Chapter 4 - surprising discovery
Ryoga walked thoughtfully down the long hallway. "Ryoga! What are you doing here?" He looked around. Akane came towards him. “A-Akane! Hello!” “Where are you from?” She looked down at him. "I took a bath." "But Ranma is in the bathroom ?! You didn't-?" "No! Uh-" He couldn't tell her now that he was P-chan and that he had changed back to Ranma . “I fell into the river and Ranma gave me a towel.” Which wasn't that far-fetched. He had really fallen into the river because someone bumped into him and then decided to visit her. "And where are your things?" "Uh .. Great question." He scratched his head. Akane laughed."You may be a bowl! You should know where you lost your things." He nodded. Laughing, she continued down the hall, Ryoga watching her go. She was just a lot nicer than usual. Maybe she really felt something for this Shuji. Love should even be able to move mountains, why not make Akane happy too? He wanted to make her laugh, to see her smile. A smile just for him. Now this Shuji got it. It hurts. A lot. Just the thought of her made another cut in his heart. He had often been so close to her without her knowing it. Had suffered with each of her tears. The tears that were shed because of someone who insulted her, hurt her so much. Every time again. He fell on the cold ground. Kasumi sat in front of him, staring in horror. Ryoga stood up. His thoughts were so deep that he hadn't even seen her. He held out his hand to her, helped her up.He took a step forward. A terrible pain ran through him, made him collapse. Blood flowed down the bright hallway. “Ryoga!” Kasumi knelt next to him, looked at the foot. “Come on, I'll call Dr. Tofe.” She helped him into the kitchen. He sat down on a chair, held his foot. A little later the doctor hurried in, kneeled in front of Ryoga and looked at the bleeding area. “Oh boy, this doesn't look good.” He looked up. "You have a piece of glass in your foot. I have to get it out, it could be painful." He took a pair of tweezers from his pocket. Ryoga winced. This pain! Dr. Tofu held out a bloodied shard of glass. Ryoga looked at her in horror. That was in his foot ?! He hadn't expected something so huge. “You have to take care of your foot for the next few days.” The doctor interrupted his thoughts. "Otherwise it could catch fire. Here." He pressed a small ointment into his hand. "Change the bandage every day and put the ointment on it.I'll see again after the injury in a week. "He wrapped a white bandage tightly around his foot." You will stay with us for so long. "Kasumi turned to the two of them and held out a teacup. They took it with thanks. Dr. Tofu took a sip, but then agreed." That is probably the best. Kasumi is a great nurse. "He smiled at her. He said goodbye to his fiancée with a kiss and waved to his patient again before leaving the house." I'll get the guest room ready for you. "Kasumi turned away from the door and turned to her guest." You can go into the garden during that time. "The eldest Tendo daughter also closed the kitchen door behind her. Ryoga, leaning on the crutches that the Doc had given him, hobbled through the house towards the garden. In the living room, Genma and Soun were playing Go, as always. Kind regards the boy seemed to be ignored, and he stepped outside and ranma on his foot. This was meanwhile out of the bathroom and now visibly surprised by Ryoga's sudden appearance. “What are you still doing here?” He looked down at him. “Did you meet Akane?” He couldn't help but grin. “No. I had an accident.” To Ranma's astonishment, his counterpart remained calm. “I bumped into Kasumi and had a piece of glass in my foot.” They sat down on the wooden floorboards. “And now you stay until the foot has healed.” Ranma looked at him. Ryoga nodded. "Oh, by the way ..." Ryoga broke the silence. “I met Akane.” Ranma looked up from the floor. “She was like a different person. I've never seen her so happy.” “That's right.” A boy came up to the two boys. “Have you seen Akane?” “Who wants to know that?” Ranma looked at him searchingly. “Your date.” “Does it have a name?” His look became slightly angry. Something bothered him about him. He couldn't figure out what it was, but it was there. "Shuji!" Akane ignored Ryoga and Ranma, but immediately wrapped her arms around him.“Thank you, it's done nicely.” Shuji looked down at Ranma. Akane turned around. "Ranma! Ryoga! What are you doing there ?!" But she didn't wait for the answer, but just walked arm-in-arm with Shuji from the property. “Something is wrong with that.” Ryoga looked worriedly at Ranma. "I know. But I can't figure out what it is." He stared at the tree across from him as if he wanted to cut it down with his thoughts. "Hopefully it has nothing to do with Akane. She is so happy." Ranma nodded. "Tell me, don't you want to wear something else?" He grinned at Ryoga, who didn't understand. Confused, he looked over at him. He looked down at himself and turned white as a sheet. His towel, which he had tied around his waist, had slipped down and now bared everything. He jumped up, grabbed the towel lying on the floor and ran, rather hobbling on crutches into the bathroom. Relieved, he closed the door behind him as he left the bathroom. What an embarrassment. Hopefully Akane hadn't noticed.Although ... She was probably too busy thinking about her date and probably hadn't paid attention to it. His luck, otherwise he would have had to explain a few things to her.
