Chapter: Where's Inuyasha?

In the meantime it was evening when the girls went looking for the boys. "Where are you? Did something happen?", Kagome asked while she stared sadly at her present. "Don't worry, Kagome. You can give him your present right away.", Sango tried to encourage her. Kagome nodded in agreement. After a few minutes they saw Miroku walking in their direction with a young woman. "Who is this woman? Could he not hold back again?" Sango got angry. “It's definitely not what you think!” “Miroku!” At the sound of his name, he looked up and saw the girls in front of him. He also noticed that Sango was pissed off. "I'm sorry we just left, but Kumiko was attacked by a demon. Can you please help me?" Kagome went immediately and supported Kumiko's other side and helped her to get to the village faster.
Sango followed the three of them. She wasn't sure what to think.Didn't Miroku hold back? Or is he just making a lifesaver to get at her?All the way into the village, Sango wondered what to believe.
When they arrived in the village, Kagome, Miroku and Sango let themselves be led to Kumiko's hut. "Where are Shippo and Kirara anyway?" Remarked Kagome. Sango went to the door and called for Kirara, who came running immediately with Shippo on her back. "Nice to have you back!", Sango said, relieved. "Yes, but where is Inuyasha?" Interjected Kagome. She looked around until she noticed that Miroku was looking so strange. "What's going on, Miroku? Do you know where Inuyasha is? Then please tell me!" Pleaded Kagome. Miroku shook his head in denial. "I saw that he went away, but unfortunately not where. I'm sorry, Kagome." She looked sadly at the floor. But after a few seconds she went down on her knees to put Kumiko's bandage on properly. "You were lucky that our boys were around!", Kagome stated." Yes, that's right. This demon would surely have killed me if Miroku and Inuyasha hadn't shown up. ", Kumiko agreed. That night they stayed in Kumiko's hut.
The next morning Inuyasha was still not back and so they went off alone, hoping to find him in the forest.
Where is he? Otherwise he'll never just go away like that. Did something happen to him? I wanted to give him my present. thought Kagome sadly. "Oh Kagome. Stop worrying about it. Everything will be all right. He already knows what to do. Maybe he could smell another demon or something. He'll be right back.", Sango tried reassuring her friend that she has noticed that Kagome is worried. "Yes, you are right," said Kagome, unconvinced. Suddenly a thought occurred to her.[i]Did he smell kikyo? He had only disappeared without a trace once when he was running after Kikyo.It can't be, can it? He said to me that he loves me more than she does. I hope he was serious!This thought scared her. Afraid of losing him. She started running, hoping not to be late. Sango and Miroku were amazed at Kagome's sudden departure and tried to keep up with her until they lost her. "Where did she go? Why was she suddenly in such a hurry?" Sango wanted to know. "I have no idea.", Miroku replied. "Kagomeeee!" Shippo called from behind the two of them. Sango tried to calm him down: "Don't worry, Shippo. She'll be back ... I hope." She added this "I hope" so softly that nobody but her could hear it.
