bad enough. But to have to fight against this overpowering, macho-like block, she found it simply abnormal.
By now she knew that the king simply determined her life. However, she hadn't got used to it yet. 'Apparently the king ate a fool of me for having to do something like that.' she thought and gave a slight moan.

"Yeah yeah. You can start." Paer waved in exasperation. Ra'àel and Lydia immediately took up fighting positions. "I'll finish you off, you mosquito." Ra'àel grinned. "Don't spit such big sounds, giant baby." countered Lydia. "Well wait ..." Ra'àel growled back and attacked. Lydia skillfully avoided his first punches. "You're too slow!" she grinned and disappeared. Shortly afterwards, Ra'àel felt her foot in the neck and went to the ground. "RAAAHH" like a snorting locomotive, Ra'àel rose and headed for Lydia.
Lydia quickly blocked and countered the following blows. Ra'àel's punches and kicks were powerful, but too lame for Lydia's taste. 'It can certainly be even faster.' she thought seriously.

"Uihuihuiui. The little one is really good." marveled Pear. "Sure, she had a good teacher too." Zarlek smiled proudly. Paer put on a sly grin. "Don't be happy too soon. She hasn't won yet ..." His face became serious again."... and Ra'àel can be quite a brutal."

Ra'àel was really on the move now. He quickly noticed a small gap in Lydia's cover. In the next moment she was already on the ground. Zarlek stared into the ring in shock. Lydia coughed briefly. A little blood ran from the corner of her mouth. She wiped it away in disgust. 'This ruffian is stronger than I thought. It depends on my speed to win. 'Lydia thought and looked at Ra'àel. Sure of victory, he slowly came over to her "Are you already limp little one?" "Not for a long time." Both grinned nastily and the fight went on. .....

about 3 months after Boo's death, in the DBZ world:

..... "And you really can't remember it?" Goku looked critically at Vegeta from the side. "If I tell you! * Grrrr * And now stop annoying!" Vegeta got up angrily and flew away. 'Kakarrot can be really annoying at times.' he thought and flew to the C.C .: back.He didn't understand what this theater was about! For a good two months they kept asking him about this incident. It was just a 'small' training accident, nothing more. Or was there more to it? ...

Son Goku watched him go. Vegeta either pushed the 'accident' away or he really didn't remember it. Shaking his head, Goku also made his way home. He and Vegeta had had an exhausting training fight today and had talked a little afterwards.

Lydia had been wrestling with Ra'àel for over an hour. His reserves of strength were impressively high, but Lydia didn't look so good. She now had quite a few wounds. Fortunately, flying was not allowed on the entrance exam. So Lydia had a certain chance against the rough Saya-jin.
'I'll never beat him like that.' she thought desperately while she was slapped again. After a few yards of flight, her head slammed hard on the stone pavement of the ring.Something warm ran down the side of your face. She didn't pay attention. "All right. You didn't want it any other way." ripe them. Ra'àel made a questioning face. Did the little one want to sweep him off the square with an AI attack? She wasn't able to do that!
Lydia put her right arm back on top and concentrated. 'Keep laughing!' she grinned inwardly.
Zarlek had only taught her the basics of AI attacks. She had learned the rest of it when the general left her alone during training.
Ra'àel was standing less than three feet from the edge of the ring. 'There should be enough strength to push him out of the way. 'thought Lydia as she put the last of her energy into the attack.
Still laughing, the Saya-jin wanted to attack her again.
"DONNERBLITZ" Lydia flung her right hand, shaped into a claw, forward. With her left hand she fixed it in the direction of the opponent. A golden-yellow beam, surrounded by small blue flashes, raced towards Ra'àel.
Your opponent crossed his arms in front of his face in surprise. But the force of the impact pressed him to the edge of the ring. He waved his arms wildly. It did not help. The Saya-jin lost its balance and fell out of the ring.

A murmur went through the small group of spectators. Ra'àel had never been defeated by a weaker opponent.
Pear briefly went through his notes before announcing the result. "Congratulations Zarlek. The little one passed." A relieved grin appeared on his face.

Lydia sagged. 'Done.' She lay panting on the floor of the ring. 'Finally done. 'Your opponent was outside the ring. Cursing loudly, the tall Saya-jin looked at the slender girl. "This *****. I will not accept that." In a rage, he stood up and tried to pounce on his opponent. It took five grown men to hold him.
Meanwhile, Zarlek stepped into the ring to congratulate his student.

"Hey little one. You passed." Zarlek knelt next to Lydia. She showed no reaction. Numerous wounds adorned her body. A steady stream of blood flowed from a laceration on the head. Zarlek shook her worriedly. "Little one? ... Come on. ... Now stop pretending." But Lydia had long since escaped into the realm of dreams.
Suddenly a foot barely stomped Lydia's head on the ground. Zarlek looked into hate-filled eyes. "She will pay for that." the Saya-jin crunched over her. His punch on her head thundered against a strong arm. Slowly his gaze slid to Zarlek's face. "If you love your life, leave her alone." the dangerous undertone in his voice made Ra'àel cringe.
When Zarlek left the ring with Lydia in his arms, the bystanders backed away in awe. As a precaution, he took the little one to the hospital.
There, however, a little surprise was waiting for both of them. ....

* Sequel follows*

What kind of surprise is that? Let's see what I'll hatch for it. * g *

Part 10 is definitely already in the works.
