Shadows of the Past - You don't forget them

Hi!
Sorry that I kept you waiting so long again! But now it's finally going on!

Chapter 9: Founded

Involuntarily, all the muscles in Nami's body tensed. Why was he asking something like that from her now? She couldn't do that. And she didn't want it either. Or does it?
She still felt his warm breath on her neck and the tingling just wouldn't let up. What should she do now? She just couldn't get rid of the feeling that it was wrong, even if she didn't know why.
Suddenly she felt his lips on hers and the tingling became even stronger. She closed her eyes unnoticed and enjoyed the feeling when she suddenly saw a familiar face in front of her eyes: Zorro. Why did she always have to think about him? But when Jamie turned to her neck and kissed it lovingly, she got the answer. It felt just like it did with him. Zorro had always been so kind and tender to her, too.Her heart began to hurt terribly again and at that moment she had only one thought: She had to get away from here.
Suddenly the door was thrown open and Nami and Jamie were frightened. Nami quickly took this opportunity and moved away from him a bit. Both eyes fell on the door in which Janina was standing and looked over at them with wide eyes.
When Jamie saw that it was just his little sister, he got a little pissed off. "What do you want here now? Never heard of knocking? You're disturbing." But instead of answering his questions, she went closer to the two of them. “What have you just been doing?” “Nothing and now get out of here!” “Yes, you licked her neck (^^ Children! Although I think I'll turn a 10-year-old into a 6-year-old or something, it can be ? I mean, at 10 years old you're not so naive, right?). I saw it. "" So what? It's none of your business! And now I'll say it again: get out!"" I want to ask you something. "" But it doesn't have to be now! "" Yes, because I want to know now! "" Do you actually know that you are a bit of a pain in the ass ?! " "I'm not! You just have to tell me! " "What?! "" What happens on a wedding night? "" The subject again! You heard dad! Only when you are older! "" I think that's mean! "" I don't care! You are still too small! " "I'm not!"
Nami watched the two brawlers quietly and inwardly breathed a sigh of relief that the little one had burst in. Who knows what else would have happened. She had to get out of here and since Jamie was busy at the moment, she wouldn't have any problems with that either. She quickly slipped past him to the other side of the bed, got up and shortly after was already outside and down the stairs. There she breathed again with relief and silently thanked the little one for appearing. She knew she was acting ridiculous, because after all, Jamie was going to be her husband soon and she wouldn't be able to run away from him like that forever. But at the moment she didn't want to feel him so close to her if she only had to think about Zorro. At some point the time would come.
But now she needed a good excuse for her sudden disappearance. And it came promptly when she heard Jessica and Lynn's voice from the living room.
"Hey you two! Come on, let's rehearse a little more!" she called to the two of them, who immediately turned to face her in surprise. "Where are you from all of a sudden? Weren't you with Jamie?" asked Lynn.
"Yes, but he's busy with Janina right now and I thought it wouldn't hurt if we rehearse another round before I have to watch the two of them arguing." don't have anything better to do right now. "Jessica got up from the sofa, as did Lynn, and they both followed Nami into the basement.

When they climbed the stairs every three two hours later, Jamie was already waiting for them at the cellar door.He had his arms crossed over his chest and didn't look particularly good. Lynn and Jessica glanced at each other and quickly pushed past him. Only Nami stopped in front of him because she knew that he was most likely waiting for an explanation from her.
"Why did you run away?" "I didn't feel like watching you arguing and it also occurred to me that we wanted to rehearse again. After all, we have a gig next week." Nami hoped that he would buy it from her.
“You could have done that later.” Jamie's gaze softened again. “How long do you want to run away from me?” So he had seen through her after all. With a sigh, Nami sat down on the stairs and shrugged. Jamie let out a sigh and sat down next to her. "I really don't know what you're afraid of. I don't understand what what happened in your past has to do with this one."He lifted her head to look her in the eye.
“I've already explained that and I can't tell you more.” To show him that she wanted to end the conversation, she gave him a quick kiss on the mouth and then got up. "Just give me more time."
Jamie sighed again in resignation, but nodded.

A few days later the time had come: the day of the city festival and Nami's birthday were just around the corner.
Already at breakfast she was surprised with a huge birthday cake, although like the two years before she didn't really feel like celebrating. But so as not to spoil the other's good mood, she put on a smile and let the congratulations go through her.

In the afternoon the whole family went to town and while Maria and Georg sat down with friends at the table, Jessica, Lynn and Nami took care of the preparations for their performance.

The three of them were setting up the music system with Ben and Jamie when the mayor joined them on stage."I still have to thank you guys for performing here today." "That's not worth mentioning. We'll be happy to do it." Jessica replied without looking up from the system she was wiring up to the microphones.
"But there is still something I have to tell you. The television got wind of it and now wants to broadcast your performance live."
The three women glanced at each other. Then Jessica got up from her "work" and went to the mayor. "No problem. If you really want to. That’s great promotion for us and our concert the week after next." . "The mayor left the stage and the 5 could continue to work in peace. It wasn't long until her appearance and Nami slowly felt her usual nervousness again. Even though she'd been on stage so often in front of people, before that she still got stage fright. In the meantime she had it under control at least enough that it disappeared after the first song and she could sing freely.

In the evening the time had come. Nami shivered slightly as she walked up the stage and her stomach cramped a little. 'Fuck stage fright. 'She took another deep breath. 'Let's go.'
The three nodded briefly to each other, then we could start.
Nami picked up the microphone.

I can see
when you stay low nothing happends
does it feel right?

Late at night
things I thought I put behind me
haunt my mind

I just know theres no escape
now once it sets its eyes on you
but I wont run, have to stare it in the eye

Stand my ground, I won't give in
no more denying, I got to face it
won't close my eyes and hide the truth inside
if I not make it, someone else will stand my ground

It's all around
getting stronger, comming closer
into my world

I can feel
that its time for me to face it
can I take it?

Though this might just be the endingof the life I held so dear
but I wont run, theres no turningback from here

Stand my ground, I won't give in
no more denying, I got to face it
won't close my eyes and hide the truth inside
if I not make it, someone else will stand my ground

All I know for sure is im trying
I will always stand my ground

Stand my ground, I won't give in, I won't give out
no more denying, I got to face it
won't close my eyes and hide the truth inside
if I not make it, someone else will

Stand my ground, I wont give in
no more denying, I got to face it
won't close my eyes and hide the truth inside
if I not make it, someone else will stand my ground.

The performance of the three was broadcast on all the islands in East Blue. It ran on all televisions. Even the televisions that were displayed as exhibits in the window of the electronics stores were all switched to the same channel. Only a few isolated people, mostly older people, who were not interested in this kind of music, were seen in the streets.Everyone else was at home. Nami, Jessica and Lynn were so famous that no one wanted to miss their music.
So no one noticed either how a small boat docked in the port of Loguetown and a black-haired man with an orange hat went ashore. 'Finally back at East Blue. Home, you have me again. It's been a long time. 'Now it wouldn't be long before he would hopefully finally find her. Only a few more islands should lie between them. He hadn't really planned to stop anywhere, but he'd run out of provisions and if he didn't get another one, he would starve to death in the next few hours. His stomach was already hanging on the back of his knees.
So he went in the direction of the city center, looking for a restaurant and a supermarket.
'What's going on here? The city is almost deserted. Well, good too. That way I can better watch out for the Navy. 'Shrugging, he went on.But he was still interested in where all the residents had gone.
While looking for a restaurant or at least a small pub that was open for a change, he passed an electronics store. Disinterested, he glanced briefly out of the corner of his eye at the TV in the shop window while he walked on. But then he suddenly stopped dead. Had his eyes just played a trick on him? That woman, that was ...
He quickly took a few steps back and actually .....! That was her!
His hand touched the pane of glass as if it were touching it. Her voice sounded so soft and yet he could read in her eyes that she must have been through a lot in the past few years.
