Fanfic: Der Fluch - Teil 11
you." Rey agreed. The girls secretly envied Lydia. She had achieved what the two could only dream of before.
“Thank you Zarlek!” Lydia gave the general a quick hug. “It's okay.” Carefully he pushed her away again. Was there any redness in his story? "Come on. It's time to hand you over to your new instructors, little one." Lydia Zarlek followed a little wistfully from her room. ...

Involuntarily she had to grin briefly when she thought of Zarlek's slightly shameful face. She stopped again in the shadow of a pillar. Half of the way behind her now. She looked around curiously.A row of elite warriors stared straight ahead to the right and left of her. The braziers in the hall cast eerie shadows on the walls. The throne stood before her. On top of it sat its rightful owner, King Vegeta.
Behind the throne stood three other men next to Zarlek. They talked animatedly with the king. There was someone else sitting next to him, a woman. The gold ring on her head clearly indicated her position.
Lydia suddenly felt very sick in her stomach. The thought briefly occurred to her to back down. But the look at the closed door taught her better. Plus, if she backed down now, Vegeta would surely pulverize her. The Kaio-Ha would certainly not help her here either. It had been a matter of luck it had worked on Earth the last time. Lydia continued on her way with soft knees.
When she got to the throne, she knelt. Lydia kept her gaze lowered. She listened intently to the conversation between the men, but unfortunately she only understood whispers. They just spoke too softly.
Suddenly there was silence in the hall. Soft footsteps echoed off the walls. "Stand up!" came a bit harshly from above. Lydia slowly straightened up. Her downcast gaze fell on the breastplate of her counterpart. The royal coat of arms and the amulet on his chest made her shiver. She began to shake imperceptibly all over her body. Tiny beads of sweat formed on Lydia's forehead. She struggled to hide her fear behind a cold mask.
Gently but firmly, a roughly gloved hand cupped her chin and pushed it up a little. Whether she wanted to or not, she had to look into jet black eyes - cold eyes. With a jerky movement Lydia tried to free her head. In vain. It only hardened his grip. He smiled thoughtfully at her. A shiver sent a chill down her spine. There was a brief flash of hatred and contempt in her eyes.
Had it not been for King Vegeta, she would have had a better chance of a normal life. But then again, she owed him her life. Lydia felt trapped. A kind of love-hate relationship flared up inside her. With a low sigh, she gave up. At the moment she couldn't fight him.
King Vegeta then let go of her and sat back on the throne. She had reacted exactly as he expected his 'daughter' to do. She had submitted.
Lydia looked up at Vegeta with a frown on her forehead.
"Now say, why are you bothering us?" King Vegeta asked condescendingly.
Lydia would have loved to polish his face now. His stupid grin asked for it. "I should give you this letter. Everything I should tell you is in it." She held up the said document a little.
King Vegeta gave Zarlek a little nod. His first general responded immediately and handed him the scroll.King Vegeta looked calmly at the paper. It was sealed seven times. The individual seals represented animal figures and a few objects. The first seal showed a lamb with a pennant, the second a winged bull with an open book. An eagle, a winged lion, and an angel followed. They too each held an open book. The sixth seal represented a simple wooden cross and the seventh seal presented a filled chalice that stood in a crown.
Curious, Vegeta broke the seals. Slowly he unrolled the parchment and read it. Vegeta's expression showed no emotion. As soon as he finished reading, he passed the scroll on to his wife. It grew paler and paler the further she read ... Horrified, she passed it on to the generals. A low murmur spread from behind the throne.
Looking even more angry than usual, King Vegeta stood up: "Do you have any proof of that?"
"YES your Majesty." She held his gaze resolutely."The rate of earthquakes has at least doubled. There has also been significantly more volcanic activity since my arrival."
"Garan!" - "Yes, my lord?" - "Check that." - "Yes Sire." Immediately the second general of the king disappeared in the direction of the back door.
"You haven't got anything more convincing to offer?" Vegeta grumbled down from the throne.
Lydia thought for a moment and knelt down again. She whispered something softly and folded her hands. 'What is she doing now? 'Vegeta looked down at Lydia, startled.
Suddenly the whole room was lit up. A disk of white light formed next to Lydia. Someone stepped out of the window. The bystanders were so blinded that they only took the shape of the figure. Astonishment and horror showed on their faces.
Lydia, however, seemed to be delighted from the bottom of her heart. With a smile on her face, she turned to face the figure ...
