Chapter: The truth
In the meantime at the fortress of Genoa:
"MASTER, MASTER!" screams a little blond boy who was walking around excitedly. "Yes?" answered a slightly smoky voice. “What is Roan?” The person was wrapped in a shiny blue cloak with gold buckles. She stroked the little blond's hair and smiled. It was Yuna, the queen of the land and Kazu's stepmother. "I'm worried about my daughter," she said. “I think she'll be back soon!” Roan's green eyes literally seemed to twinkle as he uttered this sentence. He was afraid. Afraid that his 7 year older stepsister, whom he loved so much, would not come back. "Mom, I'm scared for her" he started to cry. "I just wanted her not to run away, that's why I locked her up .... I didn't mean anything bad." Yuna replied with her head bowed slightly. Tears came to her too. "I'm sorry Kazu ... come back to me!" she thought.
It was evening and Kazu, Ryudo, and Skye were sitting by the tent's campfire."I'm sorry about the sudden attack with the cloth!" said Ryudo. "Oh, never mind that wasn't bad," she replied.
Suddenly there was a strange noise: “MEW?” Everyone started. But it was only a little carro. Carros are fox-like, cat-sized creatures with a flare at the tail end. "Oh god you have and but you scare little thing" said Ryudo. Little Carro hissed at him but when he noticed that Kazu picked him up he suddenly fell silent. He started purring as she stroked him. "Look, they are quite harmless, I had one when I was still at the castle ....." when she noticed what she had slipped out of what was it already too late. "LOCK???" Skye exclaimed in horror. "Are you saying you're the runaway princess?" asked Ryudo.
"Um, I ..... well ..... NO! Of course not what do you think!" she tried to change the subject but couldn't. "Well, I think I'll take you back to the castle then! OK?" Kazu looked at the floor and started crying. The tears fell on the soft clay floor. Ryudo looked at her pityingly. "Oh, don't come cry, what's so bad? Why don't you want to go there anymore?" But she said nothing. She stayed silent.
He took her in his arms and tried to comfort her but it was in vain. She kept crying until she finally fell asleep in his arms. He smiled, stroked her hair, and lay down with her. Skye kept watch and watched everything carefully.
