Chapter: The challenge

Akane watched fearfully from behind the tree until she could no longer bear to see the two fight. She ran towards the fighting and shouted while she was running: "Stop it!" She ran between the two, just as Tetsuo had launched an attack. This hit Akane directly and even as she fell, Ranma understood what had happened, reacted quickly and caught the victim.

Ranma looked worriedly into Akane's pained face. "Akane .. Is everything ok? Now say something!" Desperate the words came out of his mouth and when Akane didn't answer him, Ranma suddenly got angry. He gently laid Akane's head on the floor, brushed some hair from her face and looked at her lovingly. Then he got up and glared at Tetsuo like never before. "Tetsuo ..", he paused to calm down, because he was trembling so much with anger that he could hardly be understood.“Why didn't you block the attack when you saw Akane standing between us !?” It sounded more like a threat than a question and if Ranam was being honest he didn't even want an answer to it. He looked worried again at Akane, who was lying on the ground and not moving.

Ranma ran up to Tetsuo, who was rooted to the spot and apparently still didn't understand what had just happened and that it was his fault that Akane was so badly wounded. Just before Ranma reached Tetsuo, he raised his arm and clenched his hand into a fist. He was about to strike when he stopped short in front of Tetsuo's face. He was visibly shocked and looked very confused at Ranma. Ranma did not look back, but had bowed her head towards the floor. His voice rose again, still very angry, but much quieter than before: "I'll let you walk now .. But only because I have to take care of Akane .." There was a brief silence, then ranma over him again the word."The next time I see you, you will atone for everything you did to Akane, do you hear? Everything!" Angrily, he turned away from the frozen Tetsuo, turned around and bent down to Akane. Carefully he picked her up and quickly but carefully set off on the way home.

Tetsuo heard Ranma's words repeat themselves over and over in his head. He tore himself from his thoughts with a shake of his head and decided to fight Ranma one more time and win. If he could do this, Akane would finally see that Tetsuo was serious about her. Resolutely, he looked at the sky, which was covered with clouds, and only thought of one thing: to defeat Ranma!

Ranma had meanwhile arrived at the Tendo's house, went upstairs to her room as quickly as he could with Akane in his arms and laid her gently on her bed. After taking off her shoes, he covered Akane and wondered what to do.Should he just wait and see how she is when she was awake? He decided to look for the "Saotome special drink against everything". After he had found it, he went back to Akane as quickly as possible and carefully poured the potion into her. All the time until Akane woke up, Ranma sat by her bed. At some point, after an indefinite amount of time, Akane blinked open his eyes and looked into Ranma's own. When he saw that Akane came to, he immediately jumped up to inquire about her well-being: "Akane !! How are you? Are you in pain? I didn't know what to do, that's why I gave you the" Saotome special drink against everything "given .. Did he help? I .." Akane stopped him by placing a finger on Ranma's lips. Carefully she sat up and smiled at Ranma: "I'm fine, Ranma .. Apparently your drink has worked." You could literally see how she saw pure relief in the face. "Are .. are you sure? Tetsuo hit you pretty hard."Akane assured him with a nod that everything was fine." Thank you Ranma for looking after me. "Embarrassed, she looked at her hands folded on her lap.
