Chapter: Three words

This is my second poem now! It has become a bit sad because it is about a love that is unfortunately only one-sided later. It is meant to make clear the feelings of a breakup that can be very painful at times!

Three words

When I first saw you
my heart jumped with happiness

You beamed all over your face
and your lovely laugh enchanted me

I wanted to address you calmly
But our eyes were already talking

We got to know each other
We got closer

I loved your special quirks
I respected our differences

I read your wishes from your eyes
and my heart was filled with love

Then came the sentence I wanted
,,I love you!"

My heart skipped
what would the future hold for us?

But your smile faded
You just left without me

You said you were lonely
You said I would stop youMy heart contracted
what would the future hold for us?

Then came the most dreaded sentence
,,It's over"

Three words as sharp as a knife
Three deep wounds in my loving heart

You said it with a fearless expression
You looked at me so relieved

The last thing you saw
were my glittering tears

You left me with my tears
and I fell into a black depth
