Chapter 1

"Do we want to stay here?"
"Yes ... get the others ..."
A black figure crept out of an abandoned old house and disappeared into the darkness of the night.
The second person was still standing upstairs, familiarizing themselves with the building.
The house was in the middle of the city, but in a bad area, you could have found out that much right away.
He lit a candle and in the glow of the light his grin could be seen.

He was startled by a third shadow.
"What are you already doing here, Neru? The others are sure to be looking for you! Go back!"

This was already the 5th dead person and the others were slowly becoming suspicious.
Serge and Neru knew that some would definitely run away. And it wouldn't be long before the first would flee.
These weren't part of the Sky Troop.
But they still had to die.
From the day they were chosen, from the day they found out about the Sky Force and decided to go with them, they had made a pact that was life or death.
Only 12 left, thought Serge.
He longed to have all eight others around him.
He didn't know what they could do with their combined power, but he wanted to control that power.He wanted to lead that power.
And punish those who had given him his cruel past.

"Get up Miu! We have to get out of here! I hear footsteps!"
"You really have the ears of a lynx!"
Miu rubbed her eyes and stood up.
The two of them quickly scurried to the door and was just about to leave when they saw a man standing at the bottom of the stairs.
Their eyes brushed each other and the man's expression changed abruptly.
First he was confused, then he got angry.
"What are you doing in my apartment?" He yelled through the stairwell.
"Miu, go back inside! Quick! The guy's drunk. Who knows what he'll do to us when he gets his hands on us!"
The guy walked heavily up the stairs.
He couldn't move very quickly because of his body weight.
The two ran through the dark apartment, desperately looking for a place to hide.
"Miu come here!" Her mother screamed in panic.
The mother opened the balcony door and pushed her daughter outside."What are we doing here?" Asked Miu.
Then she understood.
“You want us to jump?” She couldn't believe it.
"It's not deep and on this side of the house are the dumpsters.
They probably don't have any here, just rubbish bags piled on top of each other! "
"Good. I'll jump first! Children survive this easier!", Miu said determinedly and swung one leg over the bars.
At that moment the balcony door opened a second time and the owner of the apartment stood in front of them.
"So here are the haunting ones."
He staggered towards Miu 's mother.
"You're a very pretty one!"
He hugged her and she could hardly breathe from his bad breath.
"Go kid!", She yelled at Miu, who stopped moving and looked at the guy in fear.
"How can you make up for the fact that both of you broke into me?" Asked the disgusting guy and hugged Miu 's mother even closer.
Miu swung her leg back and ran towards the guy.They rammed him with full force and he let go of her mother in shock rather than in the impact, tripped and fell.

Miu took her mother by the hand and they jumped off the balcony together.
As their mother had said, the two ended up on stacked garbage bags.
"Come on Miu!"
Her mother quickly rushed her on and the two ran away.
They could still hear the guy screaming from the balcony, but couldn't understand what he was screaming.
"That was pretty close!"
Miu snorted and stopped when they were far enough from the place of horror.
Her mother hugged her tightly.
"Forgive me Miu! I couldn't have put you in such danger! If you hadn't saved me ... And ..."
She sobbed.
