Fanfic: Ein tripp in die Altewelt
an approaching noise. He got up cautiously, without waking Rin, and went to a bush.It was quiet for a moment, but Inuki felt that something was wrong. He growled softly. And not only did he perceive the impending danger, Sesshoumaru had also long since obtained an overview of the situation from his resting place.
Suddenly Inuki barked and woke Kimie from her sleep. She jumped up abruptly and looked around hastily. "How? What? Where?" Her gaze fell on Inuki, who stood barking and growling in front of a bush from which a demon, who looked like a huge snake, snapped out and snapped at the dog. But he quickly jumped aside and attacked the demon. Inuki took a single bite, but then let go of his opponent again when he realized that this would appear to be of no use. The snake demon let out a threatening hiss when his gaze fell on Kimie. It took maybe two seconds, then he dashed towards her.
"Iiiiek! Get out of here!" Reflexively, Kimie pulled her sword, which she had been holding in her hand the whole time, out of its scabbard and struck without further hesitation.Silence...
Kimie had closed her eyes, but when nothing more happened, she hesitantly opened them again and swallowed. Her sword was stuck in the middle of the head of this serpent demon. It seemed to be over, apparently she had hit it well, but Kimie still shied away from withdrawing her sword. It also seemed to be stuck somehow, as she found out when she pulled it a little hesitantly. She had never seen anything like it either. She had never used her sword seriously against a real opponent, let alone killed with it. Finally Kimie went to disgust to get her sword out of the head of this demon. The noises that were made sounded like someone was stirring a thick slime broth with a wide spoon. When she finally did it, she looked at her sword and wrinkled her nose. Black, thick blood dripped down from it."Really great ...", Kimie mumbled softly and rummaged in her pocket. She took out a handkerchief and set about removing at least most of this gross mass from her sword. However, she now went to the others at the somewhat distant and extinguished campfire. She certainly didn't want to spend the night next to a demon carcass. Kimie looked around. Nobody seemed to have noticed this incident, because everyone slept calmly. Kimie sighed softly, then sat down next to Rin and started cleaning her sword. Inuki sat down next to her and watched her carefully. Was that a day! It seemed to be teeming with demons everywhere. Some probably wanted people to lie on the dinner plate and others seemed to be lovingly giving curtain sermons. And still others remained silent and preferred to threaten you with cool looks.
> Demons ... They can only screw their nerves! <, thought Kimie and lay down on the grass after she had managed to get her sword back more or less.Inuki lay down between her and Rin. It didn't take long for everyone to go back to sleep. That means all but one ...
As I said, Sesshoumaru had also heard about this incident. He too had noticed the demon early on, as had Junki. But instead of interfering this time, he wanted to play the silent observer a bit instead. He would have intervened if there had been the danger that the serpent demon would have attacked the others too. But why should he waste his time helping a human woman who was likely to die at his hand soon anyway? Until now Inu Yasha hadn't shown up and now Sesshoumaru didn't seem to care if his younger half-brother would show up at all. Sesshoumaru would soon get rid of Kimie's presence. Maybe one more day.
