Chapter: Katashi Kazuki's story
"Spoken by the people"
// Thoughts of a single person //
(Notes from me)
A young man, with longer blue hair and dressed in black, in trousers and a T-shirt, strode down the corridor. A few steps later he turned a corner to the right and went down the corridor to the end. Above all on the walls were paintings of aristocrats who had long since ended their lives and who had done great things. Like, for example, the great taro who captured the dreaded Hydra and cut off her heads while he was still alive. (The Hydra has nine heads, you probably know them from some saga. As soon as I know where I've read that, I'll give it to you so you can get an idea).
Large flower pots stood on the floor at regular intervals, with the most colorful flowers that could be found in the whole country.
At his destination, Katashi Kazuki, the young man with the longer blue hair, stepped through the door that adorned the center of the wall.“And did you get yourself back? “He closed the door behind him and looked at the boy who was sitting on the bed that was on the right wall by a window. "Oh come on, leave me alone" the boy with the short red hair poisoned Katashi. He was sitting on the bed, his feet bent and his gaze was devoted to the window and everything outside.
Outside he watched as the people in the courtyard went about their work. Every now and then guards came by to see what was right.
On the small bedside table next to the bed was a glass and a water jug. A maid had left it there a good two hours ago so that the new castle inhabitant could drink when he liked. "That's crazy" without averting his eyes, Isamu Takashi began to speak. "It can't be, that's just a bad dream," the red-haired boy ran his hand through his short hair, he had intended to brush a strand from his face that had been shipped there without any permission from him."You should believe it, because that's the reality" Katashi Kazuki started moving to get to the bed with the person sitting on it. Isamu Takashi sighed deeply "Yes, of course, the reality, what is it, an illusion that some idiot lied to you many years ago". Without realizing it, Isamu whispered some nonsense. His eyes were still on the window. Katashi Kazuki now sat down next to the boy, who was not much younger than himself. "You can see it as you want, nothing will change, even if you wanted to." Katashi Kazuki read one of his two hands on Isamus' shoulder rest. Then he saw Isamu Takashi out the window.
Dark clouds began to build up over the property. The people in the yard were taking their fabrics, vegetables and fruits, cattle and other things into the houses.
In the meantime it had started to rain. The children continued to play their games despite the bad weather. They seemed to enjoy feeling the cold wet on their skin, seeing the wet earth on their clothes and catching each other. The children's mothers came to bring them into the house as the rain was getting heavier.
“You will get used to it in a while. It was exactly the same for me at the beginning, it will be a bit tough and you will feel exhausted from all the fighting and traveling, but you will see that in time you won't want to be without it ”Katashi Kazuki rose and stepped up again close the door. What remained was a slightly irritated, confused and overtired Isamu Takashi, who was still sitting on the bed and staring out the window. // No way, it will come to that. // Isamu Takashi's gaze darkened. His body began to shake and without knowing it, a tear escaped him unnoticed. // I will simply refuse, exactly, that's it, they should look for someone else. I'm definitely not going to do it without me //There was currently a strong storm outside. The trees bent, some even lost one of their beautiful, lush, green leaves.
The water on a lake near the castle made high waves. A small fishing boat could just barely get back to its jetty, the fisherman who sat in the boat had difficulty and hardship to get to his house.
Katashi Kazuki turned the corner he had taken at the beginning. // Isamu Takashi will be fine. And then he will see that it is not as bad as his grandfather told him to be // Katashi Kazuki could not suppress a slight grin and so the corners of his mouth turned up slightly.
The blue-haired man knew exactly that it would not be easy for Isamu Takashi, but he and the two twins had to go through that too, and why should it be any different for Isamu.
What happened four years ago:
The door of a small house was opened. The four residents sat in the small kitchen. An old man, an old woman, a middle-aged mother, and a boy of nineteen.
The mother jumped up, causing the chair to tip over backwards. She fell on her knees in front of the three men who were about to enter the apartment. There were innumerable tears in her eyes that searched their way down her cheek. A man stepped past the guards from behind. "Oh please, leave me my son" the woman begged for her son, whom Osamu, the king's magician, wanted to take with him. That was why he had come to fetch the young Katashi Kazuki. To train him for the fight and wisdom against evil. To save the world and to make sure that everything stayed the way it had developed. The magician had come to teach him the ancient scriptures as he was one of the four chosen to protect the land from the evil Nanashi.
Nanashi was about the same age as Osamu.Like the magician, he tried to achieve his goals and dreams. He had withdrawn a long time ago in order to forge his dark plans further in secret and to improve them. He was also building a huge army to roll over the country so he could seize power.
The boy hid behind the grandfather's back. So he and his grandmother hoped they wouldn't find him anytime soon.
"Don't do that, you know exactly what he was born for," Osamu pushed the grandfather aside. "You can't just take my boy away from me like that" the mother cried so hard that what she was saying could not be clearly understood through the sobbing. “But I'm not taking it away from you, it will only be gone for a few days. Later, when he will learn on his own, he can visit you at any time. ”Osamu had reached the boy. He took his arm and left the house. The guards also had their backs on the people.
All that was left in the house that was so happy before was sadness. Mourning the alleged loss of the boy who was allowed to spend nineteen years in his home before Osamu came to get him.
You will give birth to a boy.
He is one of the chosen few
Who are destined to face our world
To protect Nanashi and to keep everything that way
How it created the world itself ..
I will come in nineteen years
And take it with you.
He should learn the ancient scriptures
And together with the other three
Elect, his and ours
Fulfill Destiny
Those were the words Osamu said to his parents at the time. You agreed to it. But that had changed after the father's death. Katashi Kazuki was responsible for the well-being of the family of four when she was ten. Since the grandfather was already too old to provide food.At the castle, Katashi Kazuki was shown his new room. Like Isamu Takashi, he sat on his bed and looked out the window. He kept thinking of the words his father had said to him on his deathbed. With the last words to encourage his son, he died.
Katashi Kazuki was torn from his thoughts by a bright flash of lightning followed by a deafening thunder. There had been a knock on the door he had locked for a few moments. Katashi Kazuki got up to open it. Osamu stood in front of the door. He had something in hand. It was a big old book, slightly dusty. "Here, you will read this and then I will examine you" Osamu handed the book to Katashi. Then he looked for his way that led into the depths of the old castle. Amazed and without saying a word, the blue-haired boy stood in the doorway. He locked the door again and sat down on the chair at the table.// and should I really read all of that? // He put the book on the table and opened the first page. His eyes widened when he saw the many small letters that made up all Latin words.
He got a headache after the first page. That was not only due to the text, which he could actually understand without any effort, but much more because the thunderstorm did not want to end. Because lightning constantly illuminated the area, which was accompanied by many thunders. His eyes had a lot of work to do with reading as it kept getting dark and lighter again. Katashi could take it for a while, but over time it just became too much for him.
He got up and lay down on his bed.
He just left his right arm next to his body. With the left he had covered his eyes so that everything was dark. He lay there for a while, until tiredness caught up with him and he fell asleep.
The next morning he was awakened by the noise coming from the courtyard.Katashi straightened up and looked out the window. Foreign riders had broken into the castle walls. They beat everything that wasn't nailed down with their swords. The children and women ran away. Some were caught and the riders disappeared with them into some houses that were not yet on fire. They stayed there for a while.
The strange riders came out of the houses again. In doing so, they drew their armor correctly again, as they had disturbed what they were doing with the women and got in the way. There was a knock on Katashi's door. He unlocked it to see who was there. "You have to leave quickly" a young maid with green hair pulled Katashi's arm and pointed to the direction from which she had come. "But I can't just run away when the people down in the yard need my help," he tore himself away and ran in the opposite direction the maid had pointed.
As the guards ran by, he took one of the swords that were hanging on their belts and hurried out with it.As soon as he had walked out the door, three enemy knights came towards him. Katashi didn't hesitate and a fight ensued.
