A 13 year old Tasuki that is Shoun (for information in this chapter he is only called shoun
since he's not a bandit or a seishi yet) ran with a group of boys from his village towards the forest. Senusuke: "Have you heard of the child-eating witch in the forest?"

Now everyone stopped - nobody wanted to meet the witch. But did they really exist, everyone was talking about her, but maybe or very likely the adults just didn't want the boys to go into the forest so often because they always came back dirty with new scuffed and tattered clothes. Shoun heard something move in the tree above him and jump down. Shoun closed his eyes his whole body ached, he could hardly breathe and now he was about to die and couldn't defend himself No: "Please, please don't eat me, I'll do whatever you want?" .... ° .... ° When he didn't get an answer, he opened his eyes and looked directly into ° Sea ° no into two beautiful eyes that looked at him urgently as if she could read everything in him. These eyes would now haunt him his whole life, he knew that, but then it turned black around him the pain led him straight into the quiet darkness.~~~~~
