Chapter: Kagome decision

So, here is the 3rd chapter.

They walked through the forest for a while until they came to a small village where they wanted to take a short rest. Once there, they saw a young woman who was laboriously dragging a rather heavy-looking bucket of water. "Inu Yasha!", Was all Kagome said and the dog demon understood immediately. "Yes, yes.", He mumbled and went to the woman to help her. For some time now, Kagome has been smiling again and went to Inuyasha with Sango and the others. He was just taking the bucket from the woman and asked where it was going. She pointed to a hut just outside the village. The woman wondered until Kagome came and explained everything to her.
Out of gratitude, she invited the friends to dinner, and they accepted. "Thanks for your help.", She said later when they were in her hut. “My name is Miharu, by the way.” “Hello Miharu. We were happy to do it.” Kagome smiled with a sideways glance at Inuyasha, who had withdrawn into a corner, offended."My name is Kagome. These are Sango, Miroku, Shippo, Kirara and Inu Yasha." "Hello," said everyone except Inu Yasha.
After they had finished eating, they talked a little longer. Only Inuyasha left the hut on the grounds that he would go for a walk. Kagome followed him and a little later saw him sitting in a tree. "Inuyasha!" Said Kagome happily. The person addressed, who had not noticed Kagome because he was lost in thought, startled barely noticeably and then pretended to have seen her from a distance. "Yes?" Asked Inuyasha, who turned to Kagome and noticed that she was trying to climb the tree. Just before she got upstairs, Inuyasha reached out to her and pulled her up. "What was wrong with you earlier? Sango, Miroku and Shippo are worried about you.", He said. "Kagome looked down at the village and asked," You too? "Inuyasha blushed a little and turned away from her to hide it." Well .. of course.", he stammered. When he had recovered himself he added:" You are not like that otherwise. It is clear that then you worry. "" I'm ... I'm sorry. "Kagome muttered, looking down." You don't have to be sorry. Just tell me what you got "he almost begged. Kagome didn't know how to explain it to him when she suddenly saw that face again in the dark forest, which looked pitch-black in the light of the setting sun. She clawed at Inu Yashas fearfully." "Well, Kagome, I couldn't see anything. If it were a demon I would smell it. You just seem to be imagining that." Kagome looked angry. "I know what I see. This face haunts me! You see, that's why I didn't want to tell you! You don't believe me anyway!" Kagome almost shouted and, insulted, climbed down the tree and ran back into the village. Inu looked after Kagome in amazement and then followed her into the village.
They stayed at Miharu's and left very early the next morning. "Thank you, Miharu!" Kagome called back again. Miharu stood in front of her house and answered with a "You're welcome!" before going back to her hut.
Kagome was still mad at Inuyasha, which he didn't understand. This time Inuyasha stopped and sniffed. Then he said: “Oh no.” But then he was already there. Kouga. "Hello, Kagome!" He said beaming with joy while holding her hands. "Hello.", said Kagome friendly. Inu Yasha immediately stood between and turned on the wolf:" What do you want Kouga? Stop messing with Kagome, got it! "" It's okay, boy boy! Just don't get excited! "replied Kouga. Kagome stepped out from behind Inuyasha and wanted to know something from Kouga." Kouga? Have you heard that a huge crater appeared near here? "Inuyasha looked puzzled. He didn't expect Kagome to stand in front of him." Yes, Kagome. I've heard it before. Nobody knows how such a huge hole could easily appear. "Kagome nodded." Right. We saw the crater and asked the villagers, but no one heard anything. "
"Strange.", Kouga muttered just loud enough for Kagome to understand. "You're annoying, Kouga. Don't you want to go again?" Inuyasha grumbled. Kagome got angry. “It's his decision when he goes!” Kouga looked at her and was visibly pleased that Kagome was putting the dog demon in its place.Inuyasha was visibly shocked by Kagome's words. "Kagome, don't you want to come with me?", Kouga asked Kagome expectantly. "Why should Kagome want to see you? She ..." He got no further, because Kagome interrupted him. "I would be happy to come with you! I would like to see your friends again!" Inuyasha stood there as if made of stone with a frightened expression on her face. Sango, Shippo and Miroku also looked at each other helplessly. "Ka ... Kagome." Inuyasha stammered. She just looked at him coldly and went to Kouga, who picked her up and sped off with her. The dog demon just stood there and couldn't believe what Kagome had just done.
