Shaolan didn't understand. Sakura had changed. But not only externally, but apparently also internally. She had never turned him down. Sometimes they even worked together in the past. Was he bothering her? Was he in her way? Maybe she was actually in love and didn't want him, Shaolan to stick to her all the time, giving the impression that she was taken. And it gave him a pang when he thought that Yukito might be the lucky one.

The last three days had been pretty calm. Sakura spent most of the time in her room. There she read, talked to Kero or listened to music. At most she came down to eat and when she went out, then only for less than 5 minutes. Shaolan was pretty quiet and you could tell he was bothered by the way Sakura treated everyone. Everyone except Sakura noticed that Shaolan was suffering. She was barely seen and only partially perceived her surroundings.Daria, however, noticed very well that Shaolan was not doing well, but she couldn't figure out why. So spent the whole time with him, tried by all means to seduce him, stuck to him like a burdock and did not let go. In the meantime, Meiling had decided to help a little with the relationship between the two.

"Daria! Come on for a moment, please!"

“What is it?” Daria appeared curiously in the living room.

"Could you kidnap Shaolan to the cinema? I have something else to do here and he shouldn't notice."

Daria's eyes lit up.

"Yeah, sure! I'll be happy to." She ran enthusiastically to Shaolan. Meiling rubbed his hands.

With this happy thought, she went into the kitchen. There she heard, to her astonishment, a noise that sounded like someone was eating something.But she couldn't see anyone far and wide. Since she was hardly afraid of anything, she snuck past the refrigerator in the direction of the dining room.

The noise grew louder it came from the cupboard with dishes.

She stood in front of the closet with a scream

"WAAAAAH! ARE YOU SPINNING ???"

Kero looked up from a piece of cake, indignant.

"I was scared, I almost choked on me!"

Meiling stared at him with open mouth, amazed at Kero.

"Kero-chan! Why are you here? And does Sakura know that you are here?"

"Yeah ... told her that I wanted to pay her a visit again."

"And what is the real reason you're here?"

Kero floated over to the couch.

"Well ..." he said, "I'm here because ..."

He took a deep breath and waved his fork.

Meiling listened in silence. She thought for a moment and finally said:

"Shaolan, you must by no means be with Daria ..." she tried to whisper to him, but was interrupted by Daria, who stormed out of her room and exclaimed in happy exuberance:"We can go, Shaolan !!"

Shaolan smiled pained. In fact, he had only accepted so as not to offend her.

Daria hooked up with him and put on a happy smile. At that moment the opposite door opened and Sakura appeared. Meiling and Shaolan caught their breath. Daria's smile now looked a bit fake.

"Where ... where are you going, Sakura?" Meiling asked, still a little shocked. Sakura's expression darkened.

"To the cinema. The new film should be very good."

Without giving anyone else a look, she went on, simply down the stairs and marched towards the front door. Shaolan felt his legs tingle. He felt the need to run after her. But he wasn't allowed to.

Sakura swallowed hard. She too had been in shock at first.When she stepped out the door, she had looked directly into Shaolan's eyes, desperate for help.

She closed the front door behind her and started walking. Her legs were shaking a little, but that was no wonder since she had hardly eaten in the past few days.

> I'm going to eat something in the cinema ... I have enough money with me. <

“Shaolan, please wait a moment!” Meiling looked at him pleadingly.

"What is it?"

She pulled Shaolan by the sleeve and took a few steps away from Daria, who watched the spectacle in astonishment.

"Um, please take care of Sakura ... I fear bad things ... she hasn't eaten in the last few days and that could damage her."

"But I'm with Daria ..."

"Shaolan, I rely on you" she interrupted him. "So! Bye, and not much fun!"

Without waiting for an answer, she turned and disappeared into the room.

The cinema wasn't very busy. Many places remained free. Sakura sat behind Shaolan and Daria. To her displeasure, Daria snuggled up against him and didn't let go of him for a second. The movie was only half as great. Daria seemed to have fallen asleep after a while and Shaolan took advantage of this.

He turned slowly, so as not to wake Daria, to Sakura. To his amazement, he couldn't see anyone. Then, all of a sudden, her face appeared in front of him. She had wanted to pick up the Coke can from the floor and leaned down to her. Their faces were very close and Sakura was still a bit shocked to suddenly see Shaolan's face. She felt his warm breath and was close to forgetting everything around her.To forget that she wanted nothing more to do with him. To forget that he loved Daria (at least she thinks so).

But a jerky movement made the two separate.

"Shaolan, what are you doing ??" hissed Daria indignantly.

"Well ... um, so ..."

"I dropped my ring and rolled it under his seat, so I asked him to pick it up." Sakura saved the predicament.

"Aha." She eyed them suspiciously. It wasn't hard to see that she wasn't buying a word from them.

"Yes, um ... here it is." To Sakura's astonishment, Shaolan really took out a ring and handed it to her.

"Oh thank you!" she stammered confused.

Both turned back to film. Sakura, however, looked into the void.

She was confused and didn't understand anything anymore.
